- Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has a ton of challenges, but with the correct setups you can easily overcome them. Poppi's third form allows you to bulldoze the greatest of obstacles!
This is currently the build that I use, which has the highest damage output in the game. By quickly building up Lv3 Specials, you'll be shredding through bosses in less than 6 minutes per fight! Enjoy! ^^

Some things you could do to optimize poppi even further:
Since poppi already does so much critical damage, you don’t need Critical Restore V. Critical Restore I should be good enough. Even at 10% crit heal you should be able to survive pretty easily since your arts alone will often crit at close to 100k (which heals you for 10k) plus the Steady Beam art is an AOE heal attack. Your specials are pretty much guaranteed to max heal because of the high crit rate and massive attack power.
With the extra energy from bumping down the Critical Restore V you can invest in AB Vital Charge V for your specials RAMs for a significant damage boost. Since pretty much every hit of your specials max heals, you will pretty much always be at 90% HP during a special so the 150% damage boost is free.
If you can extract them from Tiger Tiger, you can fit the lower Poppi forms with static stat boots to Strength to increase the damage you're getting further.
You could also put ab frontal force instead of ab challenger since it gives the same amount of damage boost, you’ll be the only one alive so it can only target you so you’ll be attacking from the front anyway and it will be more useful for lower lvl unique monsters
OK Li, im not sure if you know this but ill tell you anyway.
There is almost no point in having the world tree drop, because it is an additive modifier, so it is less effective than, say, an optical headband or a saber attachement, because both of them give separate modifiers. For ex., the male loincloth looks like it should increase your damage more than the optical headband (50% vs 60%) but it actually isnt because of the modifier. To be honest your "swooshing slash" should be hitting over 100k per hit, and supernova should easily cap at 999k. Also, in chain attacks everything except Poppi Ignition should hit the damage cap, even with only 4 orbs. Heck, Quantum Jugement caps comfortably at full burst (per hit with 4 orbs) for however many stupid times it hits for.

RaGiNgBaNaNa101 saber attachment for a boost everywhere, you can get a teir 3 from the Sovereign enemies on highway 8 in morytha, the last item depends on the situation but optical headband, you get from the lvl 70 bunnits in gormott is a good choice. Burst symbol is another great choice for the team as it increases your chain att damage allowing you to kill super bosses in 1-2 chain atts with no orbs required.
You should look up a youtuber named Smalten for the best examples or Enel for a full explanation.

I wish we could upgrade Poppi without really grinding on tiger, tiger. I need to open all three of the skills slots for PoppiQTπ but I need to get about 70K crystal points and that too me is just too much!
It's a lot. Personally, as someone that loves playing Tiger Tiger, it was a breeze, but for people that don't enjoy it as much, just find the easiest level you can reliably clear and put on a movie/lets play/podcast/show. Then after a while, sell every part you earned and put a dent into your costs!
Nn Li I do love playing it but I just finished grinding/completing all of my current blade affinity charts (Except the 3 blades that Im missing!), that alone was a big grin! To collect 70k points seems daunting to me right now. Im still trying to unlock my 3 remaining blades so that i can finish off the game main story. What's the biggest difference between easy mode and normal aside the difficulty? Do you get different items or less crystals by playing easy mode? I have gotten all gold medals in each of the 5 levels. So, I'll give it a try tonight. I don’t mind playing it, just a lot of time consumption!
My problem is just rng. Getting master mods is a pain.
easy mode makes it so you don't take wall damage and that's about it. Same rewards. I personally found normal wonky and the hit box is weird. so I play easy whenever I take a poo and in less than a week I have all my poppi maxed out and tens of thousands of spare ether. also don't forget to crystalize your extra parts.
God damn it I really hate Tiger Tiger but I really liked what I just saw.
with ng+ you can trade 200,000 exp for 20,000 ether crystals.

A well built Poppi Alpha and QT PI pretty much dumps on every super boss the game has to offer. Alpha is very hard to damage with 93% block rate and Ultimate Shield. Using Arts Heal V makes Tora pretty much unkillible. QT PI is just absurd, she deals so much damage than any other blade including some hard hitters like Mythra and Zenobia against uniques. Makes short work of pretty much every boss in the game.
QT doesn't do much though which is a shame, that Poppi form is easily the worst out of the three.
She looks like KOS-MOS.
Honestly I feel way too overwhelmed with poppis customizabity to get myself to grind tiger tiger and use Tora : /
It's quite a lot to process, but there are plenty of approaches that a player can take. I'm planning on optimizing her in a party setting as well!

You should run poppi qt with shadow element and orb ender that way you can do a two turn chain attack for insane damage and crit heal 1 is enough that way you can also equipe a thing on the lvl 2 art.
Crit heal 1 is enough to be honest

I tried soloing Poopy against Orion...strangely Poppy Alpha is the best one (90% block, ultimate shield, arts heal)...yes, it took quite a long time to defeat him

I can understand why people hate grinding for poppi but I didn't really mind tiger tiger that much so I have already maxed her out
You don't really need more damage, Tora can be quite THICC and tank either way but it's way more useful using Poppi QT with an Evasion Mod not another Strength Mod.
You just need her for an Elemental Orb Ender and some Blade Combos.
You also can save quite some space using some Low Level Crit Heals to get even more damage!
In Master of Chaos Mode the bosses get pretty annoying and they become Meat Shields so the more damage the better.
Still a Wild Warrior Tora is still pretty fun!
Poppi QT pi is best designed blade in game. It just sucks that you cant use her with Zeke or Morag since i never use( and i dont like) Tora at all.
I think an updated guide is in session due to NG+ making everything easier
This has nothing To do with this Video but maybe you could help me. How do I get the lv 5 key for the affinity chart from adenine? Because there is just ??? but im through the story already and dont know how I could unlock it.
You need to find the 4 tomes of morytha and then complete the merc missions that unlock when you find them, that then opens her side quest which I believe unlocks the lv 5 affinity. She needs to be in your party while you look for them. I can't remember offhand where they are but if you pull up a wiki and search tomes of morytha 1-4 you should find them no problem

there is a yt video that shows all the locations of the tomes of morytha that you need to get to access the merc quests. just look for "adenine tome of morytha" if you want exact locations

Any element is fine, and it's best to use the element that synergizes well with your team.
Fire is, in my opinion, the best alternative, due to the fact that you can be on a team with Dagas and Pyra for some spectacular blade combos!

Muscle mod. Strike mod only increases dexterity which is not that useful
You can use orb ender on qt to get l2 in chain attack.

Personally, I prefer going for HP instead of evasion due to the fact that you'll need at least 8500 HP to reliably survive some big damage hits. Since we're using critical restore, it's easy to heal it all back right after.

how are you criting all the time I keep dying while grinding against level 90+ enemies so I can reach level 99 to start killing the unique monsters but tora keeps dying because he doesn't crit heal
There are several things that you could be doing wrong
1. Not high enough of a level
2. Don't have crit. restore skill ram equipped
3. Don't have Poppi QT Pi equipped whilst fighting.
the only thing I can see here is not high of a level I have crit restore V and master muscle mod and I'm level 79 so that's the only thing
QT Pi's crit rate needs to optimally be around 40% to reliably crit heal.

I made sure that I had the deeds that let you increase the limit of pouch items (One in Argentum's hobby shop, and I believe the second one is in Tantal's Textile shop)
After that, I parked myself in Fonsa Myma and bought out all the shops and spammed A while watching an anime :P
I use the Oyster and Veggie Aspic from Lefteria which only costs about 180g and it gives you 18 trust points. You can buy them 40 at a time with max lifestyle capacity. You spend less money and get about 720 points per 40 items, much cheaper than 33 noponchos which yield 693 per run.

I just got Poppi QT pi last night. And OMG Tora is SOOOOOOOOOOO OP, I haven’t ended the game yet, until I get the DLC Game. Nevertheless QT pi is SO strong she put Rex blades to the back

If you gave Poppi QT optimal ether build, with a dark core, gave her elemental orb ender and then made her level 1 special rediculous, you would have a super easy way to get Max damage in a fight ending chain attack. It wouldn't be "soloing" with QTπ entirely, but practically it would be.

Outdoor Damage is really easy to overlook (I wouldn't have thought about it if not for commenters!), and its going to be a staple in most builds!
