Lovingly called "The Tank", this is when Mercedes made luxury cars that were durable. But Americans did not like the diesel smell and sound, we never got used to just getting in and start the car and go. Waiting for the glow plug to heat up was an inconvenience.

I had 2. Put 350k on each one. Tires brakes oil change that was it. Unbreakable!
