It's so funny when I see videos of Sara complaining about her hair, and how she's self-conscious about it, when I would KILL for her hair, I think it's so cute, it's so fun, it looks like it would be super fun to try and style (I mean yes, difficult for sure, but look how much she rocked these hairstyles with as little experience she has with styling hair!) It's literally like, hair goals for me.

Oh guys, I do have curly hair lol. And don't get me wrong, I love my curls, but I just wish they were tighter! I run that fine line between curls and waves, depending on the humidity and how I treat my hair/what products I use. Also the length of my hair, cause when it's too long it gets weighed down and then my curls flatten out. I just love how tight and springy Sara's curls are.

I mean I think the takeaway from all of this is just that no matter what your hair type, you're always gonna want something different. Maybe not 100% of the time, but sure, there's days where I wish my hair was thin and straight and not so heavy during the summer months so I can look cool and breezy. And there's days where I want big voluminous springy tight curls that I could pile on top of my head and look real chic and fashionable. And then of course there are days where my hair is perfect just the way it is!
Pretty sure this is why a lot of women wear wigs these days lol. Because even if you love your own hair, it can get totally boring.

When I had hair it was as curly as that and I got frustrated and just kept it in a ponytail all the time. Then when I got alopecia in the front of my head, i gave up and shaved my head. But I sometimes miss it. Anyway, Sara is too cute and I'm not sure that is legal.

Suddenly developing curly hair (it was a puberty thing) is the reason I wore a ponytail literally every. single. day. of tenth grade. On the LAST DAY my friend convinced me to wear it down and blow dry with a diffuser and I was like "ohhhhhhh". 💡

happened to me too! i had mostly straight/very loose wavy hair and once i hit puberty in the sixth grade it got so curly and unruly! unfortunately i immediately turned to hair straightening and completely ruined my curl pattern )-: im on my curly hair journey rn tho as i just did a big chop and am learning more and more each day

Aww, I loved this video! Quick tip, though, from one curly girl to another--get your hair wet before you do the styling. Even just damp, it helps braids stay smoother and parting is WAY easier if your hair is a little wet before you try to style. I cannot style my hair dry lol. Good job!

Having curly hair you should use the sport hair ties. They don't have elastic like your used to so they never break EVER! They are soft and nice. I've been using them and they don't damage my hair. They are goodie athletquie sweat stretch. I've been using these for ever and I only replace them because they get too loose.

Anyone else w curly hair, i do that "shower, put product in, wrap hair in tshirt and sleep" works actual wonders for me. I think its called hair plopping. Its super handy since i dont have time to shower before work.
Alrighty I tried the triple bun hair do and it actually turned out a lot better than I expected. It pulls on your hair A LOT but it would be cute if you suddenly had to go somewhere fancy

Man I literally never style my hair. I wake up, brush it out with a detangling brush, then I spray it down with cold water and comb it with a wide toothed comb and that's it.

You might want to find some stronger bobby pins and make sure you’re putting them in right: the bumpy side should be against your scalp. Also, for a stronger hold, you should criss cross your bobby pins over each other.

I think you did a great job, but you're picking styles for longer hair. I would have tried hair band styles and use those claw clips--they come in all sizes and are way nicer than elastics. I think you did a great job! One of my best friends has hair exactly like yours and same cut. It's not easy to style when it's that length. :)

I currently still have pretty good long somewhat healthy hair that has grown under these conditions for the past few years.
I flat ironed my hair ONCE in four years and the ends are still stretched, I'm probably going to have to cut it I'm so sad bc I really liked to have it straight but I'm not going to be able to do it again without ruining my hair :( how do you keep it healthy using flat irons so often?
forget-me- not I don’t recommend being me the way I am with my hair. I have gotten some curlers that work okay overnight to do beach waves and mean I just have to straighten my roots.
HOWEVER I mainly keep my hair healthy despite all the heat by doing Aloe Vera treatments before every other wash & only washing my hair once every five days.
forget-me- not get a steam pod ,they don’t damage ur hair but they are more exspensive than a jhd and a normal flat iron straightener .they are worth it in the long run xx

Using a leave-in conditioner with some kind of gel on top of it will help with the frizz and stop it from falling out. It has a better hold and doesn't dry out hair like hairspray.

I have very fine straight hair. My only two hairstyles are just all down and a ponytail, so don’t feel bad because I literally don’t know what to do with my hair either.

I liked this a lot! I have long curly hair and I still struggle with what to do with it. Sometimes it is an odd internal battle. My favorite go to is from Sarah Angius where you make a low pontytail, loop it through slightly to make a loose bun and then pin the bun up against your head. One tip: if your hair gets frizzy when you try to manipulate it, coat your fingers in some sort of product (I prefer argan oil) as you go. It helps prevent breakage, which causes frizz.

I really would recommend trying a rope braid and a waterfall braid. I tend to use those a lot to style my hair.
My hair is extremely similar to yours, and I even have a similar length. I pretty much always style wet, because I find that I can combat frizz and fluff better that way. The up side of curly hair is that it will hold braids well, though you're likely to get fly aways (which can be minimized with product, I find that men's hair gel works well for mine. The stuff they use to spike their hair without necessarily looking like there is gel in it. I use the "g2b glued" ultra hold stuff by... schwartscoff? Anyway, I can use it to just help hold my curls when my hair is down, or keep it under control when I put it up. When my hair was longer I could get it slicked right back to look like a ballerina kind of bun, and it would hold all day. Finding the right hair product that is best for you and your hair is a nightmare. I wish you luck. And may the argon oil be ever in your post shower routine.

Also I find that if you bobby pin the little baby hairs at the back of your neck upwards, it helps make the style look a little more smoother, I have to do this every time I tie my hair up in a ponytail or any other up style.
