Yes! I can’t do fake lashes, so I love that she’s keeping it simple. Really loved her choice of colors too.
Me also. 68. And am not about to start slapping on false eyelashes. I see too many with big white spots on their lashes and lashes like butterflies have lost their way.
I usually don't comment on videos like this...today was the first time I did my makeup on my own following this tutorial, and the moment I put on mascara, I started to cry...I've never felt so pretty, thank you for sharing this, so simple and easy!
This was probably the MOST helpful eyeshadow tutorial I’ve EVER seen! You didn’t use ten thousand products and brushes with complicated techniques! I tried it out for myself with several palettes and it worked great each time!

Im getting ready to turn 65. My problem is my eyelid hangs over the outer corner of my eyes. The corner effect is lost under the fold.
(Sharon Shneyer), I'm almost 64 and have a problem that most people my age don't have, extremely oily eyelids (oily skin too). Perhaps I am lucky never having to have wrinkles. I have had oily eyelids my whole life; the oil drips from my forehead down to my eyes, few products that I have tried make a difference in how long my eye shadow stays on. I am still masking, but I would like to wear eye shadow.

Exactly. ....all the fake lashes, the deep pigments, the crazy long fake nails, the fake injected lips....it's a bit too much for my real, unfilled, naturally ugly face lol....If I follow every step, the finished look is that of a circus clown. This lady keeps it real. 😊

Tutorials feel like a lost art in current makeup TH-cam and I am glad you did this! Everyone brings a slightly different approach to even a very similar look (this look is very similar to my bread and butter format but with some tiny changes that I plan to try) and that is why it's valuable to watch multiple takes on what seems to be the same look. I sent this to my mom. 🙂 She hasn't spent as much time learning techniques as I have and this seems like a good video for her especially.
I have watched so many makeup videos over the years and I must say this is the ABSOLUTE simplest and best eyeshadow application video ever. Anyone can do this and the application can apply to anyone. Thank you for this video!
Your technique is what first made me follow you. I always loved your multiple looks one palette videos. I love how you can work color into an eye look without it being over the top.
Since 2020, I have watched hundreds of hours makeup video and watched or read dozens of “beginner” tutorials and none of them gave me as clear and helpful direction on how to apply pigment outer-V as you did in this one. I tried it today and it worked splendidly.
You may have revolutionized my makeup routine.

In case no one has said this yet, thank you for not blowing up my TH-cam alerts with shorts. I can appreciate that there is a pressure to do short form content, but I absolutely hate getting notifications and alerts on my phone telling me that a creator I follow has posted - only to find that it is just a short. So annoying.
O well! We are the consumers . Unless u provide more ' new content' not seen onall channels ... this is elementary

New subscriber here. You just cut through the noise and solved the lifetime mystery of how to simply and beautifully apply eyeshadow. This is fantastic. I don’t have to attempt a triple cut crease lol and I no longer fear my eyeshadow palettes 😂!
This lesson in eyeshadow application was fantastic. I can now use my palettes with much more confidence. Would love more application lessons eg. Contour, bronzer etc

This is great and it even works with hooded eyes if you remember to go with the actual eye bone structure. Love the more colorful look. I always l😊ve your looks and the combos you use. The one thing that blows me away is that your eyes look so big to me, I don’t know what you say they are small. And then you do this technique and put mascara one and then they are huge and don’t even have falsies on! Thank you for the tutorial!

Great video MandyLea, I think people forget how beautiful a simple eye look can be and how impactful it can be! I never understood the 7 or 8 eyeshadow shade look! Keep it simple!

This is such an easy to follow tutorial. I feel like this look is approachable by all skill sets. I’m following it this morning while using my Urban Decay Naked Mini Palette. It has the perfect mix of mattes and a few shimmers. I love it! I cannot wait to play with more colors. I’m going to apply a half flash to spice it up since I have short lashes. Thank you! ❤

Wow! I'm 65 and have been using this format for applying eyeshadow for at least 45 years. My technique is a bit different as I have hooded eyes. I still like to try new techniques even though I don't wear makeup as frequently as I used to as I work from home now. It feels good to get dressed up now and then.
