  • The right must decide who is a real friend, the left manipulates for a Republican split with Trump, and Trump pursues some well-crafted policy!

    Shapiro is no longer a conservative pundit he's one of the few reasonable political evaluators on either side. That's what we need right now regardless of political leanings

      +Khabib Nurmagomedov but wasn't the campus public, I may be wrong on this. Furthermore, that's what college is right, to expose you to new, different and similar ideas so you can independently formulate your own thoughts and defenses/arguments on your own world view.

      Thanks Alex. I used to like Milo, still do but I realized recently, like Ben pointed out, me going too far in agreeing with stuff just because the left hates it. Milo does a few wacky things and I guess I tolerated it because it infuriated the left but now I realize that isn't good either. I listen to Ben just to keep me clear thinking. I have listened to Ruben and once I heard Sargon but I haven't paid him too much attention. I will have a look.

    I am 17 and am a senior in high school. Today I had a teacher that yelled at me in front of my entire class for not adhering to her political beliefs about transgender people and the supposed attack on their civil rights by President Trump. I brought up many points and studies that Ben has brought up before that rebutted her argument yet she kept on stating that she was right and knew more than me because of her masters in sociology. Even though I pointed to many studies and reports, she continued stating that I was wrong, the sole reason being that I did not agree with her. She continued to ramble on about her history of being a victim, how apparently the constitution does not protect all people, and how bigots like me are hopeless because we ignore science even though I argued her point with the fact that people are biologically born a certain way. After she concluded her yelling she started talking about her vast knowledge in the subject because she is a lesbian, taking on the victim status. She basically spent half an hour indoctrinating my entire class and now many of my fellow students have turned to name calling and threatening me with violence for my political beliefs. What should I do?

    Hello guys I'm going to throw myself at your mercy. I honestly just want to know what to do. I'm a 22 year old male I was brought here at the age of 5 from Mexico. Now, before you call me a "taco" or make a few "you gotta go back" jokes please hear me out. I understand that what my parents did was wrong Illegal Immigration is not ok I understand the argument and I agree with it. I've Been in the US since I was 5 years old. I've grown here went to school graduated highschool and I;m now a pre med student. I've made lifelong friends and am an active member of my community I met my wife here and have a baby girl. I've never been in trouble with the law and I have a Huge heart for this country which I consider my home even if I wasn't born here. Id defend it If the need should arrive. I'm a recipient of DACA but with all this uncertainty I dont know what my future holds. I don't think its fair that I could be punished for the sins of my parents. I honestly wish to stay In the US. Do you guys have any advice for me? I was 5 when I was brought here and I honestly consider my self American even if I'm not legally on paper. Any advice on what I should do would help. Thanks for your time.

      Drum A You cane here when you were 5, Now your pre-med and you are also married with children? So your age is what? Late 20'searly 30's.
      So you have been here for 20ish years, and you are not a Permanent Resident? And some how you have been here all those years and after being a Permanent Resident you haven't applied for citizenship?
      You are either an idiot or a liar which one is it?

    • @davidb5205
      @davidb5205 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For illegal immigrants there are a few options:
      1. Marriage to a citizen or lawful permanent resident
      2. Sponsorship from an employer
      3. Asylum seeker
      First advice: get an immigration attorney. The process will be long and costly, but invaluable. Now *if your wife is a citizen/lawful permanent resident*, then you can apply for an immigrant visa (green card) which in your specific case as an illegal immigrant, requires you to first leave the country and complete your visa application abroad. Normally, this would take 3 years, but there is a provisional waiver that you can apply for which allows you to return much quicker after a consular interview. The purpose of provisional waiver is to maintain family unity which completely applies in your case since you have a wife and kids. This is all assuming your wife is legally here. *Otherwise, you will have to seek sponsorship from an employer*, which is pretty much the same process. If you are a high-skilled, highly educated person, then you have a decent chance at finding an employer who will sponsor you. It will also require leaving the country first and completing the process abroad. However there is an exception, the LIFE Act’s 245(i) provision, which allows you to complete this process in the USA without having to leave. The LIFE Act 245(i) applies to you if an immigrant petition (I-130) was filed on your behalf or on your parent’s behalf on or before April 30, 2001. *Last option is applying for refugee/asylum status.* Since you are coming from Mexico, I highly doubt this applies, but if you have a "well-founded fear of future persecution (specifically due to race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion)" in Mexico, then you qualify.
      If you are successful in legally obtaining a green card, I suggest you acquire citizenship status ASAP. The sooner you get things squared away, the better. Good luck to you.

      I'm not lying.... Like I stated I'm 22 years old and I just had my first baby shes only 3 months. And I'm saving money to afford the lawyer fees and government cost for applying to become a citizen. My question was that I was brought here as a child and I wan't to be American I'm not some crazy SJW but that is my situation at the moment. WHen I can get deported any time apparently.

      @alexa2496 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for this comment. My wife is a Citizen and we are working on fixing my status. But my problem is that I'm legit scared that I can be deported for a crime I didn't commit willingly and miss out on my family and my future here. Anyhow thank you for your courteous and not freaking out like most people do.

    Why can't people just practice critical thinking and decide, by themselves, what to believe based on their own principles they hold to be dear? Why must people, on both sides, wait to be told what to think and who to agree with? Have some confidence in your own cognition and develop it as such.

    The left and their increasing absurdity makes it difficult to have a reasonable argument. Nearly impossible. I feel I have no choice but to defend conservatives at any cost, and I'm not even sure if I'm fully conservative. I hate feeling I have to be on one side or the other and must label myself, or worse be accused of being something I'm not for having a differing opinion. But the liberals have gone COMPLETELY off the rails now and I've no choice but to distance myself from them. They are shamelessly ruthless and infuriatingly dishonest! I don't want them to feel validated by giving them the slightest bit of reconciliation when their tactics are ridiculous.

This is a perversion of the Keynesian model. The Keynesian model does work, and Friedman would acknowledge that. But Trickle down does not. Trickle up works because it aids in production. Trickle down is just frivolous consumption.

      Damn, by no means am I one for a very progressive stance and take on a socialist approach but I am no fan of the conservative idea either. Thanks for answering me though.

    Hence the reason I approach Milo from arms length. The man has the moral compass that is similar to Hollywood. He's sick and deranged in a lot of ways. However much I agree with some of his points(he is conservative), I cannot get behind him.

    Yes it made inviting the speaker worth while, inviting people with different opinions should be the basis of universities. Who are you to determine when the 1st amendment ends? Disagree with the speaker all you want, protest as well, but actual riots over free speech is wrong, and you're wrong on this statement.

    The comments here make Ben's point for him. Listen to what he is actually saying. The alt-right and the radical left sound a lot alike.

    I really don't know enough about David Duke's positions to defend him by any means, but isn't it actually true that Jewish people own most of the banking and mainstream media institutions? Judaism is a little tricky because it's an ideology as well as a race, but if you can show that there's some ideological hegemony there is it a discussion that's inherently racist?

    • @Nauseum
      @Nauseum 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      for example, I have no problem with Arab people running Saudi Arabia, but the ideological hegemony of Islam is a huge problem.

      @Nauseum 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      A Mir I agree, there are certainly different denominations in all religions with very different interpretations of their core doctrines. And I'm not saying ideological Judaism is necessarily causing problems, but I'm asking whether it's racist to have that discussion. Ben seems to suggest it is here.

    I think the speaker should have the option to speak, and thus against the protestors, especially if shown violent. At the same time, I think say Islamists can speak on campuses and so forth, even thou they might use derogatory language about homosexuals, Jews, women whatever. The line is drawn when one promote violence.
    Preferably I would like such speakers having a bunch of students who just asks critical questions, instead of protesting. It's important cause they may have to deal with such people in their career.

    Yeah, we know who the enemy is, and we have good memories, Ben. Controlled opposition and pacing your audience for when it matters IE election time or taking down someone important to a new movement not controlled by typical left and right politics. Any good liar needs to put truth in the goods like putting cheese on a mousetrap. You're a good debater but not effective at resisting Saudi money.

    Also Ben I stand for Free Speech, no matter who it is, with a few exceptions like during a declared war. Example: Nazi free speech bad in WWII when we are fighting Nazis, but in peacetime it is ok. Why in peacetime? Because the left views Ben Shapiro as a Nazi / Fascist. They don't care that you are Jewish, because their definition of Nazism is anyone who disagrees with them. Simply acting like you are above it all, is frankly crap and won't convince anyone to side with you. I don't want allies like that...who crack and become McMuffin supporters.

    Where are these conservatives you are talking about? I am worried you are pissed at Milo, pissed that Milo was invited to CPAC (which he shouldn't have been in my opinion), pissed that Milo seems to have stained his image and in turn "the right", and angry at "us" (the internet viewers) because some people supported him. If this is all true, I think you are pretty much spot on on some of that, but don't let it turn u inside out against your own party. We need you fighting on our side.....

    Sometimes I wish I could hate Trump like Liberals hate Trump. I don't necessarily mean perpetuate the liberal hyperbole, but rationally hate him. I tried, but I can't. The left makes me hate them, and I'm not even a Conservative either. The anti-PC, anti-Establishment, anti-Corporate media is too much of a pull. It's why I thought Bernie was a good candidate... until he endorsed Clinton. But the need to conform to the left is so strong because you get bullied and harassed for even being objective about Trump.
