Hey man, I appreciated what you said about immediately upon conception it doesn't make sense that it's an autonomous life, anymore than a sperm or egg cell is... The only relevant question is: when is a human alive? We wouldn't kill a baby after she was born just because of a bad situation. That murder. Is there a difference between a baby 5 minutes after she's born versus 5 minutes earlier? I think logically it's self evident that a baby is alive and it's wrong to kill her 5 minutes before birth. So now we have to backtrack. At what point after a fertilized egg successfully implants is it a living human and not just replicating cells? Some would say immediately. Maybe, maybe not. I think logically/scientifically it's hard to argue that a baby in the womb isn't alive with a functioning circulatory system, aka brain telling the heart to beat and pump blood to all the organs. How do we identify a dead person? No heart beat/brain function. So that's also how we should identify a living person (with the moral right to bodily autonomy).

Not really though. Only if you're so ideologically captured as to think that she made a strong case...but that's such a sheltered attitude that it's cult-like. There's a solid rebuttal to everything she said. Not that you'd need to agree with the rebuttal, but the rebuttal can easily stale-mate what she said, such that neither position can truly claim the moral and logical high-ground. Man-on-the-street interviews like this are useless because all of these people are too dumb and/or ideologically captured to lay out the true debate...and they are all too morally juvenile to properly explore the issue itself. Andrew, you and your companion's work here is top notch. Letting voices be heard, without any hidden agenda, without any hidden narrative, is something few news outlets do. It is clarity in unclear times.
I love how he asks the same basic questions to each person / group of people without leading them to answer one way or another. Then he steps back and allows the people to speak in full, explained sentences. No sound bytes, no gotcha moments, no underhandedly designed questions to create a narrative. This is one of many reasons why the people love Andrew and Channel 5.

Or things like "my semen" an,d the idea of "not yet" With thoses BS idea: i baby is "not yet" a citizen ... yet the law give a stronger penalty. Hell, the law also charge you with double homocide if a pregnant woman dies. and Hell, fetus can hear and feel inside the womb. It's much healthier to forbit abortion as a default, but allow for certain circunstances than the other way around and having it being another contraceptive after the tomorow pill... But no doubt that Big pharma would prefer abortion to become a new contraceptive. Imagine all the cream they could produces with so many stem cells
I was friends with a woman who was raped and ended up pregnant. She had the baby and even raised it. She told me it wasn’t her son’s fault that his father did that to her, that she didn’t agree with abortion and chose to have the baby instead. Some people choose to keep the child when abortion is an option. And abortion should always be an option. Just because some people find it disagreeable, doesn’t mean they should take that choice from somebody else.
Your friend is great but I strongly disagree with you. Abortion is still an option just like every other crime is. That doesn’t make it morally right. 600,000+ murders or “abortions” occurred every year without any justice. That’s not right. You would be sick if murderers were allowed to execute 600k people each year without any consequences. Plus this doesn’t take away abortion. It just brings it to the state level. If they really want an abortion they’ll just have to go to Abortion Disneyland over in California. Maybe that would incentivize them to not murder their child over an “inconvenient situation”.
My mom got pregnant at 17 and had the choice to abort me. In fact her dad promised to disown her if she didn't. Obviously she chose not to and did indeed get disowned. Sometimes I think about how different our relationship would be, even subtly, if I had to always wonder if she was simply forced to have me.
Exactly, it should be a choice. I think the Christian women at the end should have a valid opinion, if she doesn't want to do it. That's great but if someone is in a worse situation, its their call. Not mine or yours, but the women's.

Andrew is legitimately amongst the most effective journalists for the crazy times we live in, comparable to Murrow or Cronkite for their time. Social media requires unbiased documentation of the madness that it displays. We all benefit from this type of reporting
I would not say that these videos are unbiased at all, although I am a fan, channel 5 clearly has left leaning viewpoints. They try to make conservatives look ridiculous and make them a joke while they take liberals seriously. I’m still a fan, but this channel is pretty far from unbiased
This video is a clear representation of Andrew slow drift away from being unbiased, as in this video Andrew's behaviour was quite biased towards the left leaning people in the video. By behaviour, I mean the questions he was asking. To most of the left leaning people, his questions were mere conversation topics, while his questions towards that Christian woman were downright verbal challenges. I'd like to see these leftists fumble around trying to answer what's the difference between aborting and killing a 2 month old baby. Sure, there's an answer to that, and someone reading this preparing his keyboard warrior persona and Google might be able to formulate a good answer, but that Christian woman probably would have given a better answer in these circumstances.
While I normally agree, I think you're wrong in this particular video. I like when journalists play devils advocate. Andrew did not in anyway challenge the view of these people (which I should say I personally agree with). But like, I would like it if maybe he once talked about what these peoples view were on mandated vaccines. In my opinion everyone has the RIGHT to bodily autonomy, whether that be abortion, vaccination, etc etc etc. Journalism isn't about giving a voice to those without a voice, while that is a part of it, I think journalism is taking an unbiased opinion of the views of the masses and questioning the masses why they believe what they do and challenging those views even if you do agree with it.
@@deaansugee That Christian woman looked like it was her first time she was allowed to speak to someone by herself. Her husband will probably beat the shit out of her later because she stumbled in her response. A series of events have taken place at the point of conception that obviously cannot be undone except through abortion. I really don’t think that they have a lack of empathy for the woman either. Just for the record, being pro-life doesn't necessarily have anything to do with religion. The debate is simply around when human rights are applied to human cells: Is it a conception? Heartbeat? A stage of brain development? When it's born? After first/second/third trimester? This is the question which ultimately matters in the debate, and there are good faith, non religious arguments from both sides. Let's stop pretending like the debate is a black/white issue.
@@lubb213 This debate is a boogieman. The truth is that no person should be forced to give use of their organs against their will to anyone or anything for any reason -even if it could save a life. When you realize this, there's nothing to debate at all.
@@meepmeep5223 Pro-life people would mainly agree with that statement when it comes to organ donation. However, pregnancy is inherently different from organ donation. @@lubb213 "Should a mother be able to leave a baby on the side of the road to fend for itself" implies the child is born and thats not at all what anyone here is talking about. The only difference between organ donation and forceful organ use is that one involves being dead and the other doesn't (we're all okay with dead people now having more rights to their organs and who uses them than the living) It makes no difference whether organs are being ripped out of you for use or staying inside you for use. If its a fetus, a five year old or a grown doctor with children of his own it is not legal nor morally right to force another person to give up any part of their body to save or preserve a life without strict consent whether the organs still be inside the person or otherwise.

Just wanted to note that the heartbeat begins on week 7 and synapse activity only begins to skyrocket around week 28. 42.9% of all abortions happen before week 6 (before the heartbeat), and another 36.4% of all abortions happen between weeks 7-9 (before the lobes of the brain have even developed). 13.4% of abortions happen between weeks 10-13, which is before any synapse activity. That's 92.7% of abortions. The fetus at this point would look like a misshapen blob if you were to rip it out. It could not grow into a human being, even with the most cutting art modern technology. And let's be realistic. Later abortions are often done out of necessity. The fetus' brain isn't developing, the pregnancy poses a high chance of death to the mother, there are other complications, etc. Nobody gets pregnant to have an abortion.

I honestly believe these videos Andrew & crew put out will be referenced by historians of the future. No matter which side of the debate you belong, displaying american/western society in such a raw way is definitely valuable in and of it self. I hope you never stop making these videos
calling it a debate may even be put into question in the historical text one day. A pathological liar may argue that your stab wound wouldn't be as bad as what the stabber is gonna go through in jail, so they argue its your own responsibility and your own failt for going out at night. Historians may see calling this a matter of debate as just another tool of the anti choice crowd.
@@crabinijig8403 Oh I most definitely agree. But this is what our still advancing civilization looks like today. Although the extremely flawed morality of forcing women to carry to term *shouldn't* be up for debate, it unfortunately still very much is, in todays society. It's like how the historians of today, and people in general look back on certain common practises of the past with disgust and just shake their head. All I really can say about it is I'm glad I don't live in america during a period where its politicians are somehow allowed to be inching towards fascism.
@@guitarxgaming64 You do realize that the side that is siding with abortions being legal are the side continuing old pagan practices correct? The Anti Abortion side is progressive; it focuses on all individuals and doesnt discriminate against specific human beings. Christians have been tirelessly working to end Slavery, Infanticide, Abortion, Human Trafficking, Injustice against the poor, Human Hunger, etc..... For many of these moral issues we are on the side of justice; the side that wants to continue archaic practices of treating some humans as lesser than; and saying its ok to kill humans have been against us for 2000 years.
I like that people are standing up for their rights. I personally think it would be helpful if more people actually study the structure, regulations, and rules the government has to follow. I feel the government thrives off of ignorance of the Commonwealth. Personally I will be making an effort to study the government and what rules they must abide by. All of the information is up for anyone to look up. You may read it online and even download it. I intend to study everything I can straight from the source. I think if we want to accomplish meaning change we must understand the game being played and beat them at it. All the information is free and available to the public online. It is a lot of information and looks intimidating but I believe that's precisely what is being exploited. You'd be surprised about the amount of rules and procedures that must be followed in government. I believe it is our duty to study it. And when everyone is aware of the fine details of just exactly how this government operates we can begin to recognize and identify when the rules are not being followed. I will not let the government benefit from my own ignorance on the subject anymore. It's time we the people, understand our government to the degree that we can call bullshit as soon as it occurs. When we see the worst parts of our government, I think we just chalk it up to evil, or because they're bad, or to this concept of evil that occurs in our world. I think the enemy (what we conceptualize as evil and malevolence) is within all of us. I believe the old saying goes,"in order for evil to prevail, it requires that good men do nothing." I would've said people instead of men in order to emphasize that what we call evil, is not a force or being or any other mystical/mysterious thing that operates in the shadows. I think Hannah Arendt was on to something, I think she described it as the banality of evil. I enjoy your work Andrew, and would like to support your work. You're doing actual investigative journalism. You're conducting investigations and reporting on events with an emphasis on the humanity of the situation. You/your team's videos impact me deeply precisely because the investigation being presented is humanized. These are people first and last. I struggled making this reply because I didn't want to refer to what's being presented, as a story. I think just by calling something a story, it has an effect on me and incorrectly puts an assumption in my head that stories are fictional. I think just by calling it a story would have resulted in an unconscious bias to some effect.
My feelings are still pretty raw, so I went into this thinking that it was going to be a rough watch. It was, but it also felt cathartic. Nobody's better at this sort of thing than Channel 5.

Haha! Yes I knew I'd find you. Liked so more can see dude!

I find the culture of baby murdering a little more than disagreeable
Based. Leave it up to the woman and the doctor, zero reason to get the government involved.

Should a mother be able to leave a baby on the side of the road to fend for itself as no one has a right to tell her what to do with her body? No. That invalidates the argument you’re making. It’s not just about the mothers bodily autonomy, it’s also the fetus’.
@@lubb213 "Should a mother be able to leave a baby on the side of the road to fend for itself" implies the child is born and thats not at all what anyone here is talking about. I'm speaking of anything that cannot survive on its own without a host - you know, the one using another person's organs? The only difference between organ donation and forceful organ use is that one involves being dead and the other doesn't (we're all okay with dead people now having more rights to their organs and who uses them than the living) It makes no difference whether organs are being ripped out of you for use or staying inside you for use. If its a fetus, a five year old or a grown doctor with children of his own it is not legal nor morally right to force another person to give up any part of their body to save or preserve a life without strict consent whether the organs still be inside the person or otherwise.

You do realize that the side that is siding with abortions being legal are the side continuing old pagan practices correct?

I don't remember when I learned Andrew was from Washington but every time I'm reminded it brings me such joy. I get to share a home state with the most respectable reporter out here. You do amazing work. Sad I missed you at the protests but happy you made it out to give some exposure. 🖤
He from philadelphia
@@JayPogach and, moved to Seattle where he was little.
🤣😅 hes not from Washington goofball & philly is the best.
@@bonjourbonjour2754 I disagree, he gives people a voice, the editing is more 'meme appeal' but so far he hasn't edited what people actually say, he doesn't make anyone look stupid, the stupidity comes from their mouths
but thats just my opinion
Where is he from in WA??
I really thought this would be a normal channel 5 video with the editing and craziness and was so happy to see the genuine voices of those out there right now when I can’t be. Thank you
This is a normal video. They just went to a place where the opinions are actually fleshed out and relevant
@@MADBURNERZ facts
@@MADBURNERZ Lol these people's opinions are the furthest from "relevant". Not to mention 99% of won't be affected by this at all. Then you have the people who hate the government, they hate the constitution, but their somehow upset about an overturning of Roe v Wade which quite literally does exactly what they want. Decentralized Federal Laws. I sure as hell don't want the Federal Government having a say over my body. I think you're incredibly naive if you do. I'm a female, I don't go around fking random guys on tinder, and having unprotected sex all the time. It's very irresponsible, and it shocks me that there are heaps of people out there who think its not. I've literally seen people say "What if I have a kid and he has down syndrome, I wanna be able to have an abortion, so I don't have a child like that". That's the most pure, scumbag, evil shit I have ever read, heard in my life. We've strayed further and further from the path.
@Dylan Scott "Every accusation is an admission."
He is just letting people talk as usual, same as the satanist temple video.
But sometimes, people that protest are the sane ones.
As a Catholic, I remember specifically the part of the bible where God told me only he can judge and not to push him onto others, that he wants them to come freely to him 🤦🏾♀️ but everyone swears they're doing God's work
As my grandmother would say don't bring the Lord into your mess
That is not even almost close to existing.
@@BeefyPreacher the 10 commandments are not even close to existing? 🧐
Read the whole passage. It says to not judge if you’re a hypocrite and to stop being a hypocrite so you can judge righteously.
Yeah, Christians were saying the same thing when Abolitionists were trying to force their morality onto others by banning slavery. Progress when it violates human rights isnt up to cultures; justice must be served regardless.
Andrew and the team, thank you for what y'all have been doing!
HEY... EVERYBODY !!!! just so you know we have until 2028ish to know God,
after that... well...let's just say... nobody will be whining about injustice in the world
@@philobetto5106 Broo what do you meann, The Bible states In Matthew "about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
How u know 2028??
You mean RAPING women???
You so happy?? Why?
these serious Channel 5 episodes are always so hard hitting. Respect and thank you.
this sucks. I feel like I'm watching Vice news minus the action. Miss the old shit.
the nra one was a little better. this was much more serious. there wasnt much entertainment to be taken out of this subject. I can appreciate his style of letting the people just speak here.

What is peaceful or loving about killing babies because you’re irresponsible?
I have no idea what the politics of this interviewer are.. it is amazing.
I'd be interested in hearing what they thought of miscarriage and health issues that would naturally fail, potentially resulting in the death of the mother or the child, or both. Great videos, fellas

They'd probably say it naturally happens in pregnancies or that it's destined by god...but...wouldn't that make god a baby killer 😱
