It seems this brand is far better with face/complexion products than eye shadows 😅 I’m obsessed with their highlighters 😮💨😍🤩👌🏼 so good ! I know many raves about her blushes too 😊
I have the Love For Sale palette from before the clean relaunch that I feel was actually really well formulated and curated for the most part. I have used it a lot, and still reach for it pretty often in the fall tbh, but it does also suffer from the unsophisticated matte formulation that Morgan describes here; beautiful but not buildable. That is much easier to swallow when priced at $50 USD for 18 pans rather than $50 USD for 6 pans…

About finger vs brush application - you can although get a silicon applicator - it emulates skin texture and works as your finger would, but it's small and precise :) I have been using one for a while now and I'm surprised I'm not seeing them all over the place...
Couldn’t agree more! I have a couple of silicone applicators and love them! Using my fingers always makes shimmers apply very messy and it gets everywhere. Sponge tip applicators are also great for applying shimmers more precisely than a finger would!

@@ballet07 Not really - the first one I got worked well for me so never compared and it was not even from a big brand - I was just buying cotton pads and a few sponges and got one as a bonus... But I'm sure there is a verity out there - just look out for the shape you like :)

Really thorough review as usual Morgan - thank you. I think on balance the Natasha Denona minis give you more bang for your buck, I know they are small 5 pans but the colour pay-off is always great .. and they are much cheaper. A bit disappointed as I love the Haus Labs foundation, powder and blush .. these almost feel like 'market-tester palettes' given that there was no launch/fanfair and they are limited edition. xx

Perhaps with the 20% off will be in the hall park for some .. sometimes we don’t want crazy deep colors .. I guess your basing it on what you are used to great pigment to yes a beginners perhaps intermediate group to use ..

I wish they would have given us some toppers or duochromes. I don’t understand how they could charge $50 for six basic shades. I could simply buy a ColourPop palette and call it a day.
Yes, you could certainly buy less pricey palettes….but I do think the formula of these shadows is way superior to Colourpop. Also, in the cool toned one I bought, over a matte taupe, you can just tap a little of the lighter shade shimmers on top and get the same effect as a topper. These shadows are very versatile.

Hi, im a mua just wanted to share that loose glitter in cosmetics is prohited since 17 oct 2023 in the EU. Thats why its biogradable glitter, Hauslabs was thinkin ahead because this brand is sold in Sephora Europe. Im devastated and all loose glitters will disappear in the eu stores. The consequence biogradable glitter is double expensive and less shine. Its just good for nature and that's it
I was curious, but like another reviewer said before me (I’m giving credit where credit is due!!! Brilliant comment, original poster) reminiscent of Rare Beauty’s epic fail at eyeshadow palettes. What’s next, GXVE coming out with a 15 pan lol that’s be equally ludicrous. This color story is mildly amusing, not $50 bucks amusing!! Buy the MBM mattes instead. Same coin, better color story, I heard Morgan say “nothing special” (referring to something else), but that really does sum it up in a nut shell. Im actually turned off by the skincare in the shadows even though it’s 24 months I could see it molding after that. Who honestly throws out eyeshadow when it expires? Definitely not me 🤣. Sometimes things can be too clean. Eyeshadow is not natural and I’ve accepted it.
And as if wearing eyeshadow is going to show the benefits of the skincare ingredients? In a powder form and that you probably won’t wear every day? Total gimmick that often makes the shadow quality worse like you said 😭

Don't people pay $55 for Charlotte Tilbury quads? I know Haus Labs is a newer brand but I seem to be in the minority and don't find the CT formula to be that great. Don't get wrong, it's extremely pricey for six shades but for an Italian formula that seems to perform beautifully, I don't see the issue with the price. People will also pay $90 for Tom Ford quads that don't pack much punch in the depth department yet will swoon over his palettes. It's the name I guess. I won't be buying these but mainly because neither of the color stories speak to me enough. I appreciate the honesty. I always love that about your reviews.
Perhaps it is just that magenta/orchid, but I rather want to see the second palette you showed swatched beside ABH Fall Romance.

When I saw these the color story on both just didn't speak to me so it was already a pass for me so watching this video really semented my decision, thanks. I own every single blush shade, lip liner, eye liner, concealer, and foundation plus some other things but this is a hard pass. Great review.

Compared to Charlotte Tilbury and Tom Ford quads (whose formulas aren't even talc-free with biodegradable glitter) this palette is a steal. The mini- Xenon that you compared it to is actually half the price with less versatility. You really can only get one look out of Xenon-dramatic and smoky. The palette seems actually really good when you put it into context based off what is available on the market. It's about $8.30 for each shade, which once again is talc-free (which is important when you consider everyday eyeshadow application), made in Italy, decent packaging, relatively long shelf-life, and versatile for the average user. I've actually convinced myself to buy this now.
You will be the only one who bought it lol

Just wish the color stories were better. I’m so over these common mainstream brand shades. It’s always different variations of pinks and golds with boring beige and brown mattes. And you’re right, they look way nicer in the palette than on the eyes. Hmmmm......very underwhelming.

Kiko is also made in Italy, but personally, I don't find their eyeshadows stand out in any way. I guess certain brands have their own special lab even when they are in the same factory 🤣

I don’t understand the issue about the price. Her products have more grams in them than most others and when divided per gram they are less expensive. For example the Ilia eyeshadows have 1.5 grams for $40, this has 5g for $49 (much less expensive!). Her blushes are $38 for 11g , Pat McGrath blushes are $39 for 9.7g (again Haus is less expensive). And Pat McGrath labs Quads are $62 for 4.4g !!! Now that pricing is outrageous!
Pat McGrath has excellent quality makeup and also has frequent sales which brings down the price quite a bit! I’ve never seen a single discount for Haus Labs products and their products can be hit or miss.
I understand your point, but I think most of complainers think there should be more shades for that price. I'd be happy if the pans were smaller but there'd be more shades.

I don't think he average makeup user actually uses the full pan on every shade in a palette, so they aren't really realizing the price per gram benefit you outlined. For $50 I would expect a huge palette that allows me to use a variety of shades to create more distinct looks.

My most expensive palette was 175$ (doll hairs) and itis her regular sizes. Not what I neededyet YES I DID! 😂 I swapped out colours with all 5 quints and created a perfect palette. Most is the way it is. 😢 Sorry very sad today because my friend of 45 years died of cancer. I am devastated 😢! No more best hugs and a best friend people loved him. Sorry about this!

@@lifeonabudget8513 Haus Labs had eyeshadow palettes before back when they were sold on Amazon. Since they are sold on sephora, they haven't launched eyeshadow pallets so far. They rather focused on base products in my opinion. Apart from that, it's a completely different kind of eyeshadow palette compared to the old once (size, price range, etc).
