"You don't put a bumper sticker on a mercedes benz" Okay but like to the people who say stuff like that and say "your body is a temple/home".........okay what do you do with homes and temples? You decorate it and hang up art. A home is empty and cold until you put life into and hang up art work and make it ornate. Art in temples and churches can show a story. I like to think of tattoos in the same way of hanging up paintings in your home, both are beautiful.

I also hope that everyone wants to one day participate in an alternative fashion someday gets the funds or the skills to make or obtain the clothes they really want.🙏🙏🙏 (speaking as someone who couldn't participate in the fashion community that they wanted to until this year in adulthood after admiring the styles from afar since early adolescence. What’s crazy is Mexican culture BEFORE colonisation was all about piercings and body art i.e. The Mayans, Incas and Aztecs. It’s sad how much colonialism has ruined beautiful cultures such as the indigenous people of Central and South America. You looked amazing Penny! I hope you get full sleeves some day. 🥰
I told my mom this!!! How Mesoamericans were proud of their tattoos, septum piercings and stretched ears. It was the Christian Spanish colonizers that deemed this as "demonic" and to this day, Latinos STILL think that. It's crazy!
@@PennyTovar I completely agree! It’s so sad to see indigenous practices be deemed as demonic or barbaric all because white people said so. Coming from a Polynesian background, I’ve tried to reconnect with my culture’s religion and old practices before colonialism took over and have seen a lot of criticism and backlash from my own people who are devout Christians saying they believe the missionaries ‘saved’ us lol. Hopefully one day they’ll understand. But really glad I found your channel as I relate so much! Keep doing you girl! 💖
no manches chamaca, I just got g noted
The link wallpaper on your phone im losing my mind adsgfhgkjl i love the look I feel that trying to be into alternative fashion while hispanic vibe lmao
I love the tattoos and the makeup and everything about it. Honestly if my nurse came in wearing tattoos it would be so fun I feel like it would be cool to have a nurse with tattoos.
You’re bringing me back to my high school days. Year of 2005. I used to wear a spiked choker and baggy pants xD
I just came from her "after work and I'm crying" video and you cant definitely tell the difference when penny is upset🥺🥺🥺 I love you penny thanks for making us laugh
Growing up Hispanic: my grandma said if I ever got a tattoo she would cut it off with a knife 😂
best line ever!, "you look like you punch people",,,Martin. (hahaha, I love your parents reaction!)
Penny why🤣🤣
Why scare your parents like that🤣🤣😭😭🤣🤣
Ok Penny but this outfit just looks like your normal clothes but darker. Looks great! 😂
YASSSS PENNY Me encantó que hicieras lo que TÚ quieres! Y entiendo que no lo haces por la sociedad en la que vivimos pero me encanta que lo pudiste expresar. Love you 🖤
“DONT YALL RIDE A CIVIC?” IM CRYINGGGG
Those tattoos reminded me of the tiny ones you'd get from school that would only last for a day but you'd still try not to get it wet 😭
this look is awesoooooooooooome penny omg and the way your parents reacted was the same as mine when I got permanent tattoos lmfao
Embrace your emo-ness and go, chica. 🤣
Now that’s what I call content! Love to see you express yourself and love the music genre. ( you look awesome with tats btw) I wish I can rock those kind of styles but I go through so many moods I’m just random! 🤣
Omg I love this!!! You're my spirit animal 😭😭
I dig it -- thanks for sharing your parents reactions, hilarious and unfiltered.
I definitely had an emo phase. Thankfully my parents were chill about it. My mom even cut my hair so I could have scene curly hair. But unfortunately lip piercings were a "hell no." They were like "when you move out, sure." And I'm like, "by then, I'll need a job and then I really can't have piercings." So outfits, hair, and black nails were it for me.
Shout out to all you og Curly Penny subscribers!
I'm so grateful that my parents aren't that traditional, while they don't approve of tattoos they just let me do what I want since I'm almost 20 and feel like they shouldn't be telling me what to do about my appearence as long as I'm happy lmao 😂
I'm so oldddd I didn't understand most of what Penny was talking about!!! LOL. However I am always here for any video she does, they are brilliant craic!!!
I was never brave enough to ask my mom to buy me alternative clothes 😭 Now when I'm 20 I wear weird mix of egirl, goth and menhera, so exactly how I always wanted
Have some pierogies, 🅱️enny 🥟🥟🥟
@11:45 I feel like grudge is more of a old school dark esthetic so I wouldn’t say grudge, even tho the nirvana shirt would definitely make it more grudge lol. If you were to look up goth on Pinterest, goth seems to be more just a “ girly “ emo & just wearing all black while emo is more tomboy, band shirts, converse, belts & definitely shaggy hair so I’d definitely say you did the emo look perfect 🥰 & a mixture of punk as well ! loved this video ! 🖤
Last time I was this early penny was yawning in spanish
Mann this was always my dream since middle school😭 I’ve always loved the hardcore look and I’m soo glad I started changing up my style more recently to fit that look
Now that I’m an adult and have money......🤔🤔🤔
This is such a satisfying video for me 😂
Go for it! Do what makes YOU happy. It's not hurting anyone. And you could always start with piercings, those can always be easily taken out.
As soon as Penny started sniffing the air when she pulled out the Nirvana shirt, I knew where it was going 💀💀
The tattoo reveal reactions were so pure 😂
xD
“Don’t you ride a civic”
I’m dead 😂😂
The editing of this video 👌
Also same rawr
Dad says: you don’t put bumper stickers on a Mercedes Benz!
You: don’t you drive a civic??? 🤣
WE LOVE AND SUPPORT AND EXCITED AND TRUE TO HERSELF PENNYYY
It’s funny because you’re glowing so bright in goth/punk 😂
"You don't put a bumper sticker on a mercedes benz"
Okay but like to the people who say stuff like that and say "your body is a temple/home".........okay what do you do with homes and temples? You decorate it and hang up art.
A home is empty and cold until you put life into and hang up art work and make it ornate. Art in temples and churches can show a story. I like to think of tattoos in the same way of hanging up paintings in your home, both are beautiful.
I'm loving it Penny 😍 I dressed close to this in highschool through my early twenties. Then I had bills to pay and couldn't afford to maintain my style as I gained weight. Your personality and bright light still shines out, even through the dark makeup.
We love you Penny & will except you for who you are ❤️ Never be afraid to be YOU! That’s why we are all here:)
“Don’t y’all ride a civic?” 😂🤣👑
you rocked this, and your excitement and genuine joy in this style are so worth it!!! I hope you gain the confidence to dress and present the way you want more often in the future , Penny. 🖤 also I wish the same for anybody else who is thinking about dressing or presenting themselves in a different way than what is expected in our restrictive society, no matter what gender, body, ability, race, skin tone, whoever you are you deserve to feel comfortable and confident. I believe in yall)
idk why this made me sad, jus your family’s reactions and even your mans IM SO SORRY,- you look beautiful and fun to be around either way and i’m glad we got to see what you actually wanna look like:))
Looked like a goth punk mashup, but I'm here for it! Was totally my look in high school. Except for the makeup, but the makeup was on during the weekend. Loved your cargo vest, I need one like that again.
I feel like you! I want to but i feel held back by an invisible rule! 🤣😢
