Ole was very hard to beat. He is in the end a double olympic medalist.

This is an amazing story. Anyone who competes in combat sports can feel his desire, intensity, heartbreak… all that. Super inspiring battle.

Ole won that thing fair and square. Travis look at it was a bit biased towards himself 😁

Fair, but at the end of the day it would be difficult to be unbiased as the guy who lost considering the circumstances at stake.

Travis was going forward more, but Ole was dominating the gripfighting.

Travis probably doesn't remember me, but I remember him. I trained at Pedro's judo center and was lucky enough to be there while he was training. I remember after Kayla Harrison won in 2012 we all went to Boston to celebrate. I remember someone asked Travis why he was sitting by himself, and I heard him say there is nothing for me to celebrate. I could feel his frustration, and it made me sad. Not sad for him, just sad. Train for 4 years and some bs like a cut happens. It's a good thing he was able to win in 2016.

Watched the match after this interview expecting to see a robbery and was surprised to see a very close match with if anything Bischof edging it. Perhaps if Travis had watched it more than once he might get a better perspective.

I guess it's hard to be objective if you were one of the competitors! I'll have to watch it myself to judge tho

That fencing thing was 1000x worse than this. They just straight up kept replaying until the girl they were pulling for won. It was completely f-ing disgusting. And the clock could only have whole seconds added, but it could have the extra fractions of a second run off to get the correct time so there's really no excuse. That girl was probably some billionaire's niece or something.

I really like Travis but this video is bullshit. Ole got the fair victory by judges decision. Ole was much more close to throw during the main time of the match and did some good attacks during the golden score. I remember watching this match and I was sure that decision will go to Bischof. There were some controversial judges decision during this Olympics but THSI DECISION WAS 100% RIGHT. IT REALLY NOT LOOKING GOOD TO SAY THAT THIS WAS THE ROBBERY OR SMTH ILKE THIS, IT IS DISRESPECTFUL TO OLE.
It was a close fight, for sure but I can explain why Ole got it. Because I am the judo referee.

pretty single sided. you want to win for sure, you better do it yourself during the fight. sure he did not get a penalty, but also not even small score.

Travis suffered one of the most blatant, conceited robberies in sports' history. People won't remember it 'cause it's judo.
