The best car ever made. My dad owned one 1980 240D for almost twenty years. I learned to drive with a car like that. Many good memories come to my mind 😢

Wow. It's in amazing condition. The W123 is the hallmark Mercedes-Benz for a lot of people and considered an over-engineered Mercedes-Benz
STUNNING vehicle. I had a 79 300D in this color combination. That car lasted 500,000 miles.

This thing is GORGEOUS!! I just bougfht my own but with that classic cream color, and sge's a stickshift with wayyyyyyy more miles on her. But I just can't contain my excitement over this car, what a find! This is my first diesel, and I am so pleased already. :)
Our mom had a new 300TD wagon when we were teenagers - similar color - great car. We could easily tell if it was mom or dad pulling into the garage by the sound of the diesel engine - it was a tank wrapped in luxury :)

I have an '83 240D in about the same condition but more miles. My only complaint about the one shown is that it is automatic transmission. My manual four speed is the preferred combination.
This may seem weird, but a 240D is one of my "bucket list" cars.....I wish I were in a better position to purchase.

I looked at one of these today. The engine was suspect with all the blow-by coming from the crankcase so I had to pass. Rust free otherwise in Michigan is so rare.
Blow-by is normal, a lot of professional mechanics have dismissed blow-by as an indicator of the health of a Diesel engine. Search “blow-by”.
