Is tha Caron Latte cakes? I don’t remember seeing what kind of yarn you used, it was so beautiful! Thank you for your lovely tutorial and soothing music. Thank goodness for pause and replay so I could read the screen. But that was because of my old eyes weren’t quick enough. The pattern is so simple even I could understand it without words. Love this tutorial. Thank you for sharing with us.
Yes, it is Caron Latte Cakes - Starfruit. This was my second video that I made (this is the first one where I show the yarn used th-cam.com/video/knzsoaYNTd8/w-d-xo.html)! I didn't know if my English was good enough for a TH-cam Channel :) , but from the comments I decided that it's best to explain what I'm doing even if I make mistakes in my speaking... So, after these two videos I started to record with words. Thank you so much for watching!
@@AlinaHeraDesignsthanks for the info. It is beautiful and looks like a dream to work with. I will be viewing your other videos soon. Do not worry Alina, I’m sure your words will be fine❤
Good job. I understood what you were doing perfectly and I've only made 2 hats so far. I was looking at my work and wondered if I could fasten the 2 pieces together by placing the beginning stitches back on the needles. Member in knitting machine Queens on Facebook recommended your video. My case the concept was for a double layer beanie and just to fasten the two ends together before casting off. I'll need to experiment to see if I could still cinch it if I do that. I will most definitely be doing brims like you demonstrated on any projects I do with a brim.
Thank you for watching! You can fasten off both end together. Before you pick up the stitchs, cut your yarn leaving a long tail for cast off. Then follow the same steps: pick un the stitch from first row, then instead of knitting them (now you have 2 loops) you pick them up with the needle . I will try to make a video 📹 😊.
Just a question about the pom-pom gadget/holder which is secured inside the hat - could this be felt as a hard lump on the top of the head when wearing?
If you close the hat with the cinched method (just pull the yarn as I did in this video) , then you don't feel the plastic cord lock. However, if you hand knit last rounds of the hat by decreasing the stitches for a tight beanie fit, then you may feel the plastic cord lock.
Thank you! Yes, the total is 85 rows. Just the Brim is double layer ( first 50 rounds are for the Brim. You make the brim by picking up every stitch of the 1st row and place it over the working needle); then the rest of the hat it's just one layer (until you have 85 rounds). Of course that you can make it longer if you want 😊.
I tried this but your yarn must have been stretchier than mine or something because it was pulling so much towards the end I was afraid of breaking the needles. Maybe I didn’t line the bottom stitches up with the corresponding needles. I am going to re-knit again making sure the stitch right next to the cast off at the bottom aligns exactly with the top black needle starting point.
Make sure that you pick up the corresponding stitch. When you start your "brim round/ pick up round ", stop before the 1st needle and pick up the 1st stitch from the first round, them you knit them together. The yarn that I used is acrylic & nylon and it's stretchier than one with just acrylic. I have used this method for different yarns and it worked. I hope that it will work for you too! Thank you for watching!
I agree! The music was kind of creepy! I couldn’t watch the whole thing. Her voice is so lovely that I’d much rather hear her explain what she’s doing.
I love the music with the written instructions. I’m much better at reading than listening. So this way is perfect for me. Crazy how we all prefer different things:) GREAT VIDEO:) exactly what I was looking for. Xoxo
I didn't know what you was doing b because you don't talk about what you are doing I won't be making hats like you don't tell people how do it. I will be making them my way.
Dear Lydia Nannen, if you watch the video you will see that I did explain on the screen what I was doing in the video. You have all the numbers and the rounds count typed at these minutes: 0:10 Cast on with waste yarn and knit 3 to 5 rounds. 1:08 Switch to main color and knit 50 rounds. 2:32 Round 51: create the Brim, then knit 34 rounds and cast off. Thank you for watching!
Your video was so helpful!😃 Thank you for going slow and your video angels were great.

Do you have a link to the pompom fastener you used? It worked really well. Another great video.
This is what I have www.amazon.ca/dp/B08JLTH6WM/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_apodGbD5XEN40?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
How many row after brim ? I have must have miss it. Beautiful. Gonna try it next.
For this hat I knitted 34 rounds after the brim. (50 + 1brim + 34 = 85 rounds in total).
@@AlinaHeraDesigns just did this. I like this one better!. Beautiful.
@@AlinaHeraDesigns thank you so much
Wow, I didn’t know you can use such hairy yarn.
Yes you can, and it runs smooth through the machine (this is Caron Latte Cakes)! Thank you for watching!
Was this 46 pin?
Yes, it's Addi Express Kingsize amzn.to/45Ib7mb
What tool do you use to rotate the crank. Is it an electric screwdriver or an actual drill?
I have purchased an adapter ( www.etsy.com/ca/listing/830285326 ) and I use screwdriver.

This happens to me too, to the point its impossible to join like the last 10-15 stitches
You need to talk and not have music 🎵🎶 🎶🎵 on so people know what you are doing it will be helpful for it
