The main problem here is that "law" means various things. You have the legal system, you have the sacrificial system, you have the first 5 books which also called the law. The ceremonial/sacrificial system and the civil system is obviously fulfilled because Jesus became the sacrifice. The reason they also lump in the 10 commandments into that is because they hate the Sabbath and Idol law. Born-again believers do not work to be saved they work because they are saved! Being saved is not a moment in time is the process from beginning to end! Bing born again is a moment in time!
@Jesus follower it definitely means we should increase our works. How can someone get more muscle without working out? The only way to get better at being obedient is to practice it. As Yahshua says, “many will say in that day ‘Master, Master! We did many wonders in ur name. We cast out demons in ur name.’ And i will say to them, ‘Depart from me. I never knew u. U who PRACTICED LAWLESSNESS. So if they are being rejected for practicing lawlessness then the opposite would be practicing lawfulness. “Practice” is an action we take to train ourselves to become better at a certain task. So if we wish to become more obedient (less sinful) then we should most definitely increase our good works. And in doing so, we’ll see positive results that will motivate us to continue growing. Jus like working out. U start seeing results and it causes u to want to put in more work. James literally said that he shows his faith by doin works. Works are the very evidence of where we place our faith. My faith is in Christ. And John says “anyone who says he believes in Him, should himself walk as He walked.” And Christ kept every command (good works). So are u saying that we shouldn’t follow His example of obedience to God?
James = to Jews Romans = to Christian born again believers. James 2:24 "You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone." Romans 4:5 "And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness". There is no contradictions, Paul isn't a false apostle, you are just bad at rightly dividing the word of truth.

You are right about the commandments having more importance than clean food rules. The clean food rules are only for those who strive to be holy to God. It all depends on how much you want to follow His guidance and instructions, just the basic or all of it.
Not eating pork is an instruction given to His people for their own good because pork is a scavenger and a garbage eater. Remember the old saying : "You are what you eat".
I thank God that Paul wrote Galatians. For I can see in the comments section majority oppose grace alone for salvation and are in deep danger. Righteousness is a gift, you don’t have any of your own. Trust in Jesus alone, while you are still breathing.

@@joshuagreen1015 the curse is the law of sin and death. Sin causes eternal death, Jesus saved us from that curse. You misinterpreted what Paul is telling us.
God created the Law, Jesus came to fulfill its intent. God, Jesus and Holy Spirit are 3 persons. Jesus fulfills the law by communicating to the holy spirit which convicts believers of sin and moves on their hearts to change. Example: the old law was that women should not dress like men and they shouldn’t adorn themselves outwardly. The purpose was to achieve modesty and being beautiful on the inside. Today many women wear dresses only and look down upon other women like they are sinning for wearing women’s pants. So then we have a judgemental women in a dress and perhaps a person in pants who isn’t judgemental. That’s where the need for Jesus comes in, he convicts the hearts of the one who thinks they are righteous because they are following what they perceive was a dress code (LAW) but fail to realize the intent at the expense of judging a sister in Christ unrighteously. This happens all the time in Pentecostal churches. They think they are better because they wear dresses and skirts only and will turn their nose up at a woman who isn’t. Do you really think God cares more about the heart or the outfit ??? The intent was modesty, a woman can be fully covered and modest without wearing a skirt. Also I see women in dresses in church but they are TIGHT dresses which goes against the intended principle. It says in Galatians 5:4. Galatians 5:4 in the Bible says, "You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace". This verse is part of Paul's warning against mixing the Gospel and the law to achieve justification That means don’t pick and choose which laws you will follow because you sure as shit can’t follow all of them and you NEED to believe in Jesus for salvation anywho. He will work on you from the inside out on what’s appropriate and what’s not. It’s called conviction.
@@AlisonChristian-bq4ws You need to realize first that there is but one God, not three. He chooses to manifest Himself in any one of those three forms but he is not three separate persons. He is not a person at all but one entity that no person on earth can fully and completely understand. It is beyond our limited cerebral capacity. Second, you also need to realize that the english Bible we have was not written in english to start with. There are over 900 different english Bibles in english alone and because of copyright laws they are all different. Sadly, not a single one of them has been God inspired. Almost all of them have been using the greek texts as their source and greek has been the devil's favorite tool to deceive the nations. There are over 2,000 greek texts and among them the variations number in the hundred of thousands. So neither greek nor english are dependable to render the message of the original authors of the gospel. So you can not take them at face value. In reality there is but one GOD and he is the same today as He was in the past and will continue to be. He does not change, and He does not contradict Himself. The Law is perfect and has no need whatsoever to be changed in any way shape or form. 1John 2:3-6 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: Hereby know we that we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. 1John 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. The word that is translated as fulfilled actually means He obeyed the Law to perfection, to leave us an example to follow. It does not mean that He put an end to it at all, that is satan's message not God's.
@@AlisonChristian-bq4ws If you do not follow and keep the Law you are not part of God's people there is NO exception to that. The Law is the yardstick God gave His people so they could identify who comes from Him.
Hebrews 7:12 ESV [12] For when there is a change in the priesthood, there is necessarily a change in the law as well. Hebrews 8:13 ESV [13] In speaking of a new covenant, he makes the first one obsolete. And what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

One of the greatest witnesses that atheists who came to know Jesus and received Him as their savior mentioned to me is when they saw believers obey God's word. Obedience to God's word is a powerful witness. Once we accept Christ's salvation as a gift we obey God's commandments out of love for Him.

It says “if you love me keep my commandments” it doesn’t say if you keep my commandments then you love me and are saved. @@diannevelthove9639 I’m agreeing with you, I see two major extremes in the comment sections on these types of questions which are either: grace means that I can sin as much as I want without any desire to change as long as I say I believe in Jesus Christ and second being, if you want to get into Heaven then that will depend on how well YOU obey the commandments and if your good enough then you’ll get in....both extremes have some truth and both have major errors, 1st Christ saved us from sin and to say your saved yet have no desire at all to flee from sin and have a deeper relationship and connection with Christ is a very troublesome sign that the heart hasn’t fully repented and 2nd to say that we need to keep every commandment out of fear of losing our salvation, is not Biblical, we have an advocate in Jesus and we ought to try our best in LOVE not FEAR to obey his commandments, which is why Jesus didn’t say if you fear me keep my commandments but rather” if you LOVE me keep my commandments” 💕

Sure, these are, according to Jesus " Love God and love your neighbor " then in John 13:34 he told His disciples that a new commandment I give you, that you love one another. This is because all of God's moral law is bound in Love: do not steal, do not kill, do not commit adultery/fornication etc. But when Jesus said He came to fulfill the law, he was referring to the ceremonial portion such as sacrificing of animals because He is the sacrifice, the washing of hands, dietary laws, 2 different fabrics and yes, the sabbath, all fulfilled and done away with.
Thank God Jesus fulfilled the sacrificial system, and the perfect love that is, the essence of His Law. The same Law that was placed inside the Ark of the Covenant. And thank God that He has written His Law on my heart so that I may love His Law based on His perfect love, and have it on my forehead, meditating on it day and night, and through my right hand, doing good things. Not that it saves me, no, but because He saved me! 1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome
Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. So what does it mean that Jesus didn’t come to destroy the law, but to fulfill? Destroy G2647 From G2596 and G3089; to loosen down (disintegrate), that is, (by implication) to demolish (literally or figuratively); specifically (compare G2646) to halt for the night: - destroy, dissolve, be guest, lodge, come to nought, overthrow, throw down. Fulfill G4137 From G4134; to make replete, that is, (literally) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (figuratively) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc.: - accomplish, X after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply. How can we understand what meaning of “Fulfill” to use? By the Word! Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Can God’s law be destroyed without our destruction? No! Jer 31:36 If those ordinances (The Law) depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel (see Gal 3:29) also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever. So were ALL things fulfilled with Jesus at the cross? No! But ALL things “concerning Jesus” in the law, prophets, and Psalms were fulfilled! Then we must conclude that the word “Fulfill” means He accomplished the Fathers Law perfectly and fully preached with understanding how we must obey the Fathers Law. If we try to say He destroyed the Law for us, then that makes it about us and not as it says, “concerning Him” (Luk 24:44), and we would no longer exist (Jer 31:36)! Which Mat 5:18 gives us our understanding in this already: Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Now we also have evidence in the very next verse after Mat 5:17 in regards to “Jesus coming to fulfill”. Because it says; heaven and earth must pass away before “the written law (this is a time when He writes His law in our hearts to perfectly obey) can pass away, and then “ALL BE FULFILLED”! Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. H3820 “Heart” A form of H3824; the heart; also used (figuratively) very widely for the feelings, the will and even the intellect; likewise for the centre of anything: - + care for, comfortably, consent, X considered, courag [-eous], friend [-ly], ([broken-], [hard-], [merry-], [stiff-], [stout-], double) heart ([-ed]), X heed, X I, kindly, midst, mind (-ed), X regard ([-ed)], X themselves, X unawares, understanding, X well, willingly, wisdom. Just as Hebrews teaches, which was 70 years after the resurrection, “Behold the days come”! Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them (us), he saith, Behold, the days come (Future event), saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah (Saying Israel and Judah includes all believers): Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant (Just as we don’t perfectly keep His law), and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: Heb 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more (We haven’t gone through His judgment). Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away (It hasn’t happened yet). We have the New Testament, Jesus Christ! For there must be a “Testator”, the one who must die, for the family to receive their inheritance (The Believer)! The confusion for many is that covenant and testament are the same exact word. A covenant with the Father requires a “Blood Sacrifice”, which Jesus fulfilled on the cross!

The real question is why risk it? If you love the Lord you will keep his commandments. Keeping the laws shows that our love is geniue. Grace is there for us when we fall short not a excuse to do whatever we want. We are chosen & set apart for a reason!
Why risk what? Our salvation is guaranteed by grace through faith in Christ. We are divorced from the law of Moses and married to another, Christ. We cannot be married to both, else Christ becomes of no effect to us. The real risk is seeking to work for salvation that is given to us freely, which shows a lack of faith. Jesus is not referring to old testament commandments, but the ones He gave during His earthly ministry. Loving God and others as ourselves is what He commands us to do.
Good to see much response to this subject. Hard to find any understanding nowadays, mostly hurt feelings when 'meat' comes up. Keep it simple, Obey, love, be faithful to GOD. BEAR MUCH FRUIT( WORKS).
I would say what you are saying is contradicting. If Jesus fulfilled the sanctification through him and forgiveness of our sins. He only fulfilled part of the law. As you said earlier he did not abolish it. So we still follow the law. Not for salvation and not the sacrifices but all other aspects of it.
The law is STILL in effect! In fact we need to be keeping this law more now than we ever have in this generation! Christ removed the need for the laws around ceremonies and animal sacrifices but the commandments, laws and statues are still active today! Even the last chapter of the bible tells us to keep the commandments (Revelation 22:14)
He did even more than that. He wore tzitzit (Tassels), kept the Holy days, ate clean animals only, and literally every other command. And we are told that if we say that we believe in Him, we should walk as He walked. If you love me, keep my commands. Our obedience to His commands is not for gaining salvation. Instead, it’s the evidence of our salvation. If we are truly under His teachings and following His example, then we too should obey any command that applies to us.
@@RoseSharon7777 Read the Torah. Every command given taught either how to love the Father or how to love our neighbors. The Ten Words (a.k.a. commandments) were general commands that needed further explaining. There’s many ways someone could have other gods before Yah. @@kontact4231 ur question has a double negative. Are u asking if He did or He didn’t? And if that’s ur question, then the answer is Yes He did. He kept every command given by Yahweh through the prophet Moses. And taught others to do so. And the reason He gives is becuz they are lawless. The only law that Jesus ever spoke about was the Torah. All the commands given from the mouth of Yahweh to the prophet Moses. Jesus even goes further and says that if u don’t believe in the writings of Moses then u don’t believe in Him. Becuz Moses wrote about Him.

LOVE DOES NO HARM TO A NEIGHBOR: THEREFORE LOVE IS THE FULFILLMENT OF THE LAW. FOR HE WHO LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW. [Romans 13:8-10]. If you love God, and if you love your neighbor: you have fulfilled the law. This is why Jesus said, on these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets [Matthew 22:36-40]. And this is why Paul said, if you love your neighbor, you have fulfilled the law. For love is the fulfillment of the law [Romans 13:8-10]. [Galatians 5:14]. Israel did not keep the law of the old covenant from the old testament. So, Israel was under the curse of the law [Deuteronomy chapter 28]. So, God made a new covenant with Israel. And we, gentiles, which believe in Christ, are grafted into the new covenant with Israel. In the new covenant we cannot be justified by the law, because the law is not of faith [Galatians 3:11-12]. And without faith it is impossible to please God [Hebrew 11:6]. I don't tithe under the law, because the law is not of faith, and because I cannot be justified by the law. And because I don't want to be a debtor to keep the whole law of the old testament. The same applies to the circumcision, and to sin offerings. The law of the old testament will show you your sins..The law will condemned you.. The law will kill you. Because the law of God is: HOLY, AND SPIRITUAL [Romans chapter 7]. In the old testament, the adulterer, the idol worshipper, the murder, was stoned under the law of the ten commandments. In the new testament, they were going to stoned the woman caught in adultery under the law of the ten commandments. Jesus said, he who is without sin among you, cast the first stone at her [John 8:7]. Jesus was the only one there without sin, but he didn't cast the first stone at her, because Jesus did not come to condemned the world [John 3:17]. Under the law of the ten commandments, God gave the children of Israel: statutes, and ordinances, to perform under the ten commandments of God. In the new testament, the pharisees and scribes, made the ten commandments of God of none effect by their traditions [Mark 7:13]. If you are under the law of the ten commandments of God, you need to perform the duties of the law, that is, the statutes and ordinances of the ten commandments: the adulterer, the murder, and the idol worshipper, must be stoned, according to the statutes and ordinances of the law of the ten commandments of God. For it is written in the law; cursed is everyone that continues not in all things which are written in the book of the law to them [Galatians 3:10]. If you are under the works of the law of the old covenant, you are a debtor to do the whole law of God [Galatians 5:3]. Tithings, the circumcision, and animal sacrifices are under the works of the law. Hopefully this letter clears up any misunderstandings, or confusions, because God is not the author of confusion [1 Corinthians 14:33]. @@fernandogallardo3458 I don't need any help understanding the Word, but you do. No one has the authority to chasnge the Laws of God, who said, over 60 times that it is forever, etrnaal, for all generations, atcetra. God doesn't chaange, that is a basic Biblical principle. John said that sin is a vio9lation of the Torah, so if you don't keep the Law, you are in perpetual ssin. Do sinners go to heaven or to the pit:?
Note that "sin is lawlessness" according to 1 John 3v4 So "what shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?" Romans 6v1 No longer under the law, biblically, means no longer under the "punishments/curses" of the law. For the law brings blessings AND curses. Blessings if you obey, curses when you disobey. But we ALL fall short and broke the law and are cursed. *Glory to God the Father who sends Jesus to atone for our sins and take away our curses!* Thus, we are no longer under the punishment of the law. "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome." 1 John 5v3
The heaven and the Earth are still here. Therefore the law has not yet been fulfilled. There's still work to be done. It will be accomplished when Jesus comes back.
If anyone of you really want Truth you have to search for it, advice dont go to church, they have some of the truth, but half the truth is still a lie 💯📖 facts are that the Torah is part of the new covenant, look up Jeremiah 31:33 in the Hebrew, book of Hebrews quotes that very scripture, Messiah himself said heaven and earth would pass before anything perished from the Torah Mathew 5:17-20, Messiah kept the Torah perfectly and said follow Me i have laid before you the perfect example, sadly people want to take away from the Father's perfect Torah, dont fall for it, NO ONE has the authority to do so , not even the Son that's why he said I do nothing of myself, of course we don't keep the Torah to earn salvation, it is the Father's instructions and will for our lives, we can only be justified through the Blood of Messiah Yeshua , but do we continue in sin that grace may abound GOD FORBID Romans 6:1-2, do we make void the Torah through faith GOD FORBID we ESTABLISH the Torah Romans 3:31, the whole point of the Torah is to point out sin, if you get rid of it we no longer are aware of these sins the Torah points out, may YAH bless you all 🙏💯♥️☝️📖
I thought I understood but I’m still confused… if Jesus taught us to obey the law then why after his death (for sin) would we no longer be required to keep the mosaic law?
We definitely should obey the commands as given through the prophet Moses. He literally said in Matthew 5:17 - “Think not that I came to abolish the law or prophets. I come not to abolish but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” Those are pretty strong words. He didn’t come to abolish but to fulfill. Let’s stop there for jus a moment. Many Christians understand the word “abolish” jus fine here. But they twist the definition of the word “fulfill”. They say that the word “fulfill” means to “complete or bring to an end.” But this isn’t technically true. Although the word “complete” is one of the definitions for “fulfill” its in the context of the main two definitions as given in the Strongs concordance. The word “fulfill” in Matthew 5:17 is the Greek word “pleroo”. It’s main definition, which is the one used in this verse, is “to fill to the full” or “fully fill”. The second most common usage is defined as “to make abound”. So we have to ask the question, “How did Christ make the law filled up to the full?” Becuz He said “I came not to abolish but to pleroo (fill up fully) the law.” The answer becomes obvious when u think about what made Christ so special. And of course Him dying and rising is certainly quite special, however those things wouldn’t have been possible if He had broken Gods commands. The only reason Christ was able to defeat death was becuz He was without sin for His whole life. He was perfect. So think about this…. He kept every command perfectly but no one else around Him did. They all broke the commands. So when u looked at Christ u were literally seeing the law of God in its fullness in His character. U can’t see the law fully filled by anyone else. We’ve all sinned. But not Him. He came to show us what the law looks like in its FULLNESS. And then He taught everyone to live like Him! John even says in 1 John 2:6 “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.” So if we believe in Christ then we should live as He lived.. which was obedience to Gods commands. Peter in Acts 10 is still eating only clean animals even ten years after the death of Christ. And he didn’t start eating unclean animals after his visions either cuz he was shown what the visions were really about. People try to say that if we have a desire to obey Gods commands then we are trying to earn our own salvation. But that is the furthest thing from the truth. I’m someone who both believes in Christ and obeys the commands of God. But I know that my obedience won’t save me becuz I’ve already sinned. Only Christ can give me eternal life. But does that mean I’m allowed to sin now? Of course not! Paul makes these comments many times. Like when he says "Do we make void the law through faith? God forbid. Yea, we uphold the law." Please consider the definition of Sin. John gives the definition of sin in 1 John 3:4 “anyone who sins breaks the law. In fact sin is lawlessness.” Ask basic questions. How do I accept the forgiveness of Christ? The answer: repent. What does repent mean? It literally means to turn away. What am I turning away from? U are turning away from sin. What is sin? Breaking the law of God. How do I love God? John 14:15 - “If you love me, keep my commands”… 1 John 5:3- “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commands. And His commandments are not burdensome.” And remember that in Matthew 5 Christ said that “not one jot or tiddle (smallest pen marks) shall be erased from the law until heaven and earth pass away.” And so I have to ask, have Heaven and earth passed away yet? The reason that’s interesting is becuz in the Torah (law) God actually tells the people Israel that Heaven and Earth are the two witnesses that Gods law still holds true. (On the witness of two or three a matter is established) so Christ said “not one jot or tiddle shall be erased from the law until Heaven and earth (the two witnesses) pass away.” Deuteronomy 30:15-19 “See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; 16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. 17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; 18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”
Jesus satisfied (fulfilled) the righteous demands of the Law we can not live up to. He did not came to abolish the Law but perfectly keep the entirety of the laws of Moses to set free those who were under the condemnation of the Law. Sin is transgression of Law(1jhn 3:4). We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (the Righteous Judge), hence we all deserve His righteous wrath. But thank God, when we were still sinners Christ (the perfect and sinless Lamb of God) die on the CROSS instead of us taking upon himself the punishment and damnation we (WRETCHED) sinners deserve. Christ nailed all our sins (LAWLESSNESS) on the CROSS and clothed us with his righteousness so that when we stand in front of God, when He sees us He sees the righteousness of His Son Jesus Christ, And when He sees the CROSS He sees our Sins nailed on the CROSS through Christ's finished work on the CROSS. Hebrews 10:9-10 ESV [9] then he added, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does AWAY with the FIRST in order to establish the SECOND. (James 2:21-24 ESV) Was not Abraham our father JUSTIFIED BY WORKS when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? You see that FAITH was active ALONG with his works, and faith was COMPLETED BY HIS WORKS; and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”-and he was called a friend of God. The penalty for breaking the law is death. That is the law that was against us. Yahushua fulfilled the law required to make redemption possible. The Holy Spirit didn't come until fifty days later which is also the fourth of the seven annual feasts that Yahweh commands us to keep. They are Yahweh's feasts, not Jews. And they are about His plan of salvation for mankind.

@@ALAINDEGRANDPRE I agree. I'm not sure that it's during the millennial reign but I'm not saying that it isn't. People who were beheaded prior to His second coming will be priests. What are their duties as priests? This prophecy is definitely true after judgment day and for those of us living on the new earth for eternity.
That is easy to explain. Yes Jesus said “ I did not come to do away with the law but to fullfill it. Now the problem most Christians have is to understand what He was saying. First off is to know what law He was talking about. The Old Testament talks about different laws. 1) ceremonial laws 2) civil laws 3) laws of nature 4) moral laws. Yes the ceremonial laws pointed to the coming lamb of God The civil law was to keep order in the camp The moral laws was stay in line with our God. ( 10 Commandments ) It is unfortunate that many Cristian’s have trouble understanding this. This is where many Christians are tripping over on this topic.
The long list of laws was to show us how imperfect we are, we needed a law to tell us everything. But after Jesus fulfilled it he shortened the list. He shortened it to the ten commandments because that will cover a multitude of things 💙

A good topic of discussion would be "what does it mean to "fulfil the Law". I think Jesus did this when He was debating the religious leaders and said "you have heard it said, love your neighbour, hate your enemy; BUT I SAY". He directly came against the religious law of the day that contradicted Moses. Later on the religious leaders threw it back in His face when they brought the woman caught in adultery. " The law of Moses says she should be stoned; BUT WHAT DO YOU SAY?" Fortunately, Jesus knew what they were trying to do, and His response is the cornerstone of our faith today; "he who is without sin; cast the first stone".
Actually you missed part of the point about the adulteress woman. Leviticus stated that both parties, man and woman caught in the act had to be brought. The Pharisees only brought the woman and not the man, so they did not even follow the law themselves. But the main message is 'Let God be our Judge' and not men..

In order to be justified by good works you would have to be sinless. (James 2:10) We can’t be sinless so therefore we can’t be justified by our good works (Romans 3:20, Galatians 2:16, 3:11) Grace (free gift) and works cancel out each other so you have to choose one or the other. Jesus is the sacrified lambs for our sins! During the last supper of the Passover meal, Jesus reminded us to always eat the bread and drink the wine...the bread as his flesh and wine as his cup of blood of sacrifice.
I hope you aren't talking about cannabilism. That's something pagan that the Roman church still holds on to and still teaches. Transsubstansiation. It's a lie. Think of the Jewish tradition of the sacrifice. The Apostles had gathered in the Upper Room to commemorate this. Jesus took the bread and declared, "this is now MY body" and the cup, 'this is now MY blood". Not "this is my BODY; this is my BLOOD." He said "remember Me when you eat and drink". He chose food and drink; something we do every day to remind us of His sacrifice. There is nothing magical in the bread or the wine. That belief is a superstition that will keep you in your sins and remaining under condemnation.

@@majorcajun5524 : We know one is telling the truth, thus to heed and listen to them, when they preach/teach holiness, which only comes by walking after and keeping His Law, the Ten Commandments (TC), which is what the written word of God teaches (2 Tim. 3:16). This we can only do (interpret scripture, keep the TC) by the Holy Spirit, Whom one receives when we confess and repent of our sins, with godly sorrow, upon hearing and believing in Jesus' testimony (life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascensions) Who is the express image of the Father; the Personification of the Law. Jesus Christ (Son of God) was given to bring us into relationship with the Father by keeping His Law. Thus to believe in Jesus Christ is to believe in His Person, which many have rejected (and still do) because of Who He is, which is due to the sin nature, thus is why we need to be born again. If what I said above doesn't resonate in your spirit (inner man) to be the truth then you will be open to believe anything. What I've said is the truth, which is not open for interpretation.
I am very much struggeling with this... I feel the same about Paul, I see him working against Jesus and can't wrap my head around it. I pray God will make everything crystalclear! But..are we then, failers in following the law completely, to follow every 600 rules? Or is it just the commands of Mozes?
@@marijketimmermans3913 You need to obey as many of the items in the Law, as you can, under your circumstances.. The Sabbaths and the Feasts are very important along with the dietary Laws. " why do you break the law for the sake of your tradition? For God said " honor your father , and your mother anyone that currses their father or mother are to be put to death" but you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is devoted to God, they are not to honor their father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition". Mathews 15:3 to 6
He showed us how easy it is in two statements. "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.". If you uphold these two the 10 commandments are easy to fulfil. I think people at that time were doing performative obedience to the law without feeling it in their hearts.
If you love Yahweh with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, you will obey Him. It's easy for people who live it to keep those two commandments but many people believe that the law has been changed so they fall short of keeping those two commandments.
That passage is not anything new, those two sayings are both in Deuteronomy. That reply was given to Pharisees trying to bring about a debate on which of the commandments was of greater importance. That wise answer put an end to any debate. Do not read more into it than that.
Let us just accept Jesus' own explanation As it is written; "Now He said to them, “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things." Luke 24:44-48
So sad people are taught twisted Paul Peter warned about twisting Paul “And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.” 2 Peter 3:15-17 KJV Literally you started reading the words of Christ and ended teaching a twisted Paul that goes against your warning from Jesus that you opened with If I had to give authority to someone should it be Jesus? Or should it be Paul? (Of course they both teach the same one truth if you aren’t twisting Paul When I receive a letter I read the whole letter not just one sentence or paragraph at a time and save some for next month Please be more cautious try not to take Paul out of context… ❤
Looking through these comments, the saddest thing to me about them are is that some people think that without law, there is no guidance on how Christians are to behave. Paul, through the Holy Spirit says stuff like "Among you there must not even be a hint of sexual immorality or any kind of impurity for these are improper for God's holy people" Eph 5:3 "Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need." Eph 4:28 Verses with instruction on how the Church is supposed to live are all throughout his letters, but it's like to some people it doesn't even seem to count as instruction.
It means that those who were under the law and rejected Christ would remain under the law until all of it was accomplished, including the judgements that were promised for the covenant breakers. The passing of the heavens and earth was the passing of the old covenant. Hebrews 8:13 says: "In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old *is ready to vanish away."* Hebrews tells us that the law was ready to pass away at the time Hebrews was written, which was after the cross. If the heavens and the earth have not passed then all of the law (OC) remains valid today.
He totally ignores how the passage says the laws wont change until heaven and earth pass away and earth is still here and I bet they would say heaven is too
@@Dave_Langerya. Heaven and earth passing away happens before the new earth is created for the redeemed to inhabit, which is after judgment day, which is after Yahushua's millennial reign. People can't see that because they are trained not to see it.
The big problem is that the Bible was not written in english to start with. All english Bibles , and there is more than 900 of them, are translations and versions. The meaning of the word that has been rendered as fulfill does not mean that it is a completed item that can now be crossed off the list, as being completed and can now be forgotten That is not the message intended by the author of the Book. The word in the original text implies an idea of 'demonstration' and not 'abolishment'. That means our Saviour left us an example for us to follow and did not eleminate the ONLY possible way to establish a personal relationship with Him. This is still the same choice mankind has had to make since Eden: [GOD's Way] or [Our way]. Keep in mind that if there is one constantly present message in the Bible : THE ONLY WAY THAT WORKS IS HIS WAY!
Grace is ONLY for His children. That is those who realize they need to be grafted unto Israel, His only people. To do so, you need to be called by Him and obey His Law, not because that is what will save you, but because He says you should. If you pretend to be freed from obedience to the Law, YOU ARE NOT His child, but a child of satan, the devil and you are doomed. No grace for you! Grace people is an invention of man and has no value in God's eye. IT IS NOT GOD"S WAY.
To be honest, I feel this gets confusing especially when both sides of the argument (in the comments) makes sense. Here is some versus from acts 15. Read the whole chapter for context. Acts 15:5 But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to order them to keep the law of Moses.” Peter's response; 10 Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? 11 But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.” James response regarding gentiles;20 but should write to them to abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood
So there's 613 laws, are we supposed to be following all of them or just the ones that everyone argues over such as: tithing, dietary laws, keeping the Sabbath ect?
Fulfill = properly interpret. Not completion...there is nothing to complete. Good thru all generations and not only Jews, who were to be the teachers to the world. They have not been replaced by church neither by spirit nor by flesh.
To fulfill means he "caused to come to pass" what was foretold by the Torah and the Prophets! In relation to the 10 Commandment Law, it is written of Messiah in Isaiah 42:21 how Messiah would EXPAND LAW AND MAKE IT MORE HONOURABLE! Matthew Chapter 7, the entire chapter tells us how Messiah not only expanded the meaning of the 10 commandments but also expanded on the Laws, Statutes and Judgements! By the 10 Commandments is the knowledge of Sin (Romans 7:7). Messiah to atone for transgressions to the 10 Commandments (1 John 3:4). If we continue in sin, we crucify Messiah again! There is no sin where there is no Law! Legally speaking, the Creator of the Universe does not Judge in an arbitrary sense. By His Holy Law, He will Judge the Heavens and the Earth!

There are multiple points in which Yeshua can be seen speaking against lawlessness. Why then would he eliminate the law? That would be fruitless and we all know he loves fruit.

Thank you for being one of the few Christians on YT - who know the Gospel. The LAW = Bondage = Old wine -= Jews = Death GRACE = Freedom = Righteousness = The Christian Gospel. If you MIX the two? You no longer have any GRACE God demands FAITH in Grace. Christ fulfilled the LAW for us.
If you truly believe that you have absolutely no knowledge of God whatsoever. If there is one truth about God it is that He does not change. So if you think that you found passages in the NT that go in complete contradiction with what is taught in the OT then you have fallen into the devil's trap. There is no such thing as choosing between the Law and Grace. Grace is only granted to those striving to keep and obey the Law and is not accessible to anybody else. It is not anything new it has been that way since the beginning. It has been mentioned in the Torah. And there has always been only one chosen people all through Scriptures and it is Israel. That is still the case, it has not changed. The only thing that has been added by Yeshua after His resurrection is that we as Gentiles can now be grafted to Israel if we choose to do things His way and not the way WE think is right.

If there is one thing that is clear in GOD's Word it is that the Law always was, still is, and always will be. It is perfect. God gave it to His people as a beacon and a standard and said clearly that if any one claims to be free from it he automatically says he is not one of God's chosen. There is no shortcut to real obedience, as a sign of gratitude for all He grants us. Be thankful He allowed you to breathe today. Glorify God don't shortchange Him.
But some of the law in the old covenant has been abolished like the tithes: Hebrew 7:12/Acts 13:39 The alternative law for the tithes is this: 2 Corinthians 9:7
fulfil, pleroo, means to fully preach or to make full. If your definition of fulfil means to make void or obsolete then you are butchering the verse and going against the first part of what the messiah is saying. The first half of this video is fine and but the second half takes a whole bunch of verses out of context to prove that this verse doesn't actually mean what's clearly stated.
HAS THE MAJORITY EVER BEEN WRONG? Consider: Matt. 22: On these two commands depend all The Written Law and The Prophets.” James 2:18 - Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. Did you see that? James said that he will show his faith by his works! Some people will make the following statement, "Since we are not under the law, we therefore are not required to keep it." But what does Yeshua the Messiah have to say concerning this doctrine of "lawlessness"? Matthew 7:22 - Many will say to me in that day, "My master, my master, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?" 23 And then will I profess unto them, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." The word iniquity literally means "lawlessness"! Yeshua literally said, "Depart from me, you law breakers"! Isaiah 24:5 - The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. The term everlasting means "never ending" or "eternal". Do the commandments spoken in the word of YHWH still exist; and are we still expected to obey them? Or are YHWH's commandments obsolete, fulfilled and done away with, by the death of His son? Millions would answer "Yes, we are no longer under the law. It has been done away with and we are therefore no longer expected to keep it." This is a major doctrine of many Christian churches. But what does the Word of YHWH say?... Psalm 111:7 - The works of his hands are truth and judgment; all his commandments are sure. 8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. It says for ever and ever! Let's go to Paul again... Romans 6:14 - For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under favor. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under favor? By no means! Paul said that because we are not under the law, that in no way gives us the right to sin! Actually, the thing that Paul was saying is that we are no longer under the 'curse of the law' (death) but rather, we are under favor (forgiveness), commonly called "grace". The following is the greatest command... Deuteronomy 6:5 - And thou shalt love YHWH thy Elohim with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. This command was repeated by Yeshua in Mat 22:36-38. But, what does this command mean, how do we do it? We will again turn to the Word of YHWH for insight... Deuteronomy 11:13 - And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love YHWH your Elohim, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 11:22 - For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love YHWH your Elohim, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him. Joshua 22:5 - But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of YHWH charged you, to love YHWH your Elohim, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. According to the preceding verses, what we need to do in order to love YHWH our Elohim with all our heart and all our soul and all our might is to "keep His commandments". We need to strive to "not sin", but if we do sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Yeshua the Messiah (see 1John chapter 4). We should each have the goal to be over comers. Not only is it possible, but it is our duty! Shalom. YESHUA is the Living Torah, we should walk as our Master walks. By the way, who's sabbaths do you keep?
Yes. If you want to follow the law and trust in your own works to get to Heaven, you go right ahead. It won't work. These people in the comments section reject the New Covenant. They deny the finished work of Christ. Jesus fulfilled all of the law.
Perfect demonstration of an incomplete understanding of things written apparently too complicated for him to grasp. Most certainly not qualified to be teaching anyone. Anything translated solely from the greek leads to incorrect conclusions and sadly misleads the masses. It is totally impossible for the greek language to properly express the full extent of the idea being put forward by the Hebrew authors. It simply is too shallow. The Hebrew meaning of the word translated as 'fulfilled' implies an idea of demonstration. This means Yeshua, showed us how it could be done leaving us an example of the perfect obedience to all of them. He did not do anything that frees us from obeying them. That part is incorrect and misleading.
He didn’t contradict Himself. He fulfilled the symbolic nature of the Old Law. The dietary restrictions symbolized the gentiles and for people to not be partakers of the gentile culture. Now with Christ’s Earthly mission fulfilled, we can now eat pork and shrimp since the gospel is now available for the gentiles and for them to join God’s people. Bless be God who removed the restrictions of the old laws through His son.
It is now even higher because the thought of doing a sin is now a sin. We are saved by grace but if we love God we will obey him Following sin farther and farther from God is what the demons did. In the end they did not trust or believe in God. If you dont beliece in God any more guess what you are not saved
If you change the meanings of enough words, you can make the Bible appear to say anything you want. Romans 10:4 Messiah is the objective of the law. It is the goal of the Law. If the law leads us to Messiah, why would we NOT observe it? Colossians 2:14 It was dogma that was nailed to the cross, not Torah. The entire chapter is about overcoming the intimidation of pagans. How could the Law be against us if it is the schoolmaster which leads us to Messiah? When you graduate from school, do you abandon all that you learned in favor of what you believed before you went to school? That makes no sense at all. We are no longer under a schoolmaster because we have Jesus as our living example of how to walk as the Law intended. We were not "held captive" under the Law. We were garrisoned. We were protected. We were kept away from the pagan practices for which YHVH punished Israel. It still does that today. When children are protected by their parents, do you characterize it as "held captive?" A Saturn worshiper observes Saturnalia. Changing the name of that day to Christmas did not diminish Saturn. It only reduces Jesus to his level. It is the definition of the "pollution of idols." The Bible says Jesus is the Passover Lamb, not the Easter ham. The Torah is how The Father wants to be worshiped. Jesus' arrival did not change that. The Torah is for ALL people for ALL time. Exodus 12:48-49, Exodus 20:10, and dozens more. Paul told Timothy that the Scriptures he had from his youth were for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness. The only Scriptures he had from his youth were the Torah and the Prophets.
All laws are intact, nothing have been changed. It's still about the Sabbath, about Marriage and Adultery. It's about what can defiles a man. Etc. Jesus said, the reason I was born and came to this world is to testify to the truth (John 18 :37).
@@evolve5418 It depends. Because there are some Christians who practiced, there are also some who do not practice sacrificing animals. For me, I do not. But I'm not objecting people who do sacrificing animals. Just like what Jesus said about the Sabbath Law in the New Testament. (Read John 5:9-18).
@@badonlikoy5571 thank you for answering, but wouldn’t that be you just choosing which laws you want to follow since you said all laws are in tact? There’s over 600 laws to follow.
Gal 4:21 Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? Gal 4:22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. Gal 4:23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Gal 4:24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. Gal 4:25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. Gal 4:26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. Gal 4:27 For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband. Gal 4:28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise. THE PROMISE IS THE 10 COMMANDMENTS, OTHERWISE YOU ARE UNDER SACRIFICIAL LAW WHICH WAS ADDED BECAUSE OF TRANSGRESSION TO THE HOLY COVENANT. How blind and deaf is this channel?
@עִמָּנוּאֵל Since we were only referring to Exodus 21-23, which speaks of the death penalty for certain sins, I was only addressing the times in history where the judges of Israel have deemed the death penalty necessary for an individual. This is what is spoken of in Exodus 21-23. I was not addressing the death of whole groups of people.
All man is under the law. But all of us are born a sinner and unable to keep the law. The law states that anyone who did not keep the law shall die. Therefore according to the law, all of us are destined to perish and end up in hell for the law to be fulfilled. But Jesus took our sins and died on our behalf on the cross. Hence, Jesus has fulfilled the law on our behalf by paying the full price on our behalf and since the law has been fulfilled, we are no longer under the law. It is the same as having to pay for a housing mortgage and once we or someone else helped us paid what we owe in full, we are no longer under the housing mortgage (Law).
He fulfilled the law by obeying it without sin and then dying a death He did not deserve. The law was God's contribution to man's best effort to be like Him. Nobody can fulfill the law and even if we could obey it, we would still go to Hell because there is no law that would give us life, result in God loving us, lead to us knowing God, or justify us in God's eyes. The purpose of the law is to show the lost their need for God's grace and mercy by revealing their sinfulness and spiritual death (1 Timothy 1:8-11). We live by grace.
Grace is only for those who keep the Law. It is not one or the other. The point is that obeying the Law is not possible without God's help and that is why we need His grace. But thinking we do not need to obey does not come from the NT, it comes from hellenism.

The ceremonial/sacrificial system and the civil system is obviously fulfilled because Jesus became the sacrifice. The reason they also lump in the 10 commandments into that is because they hate the Sabbath and Idol law. No one thing killing has been nailed to the cross of adulatory is nailed to the cross or do not take y name in vain was nailed to the cross.
And those works are obedience to the Torah 💯❤️📖⚔️
James = to Jews
Romans = to Christian born again believers.
James 2:24 "You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone."
Romans 4:5 "And to the one who does not work but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness". There is no contradictions, Paul isn't a false apostle, you are just bad at rightly dividing the word of truth.
@@K1NG_D0ME You are perfectly right my brother. Every human being essentially has two choices: to please God by obeying His instructions and guidelines, or to please himself or herself by looking for excuses to do things according to what looks right to him or her, without God's help. If God's Spirit is guiding you you will not disregard His instructions. God is, was, and always will be the same. There is no difference between the God of the OT and of the NT, they are one and the same. If some passage appears to someone as being contrary to the rest of the message contained in the Bible, the reason always is the understanding of that passage is flawed and incorrect to that person. @mikkiedutoit u err not knowing the scriptures, the only law that is removed through christ is the law of sacrifices for sin, christ is now our atonement.

I believe that loving your neighbour and keeping the 10 commandments and believing in the teachings of Jesus is more important than not eating pork
Sure is, but that doesn't make the later unimportant as well
Try make am example how to live in a healthy humble lifestyle... That way we do not worry about what we eat, we simply think that we eat to gain energy to serve God
Jesus didn't eat pork! Aren't you supposed to follow his example?
Revelation says those who overcome are those with the testimony(faith) and the commandments(works), if you don't believe that then you are in danger of hearing "depart from me worker of lawlessness."
So true but they reject the complete work on the cross and find themselves in a terrible position Heb 10:29 Gal 5:1-4

I'm baffled at people thinking Jesus would abolish a law he created 🤦♂️
The devil is hard at work and more cunning than any human being, unless they cling to God. That's why this thinking is spread around.
This verse is part of Paul's warning against mixing the Gospel and the law to achieve justification
That means don’t pick and choose which laws you will follow because you sure as shit can’t follow all of them and you NEED to believe in Jesus for salvation anywho.

Explain that.
It says “if you love me keep my commandments” it doesn’t say if you keep my commandments then you love me and are saved. If we are really saved and love Christ then we will naturally want and seek to obey His commandments but the context here isn’t saying that obedience to the commandments is what gains salvation
@@christopherclay14 sorry, are you trying to disagree with me? Because I totally agree with you. And it was most exciting when we figured out what the fourth commandment meant and how we now get a full day of rest on the day that God intended.
@@christopherclay14 I’m confused if I’ve done Romans 10:9 but don’t obey Jesus’s commandments absolutely perfectly them was I ever saved?? I don’t want to sin I despise it but I do know I sin although much much much less by the grace of god than I used to
Sure, these are, according to Jesus " Love God and love your neighbor " then in John 13:34 he told His disciples that a new commandment I give you, that you love one another.
Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them (us), he saith, Behold, the days come (Future event), saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah (Saying Israel and Judah includes all believers):
Heb 8:9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant (Just as we don’t perfectly keep His law), and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.
Letting the word define the word? Very well done brother! Do not rely on our own understanding but let the word define what it says!
That is quite a lot to grasp. But thank you.

Christ did not remove any part of the Law. The Law is perfect and is in no need of correction.
He lived the 10 commandments perfectly. Just like we all must. The 10 commandments will never be abolished.

God doesn't chaange, that is a basic Biblical principle.
John said that sin is a vio9lation of the Torah, so if you don't keep the Law, you are in perpetual ssin.
Do sinners go to heaven or to the pit:?
Note that "sin is lawlessness" according to 1 John 3v4
So "what shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound?" Romans 6v1
No longer under the law, biblically, means no longer under the "punishments/curses" of the law. For the law brings blessings AND curses. Blessings if you obey, curses when you disobey. But we ALL fall short and broke the law and are cursed. *Glory to God the Father who sends Jesus to atone for our sins and take away our curses!* Thus, we are no longer under the punishment of the law. @@rowanwinston1997 We all will be judged when He returns and not when we die.
What about this… ?
“You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.” (James 2:24 ESV)
Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”
Those are pretty strong words.
God forbid. Yea, we uphold the law."
Please consider the definition of Sin. And His commandments are not burdensome.”
And remember that in Matthew 5 Christ said that “not one jot or tiddle (smallest pen marks) shall be erased from the law until heaven and earth pass away.” And so I have to ask, have Heaven and earth passed away yet? The reason that’s interesting is becuz in the Torah (law) God actually tells the people Israel that Heaven and Earth are the two witnesses that Gods law still holds true. (On the witness of two or three a matter is established) so Christ said “not one jot or tiddle shall be erased from the law until Heaven and earth (the two witnesses) pass away.”
Deuteronomy 30:15-19 “See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
16 In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”

That is easy to explain. Yes Jesus said “ I did not come to do away with the law but to fullfill it. Now the problem most Christians have is to understand what He was saying. First off is to know what law He was talking about. The Old Testament talks about different laws.

2) civil laws
3) laws of nature
4) moral laws.

If anyone believes this man from Got Questions Ministries about the law they are being deceived. Remember, Jesus and the Apostles said, in so many words: "Let no man deceive you" (Matt. 24:4-5, 2 Thess. 2:3, 1 John. 2:26).
You left no rebuke or rebuttal and are not qualified to preach the truth because you do not define your words in Old Testament Hebrew and New Testament Greek!

Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition". Mathews 15:3 to 6
Yes, ok. I hear him and he is correct and right in his's explanation of matthew 5:17:
No he is wrong
Let us just accept Jesus' own explanation
As it is written;
"Now He said to them, “These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”
Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, and He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ would suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things."
Luke 24:44-48
So sad people are taught twisted Paul
Peter warned about twisting Paul
“And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.”
2 Peter 3:15-17 KJV
Literally you started reading the words of Christ and ended teaching a twisted Paul that goes against your warning from Jesus that you opened with

(Of course they both teach the same one truth if you aren’t twisting Paul
When I receive a letter I read the whole letter not just one sentence or paragraph at a time and save some for next month
Please be more cautious try not to take Paul out of context… ❤
Looking through these comments, the saddest thing to me about them are is that some people think that without law, there is no guidance on how Christians are to behave. Paul, through the Holy Spirit says stuff like
"Among you there must not even be a hint of sexual immorality or any kind of impurity for these are improper for God's holy people" Eph 5:3
"Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need." Eph 4:28
Verses with instruction on how the Church is supposed to live are all throughout his letters, but it's like to some people it doesn't even seem to count as instruction.
Without Torah people always end up in idolatry and paganism. That's undeniable reality.
It means that those who were under the law and rejected Christ would remain under the law until all of it was accomplished, including the judgements that were promised for the covenant breakers. The passing of the heavens and earth was the passing of the old covenant.
Hebrews 8:13 says:
"In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old *is ready to vanish away."*
Hebrews tells us that the law was ready to pass away at the time Hebrews was written, which was after the cross.
If the heavens and the earth have not passed then all of the law (OC) remains valid today.
Help me lord
Yeshua says follow me he was keeping the law
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Jesus did not come to abolish the law but fulfill it which means abolish it. Great stuff. What about Matthew 5:18?

@@Dave_Langerya. Heaven and earth passing away happens before the new earth is created for the redeemed to inhabit, which is after judgment day, which is after Yahushua's millennial reign.

The big problem is that the Bible was not written in english to start with. All english Bibles , and there is more than 900 of them, are translations and versions. The meaning of the word that has been rendered as fulfill does not mean that it is a completed item that can now be crossed off the list, as being completed and can now be forgotten
That is not the message intended by the author of the Book.
JUSTIFIED FREELY! by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Grace is the gospel.
It's a FREE GIFT.
Acts 15:5 But some believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees rose up and said, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to order them to keep the law of Moses.”
Peter's response; 10 Now, therefore, why are you putting God to the test by placing a yoke on the neck of the disciples that neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? 11 But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.”
James response regarding gentiles;20 but should write to them to abstain from the things polluted by idols, and from sexual immorality, and from what has been strangled, and from blood

GRACE = Freedom = Righteousness = The Christian Gospel.
If you MIX the two? You no longer have any GRACE
God demands FAITH in Grace.

The first half of this video is fine and but the second half takes a whole bunch of verses out of context to prove that this verse doesn't actually mean what's clearly stated.
HAS THE MAJORITY EVER BEEN WRONG? Consider:
Matt. 22: On these two commands depend all The Written Law and The Prophets.”
James 2:18 - Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
Did you see that? James said that he will show his faith by his works! Some people will make the following statement, "Since we are not under the law, we therefore are not required to keep it." But what does Yeshua the Messiah have to say concerning this doctrine of "lawlessness"?
Matthew 7:22 - Many will say to me in that day, "My master, my master, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?" 23 And then will I profess unto them, "I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
The word iniquity literally means "lawlessness"!
This comments section is filled with works based salvation heretics.

Yes. If you want to follow the law and trust in your own works to get to Heaven, you go right ahead. It won't work. These people in the comments section reject the New Covenant. They deny the finished work of Christ. Jesus fulfilled all of the law.
Great job in teaching this, Sir.
If fulfilled why do God punish us if we (break) commit a sin ?
Jesus then apparently contradicts himself when he declares all foods clean clearly abolishing OT law
When children are protected by their parents, do you characterize it as "held captive?"
A Saturn worshiper observes Saturnalia. Changing the name of that day to Christmas did not diminish Saturn. It only reduces Jesus to his level. It is the definition of the "pollution of idols."
The Bible says Jesus is the Passover Lamb, not the Easter ham.

@עִמָּנוּאֵל And to answer your question, yes, I have read the entire Bible many times.
@עִמָּנוּאֵל And including the Talmud.
Two words. New covenant.
Jesus raised the standard of the law
Grace is only for those who keep the Law. It is not one or the other. The point is that obeying the Law is not possible without God's help and that is why we need His grace. But thinking we do not need to obey does not come from the NT, it comes from hellenism.
