- Hey everyone, thrilled to share with you my vocal-bass cover of Coldplay’s "Viva La Vida."
I wanted to give this well-known song a “chill vibe.” It was a blast arranging this song, giving it more of a swing and bass groove.
A huge thanks to my brother and mom for filming and editing and my dad for mixing. Enjoy! (Psalm 108:1)

Still coming back to this song, very underrated cover.
I like that IS not overproduced Full of unecessary instruments to mask lack of talent or Just make everything loud and dramatic,Just raw performance with a Bass to complement
Love your music from Japan~~!🇯🇵
Thank you so much!
We need more people like you in the world! So much talent in one video. Never stop making music!!
Jazz makes everything sound better.

@@DeanWMusic Hey man this cover is amazing! Nice work.

I love what you did with this song!
Thank you! :-)
I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning, I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own
I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemy's eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
Once you go there was never, never a honest word
And that was when I ruled the world
It was a wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become
Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh, who would ever want to be king?
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Calvary choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Calvary choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

Very nice, liked it so much, but a little disappointed on the lack of instruments like saxophone and stuff. But your delivery to the song is so jazz like, and that I liked.
Thank you. My goal is to continue to expand my sound as a solo artist. Thanks for the critique! :-)

Hey quick question, did you use a different scale when you sang this song? It sounds like you're singing something more bright in some areas.
Great question! I used a different chord progression throughout the song. For example, Coldplay uses the chord progression IV, V, I in the opening phrase. For my arrangement, I did VI, V, I in the original song's relative minor. So in the key of F, Coldplay's opening progression would be Bb, C, F. In my arrangement, it would be Bb, A, D min.
Kind of a wordy answer, but in short, I reharmonized the chords while (for the most part) maintained the integrity of the original melody.
Bass in the video could be turned in 😅👌 btw good job) hallo from Ukraine 😊
Now when are you doing fallen kingdom? (The Minecraft parody)
