I'm going in for heart bi-pass surgery Monday, prayers from those interested are welcomed. Two weeks stay, six-week recovery. Got my neighbor, a landscaper at TCU will tend it for a while. My garden is doing so well.
Thanks for sharing! We used to grow a big garden every year, but it's been several years now. I miss it sometimes. Just two of us, getting older, still at this house, and we don't need so much to plant, weed, and process.. A few tomato plants would be nice, though. Nothing like fried green tomatoes or a home-grown tomato sandwich! 🍅🥪
I just love Jill's garden ❤❤..n you of course. Looking beautiful ❤️ you two r like sisters..my cucumber r not growing yet my daughter has huge cucumbers n zucchini...my tomatoes r green lol...I'm not good at gardens.. however I look forward to Jill's garden every year❤thanks so much Jill n dear Glenda
@@glendasullyi started my garden too late lol so far green tomatoes,I hope soon red and cucumbers my daughter gave me bunch hers.beautiful eggplant and zucchini ❤
With all of those cucumbers growing you most certainly can definitely make pickles and relishes of out of some of the pickles. Next year the cucumber should be planted a separate garden plot to themselves to avoid them from overrunning the other vegetable plants. Other than that Jill's garden most certainly is thriving. Thanks for sharing an update on your daughter Jill's garden. Have a great rest of your day my friend.😊❤ If you could please checkout my newly uploaded videos. Thank you for being such an good friend. ❤❤❤
Wow, her garden is so lush and healthy. Probably too late now, but those tomatoes looked like they were pretty good-sized on the cut-off branch. If they were as big as they seemed, she probably could have either put the whole branch in water, and put it somewhere, where the sun would get to the tomatoes and they likely would still have ripened. Or picked the tomatoes off the branch, and sat them in a sunny window inside, and they might have ripened still! Anyway, it looks like you're going to have a great harvest from that garden this year!
I purchased pickle bush cucumber plants this year because I had the same problem with cucumbers taking over. I have them in a container and they are doing well so far.
Those cucumbers are taking over! Maybe next year you can grow bush cucumbers! Maybe just make a seperate garden for just cucumbers? Husani needs to build another raised bed for just the cucumbers! Everything sure benefitted from your sprinkler system!😊❤
Her garden is beautiful next year I need to do a better job. I think I’m gonna start a saving challenge $1 at a time to start my garden fund for next year. Our dirt is clay basically
That's a great goal for you to aim for. Jill didn't have much success with planting in the ground. Husani made the raised beds & now it grows very well.
I haven't listened to the video yet, but I just want you to know how much I appreciate you and what you do on this channel. I love to see your face. I love to hear your voice. I have even started saying, "Right?" after I make a statement at times. You have been through so many extreme health challenges and have just toughed it out like you're made of steel inside. Keep it up, my friend.
It's too early to cut back your tomatoes, leave them a little longer, at least into August! Then just cut the tops so they stop growing and concentrate on ripening! Your cucumbers are so thick that they might not be getting pollinated! Maybe only 2 plants in your small garden? Just a thought!😊❤ (But the garden does look very healthy!)

When pruning tomatoes, make sure you cut the low hanging leaves. Leaves near the ground can pick up blight!
Thanks for the tip!
❤Video Glenda. Jill is doing amazing what a lovely daughter you have.
Thanks so much
Big thanks to jill for sharing her beautiful garden with us every year ❤

Is mint invasive? I heard it is.
I don't know
That looks like basil going to seed.
The planter up against the fence is her mint & yes it's going to seed
@@glendasully I try plant several places more each year, I love the stuff.

9:49 there's a cucumber I think.
I'll tell Issa to take a second look
What kind of soil does it take to grow cuckes like that!? What is your secret? Those pickles are great! Of course I will like and share!
It's a raised bed & Jill put Miracle Grow soil in them.

Hi Glenda, your grandson has been watching his grandmom and he’s getting good at the TH-cam thing.
Awww thank you for saying that. Of course, his parents want him to study hard & go to college, but he can do that then become a YT creator!
Jill sounds just like you!!!!😊
