2020 can am defender limited, appears oil filter location is different than the standard HD10. Any help here would be appreciated

@@rolsenrolsen It's hidden behind the firewall, access from passenger side engine compartment. Make sure you have an extendable magnet just in case you drop one of the cover screws. It's frustrating but not that difficult. Can-Am has no information in manual about this oil filter location.

Quick tip, remove RR wheel assembly and remove the A/C compressor belt shroud; then prepare to curse in multiple languages as you begin the oil filter cover removal procedure. It's a right bastard. Fully remove the 2 lower bolts with a ratchet wrench THEN loosen and remove the top most bolt (this enables you to remove the lower bolts with your fingers while keeping a decent hold on them for quickness and ease with less likelihood of dropping one).

Watched another video where they took out the passenger seats and went through the removable rear cab panel. I did it that way recently and I highly recommend it! Looks like an arduous task but seriously, 4 minutes and you're staring at the oil filter cover (albeit still behind coolant lines).

I have a 2019 Can am Defender XMR. I need to do a complete 100 mile service. Do you have a video on a 100 mile service and all the things that need to be done?

We currently have how to change the oil, air filter, drive belt, and differential fluid in the Defender. If you watch each of those that if a great start on maintenance for your machine.

Correct! As we mentioned, always check your drain plug magnet for metal shavings. Excess shavings will likely equal engine troubles soon.

We recommend purchasing an oil change kit from your dealership so you have everything you'll need. If you don't wish to do that, 5W-40 engine oil is required.
