Making a Southern Pecan Pie on Christmas Eve

- Ingredients for 1 pie: 1 unbaked pie crust. Mix together 3 eggs, 1 c Karo light corn syrup, 3/4 c sugar, 2 Tbls melted butter, 1 Tbls flour, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 8 oz pkg of pecans. Bake for 1 hr @ 350 degrees until filling is done

Celebrating gift exchange for Christmas on New Years day is so much cheaper to shop boxing day, but omg the stores are nuts busy then and the stuff is so picked over. But if you're not wanting to buy any particular item and have several items to chose from a list then you got it made in the shade for saving money!! I've been binge watching , rather binge listening, and clicking away like on so many video comments!!

Glenda, I only prick pie crusts for pie shells that have to be baked before you add the filling...like pudding pies with meringues. Pricking the shell before you add your sugary pecan pie filling probably causes it to stick to the pie pan and make it more difficult to remove slices. Just thought I'd pass on a little of my baking information.
I never even thought about that, but it certainly makes sense. I never could figure out why my pecan pie stuck to the pan. THANK YOU!! You're worth your weight in gold

You could bake two pies at once in your oven. You are missing your second shelf! I hope you can find another oven shelf to fit your small oven - perhaps at goodwill or somewhere similar. Maybe John would know where your other one went.

Perfect timing on the Ninja. My sister loves hers. She buys and freezes bananas that are turning Brown. Wraps them in wax paper then into a freezer bag. 1 frozen nana makes a perfect smoothly along with a dash of almond milk and leftover berries. You'll love it.
I can't wait to use it. I froze the grapes from the Aldi dumpster & I have frozen bananas too

Love your videos! Baking soda makes the best diy deodorant. A small pinch rubbed on your armpits is all you need and protects for up to 3 days depending on how sweaty you get.

350 degrees for 1 hour. You can test it by inserting a knife in the center & if it comes out clean it's done

He's just finished his first year of living in Santa Monica, CA. He has always been athletic, but I noticed a difference in his overall look. He has a personal trainer now and is boxing and is getting into nutrition. Amazing how noticeably different he appears. I'm so glad to see him for Xmas. Hagd tomorrow ♥
