So many "experts" just look at performance and forget all other components that make a car great, and they condescendingly bash Corollas and cars like it due to over comparing it with Civics, etc. Keep up the great work.
The Corolla is a great car. It looks small but very roomy inside. I own a 2016 Corolla S and have zero problems. I'm looking forward for the 2020 Corolla. It will be redesigned and rumor has it that it might have Toyotas new 2.0 engine. In the spy shots it has a dual exhaust. Toyota is up to something.
The transmission is a cvt. There is not shifting. It just imitates shifting that's why it seems faster lol. CVt is just one 1 speed that varies its ratios. My civic does the same thing. It's actually faster 0-60 to put the car in low compared to sport because in low it doesn't do those fake shifts
The road noise is completely out of hand. If you buy one, get it dampened, otherwise you will lose your hearing over time. I already had to set up an appointment with my hearing doctor.
I have the se 2018 and I only hate a couple things and that's how the speedometer is all the way to the right and its labeled in increments of 20s. You can't make the digital screen to display the miles per hour either. But I still love it.
Is Navigation available or is it only Smart Phone integrated Navigation? You would think a 50th Anniversary it would be standard but wondering if it is an option.

I saw that but if you drill down into the options for that car and the higher end versions of the Corolla the higher end Corollas offer full Navigation and the 50th Anniversary only offers the NAV app. :)
Owned a corolla and it was reliable for what it is.... But damn was it boring to drive and has no power what so ever!!!! Traded it in for a juke nismo and never looked back lol!
I actually was a crazy big VW fan, then 1993 came along and I was less of one.. then the MK4 even worse, then the 5 a nice step up for sure... but the latest one? NO> The quality has gone down. They just even more Generic. I miss VWs when they had some character. That being said, I drove the Corolla LE and a new Jetta as Rentals and the Jetta was poorly equipped, not very engaging, cheap plastic. The Corolla was nicer car.

The se doesnt come with a manual standard it also has the paddle shifters and it also has the sport mode

In the back it would have been nice if they could have had a vent instead of those cup holders. Who really ever has 3 bottles/cans?

I just bought one last week. It doesn't have integrated Nav...you have to use the smart phone app and it sucks.
