    My reverse has went out for some reason. I have the 4 seater Texas Edition

      Might just be a linkage adjustment.

    • @79xlch
      @79xlch 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@endurancekennels Thought about that but all other positions work fine. Seems if I move the linkage it would affect all others. Park is good, reverse grinds a little but will not engage. Past that high works then low works also?

    Decent video I had to skip a lot I didn't care about the turtle just was trying to get right to the point.
    So there's not really a separate transmisson you have change the oil in, thats basically The transmission / rear gearbox you just changed the oil in? I'm really needing to change mine in my xmr.

    • @endurancekennels
      @endurancekennels  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, no separate gear box like the Outlander has. Talk about difficult, oi 💩

    Nice video, did you notice any difference in the ride after you changed this? What about after the engine oil. My buddy said his ran noticeably better once he did initial fluid changes

      Yes for sure. Much quieter and smoother all around.

    Was there a crush washer on the plug?

    I noticed the end of my plug was full.of what looks like an anti seize? Did you notice anything on yours

      No. Do you have a pic? The plug is magnetized so it picks up slack could be just that.

    Take the muffler out. I did it without taking anything off. I have smaller hands tho. It was a big pain in the ass for nothing. I have 1200 miles on mine and it wasn't dirty. Waste of time.

    You dont screw in a dipstick to check fluid level....just so u know for next time.

    • @endurancekennels
      @endurancekennels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting so what do you do?

    • @AllThingsMech
      @AllThingsMech 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Luke: on Can Am machines, yes you do. It says so right in the manual. On some other brands of machines you aren't supposed to (hondas for example), you set the dipstick on the threads without screwing it all the way in to check the oil, and you check it at full operating temp. Not so for Can Am's - you check it with the oil cold and dipstick screwed all the way in.
      Please don't make blanket statements about equipment maintenance without knowing the correct answer. If someone takes that advice and you've given them the wrong info, they'll be over/underfilling their sump...and on machines with small sumps like this, the difference between the dipstick being screwed in or not can end up being a significant amount of oil.
