Usually car is started once for a few seconds & oil level is checked. This is in case any slight oil needs to be added. ( obviously adding too much can damage engine. So be careful) Your engine oil looked pretty dark for a petrol car. If car is sitting long hours in traffic almost entire 10,000 kms. Then better change oil sooner. Kms impact on engine oil between a highway & city used car will be different. Especially cold starts where car is seeing few km intervals. Them cleaning the air filter & enclosure is a nice touch.
In Shell bunk, 5W 30, fully synthetic fuel save oil alone is MRP price 3800 rs, No discount. For this price in Honda it self I can complete full service at 6000 rs. One more interesting fact, in amazon they sell fully synthetic HX8 oil at 2100 only, but they will not have that at the bunk. It's a scam by stating that its not in stock, in back to back bunks in chennai.
I know they say 1 year. If your engine is reaching operating temp often & not too many short journeys, can push it to 18 months. But petrol cars if petrol is mixed with oil they break down quicker. That is why i said if cold starts are more. Meaning your car is only traveling like 2 or 4kms often. Number of times you did cold start in 10,000 kms increases compared to a car which did longer journeys or highway etc
