@@Ewaii26 yup Wolverine Revenge came out the same week as X2 in theaters. So when I bought the game I immediately went to the movies and saw X2 for free lol.
Wow you didn't even mention mutant academy which had the costumes from the movie and was released the same year. Next dimension came out 2 years later.
As a fan of the X-Men comics since late 80s, I was thrilled when I first read about Wolverine's game on a magazine. When the game was launched in 2003, I bought the PC version only to find out my computer would not run it because I needed a gpu with transform and lighting. Btw, there wasn't a X3 for PS3 because PS3 wasn't available yet when this game was released at 1st half of 2006.
Xmen Origins is the Best Wolverine Game. I have massiv nostalgia for Wolverines Revenge, I could be wrong but i think, using action replay, allowed you to unlock the spiderman cutscene
X-Men 3 was one of my favorites simply because Nightcrawler was an actual playable character and got a decent amount of spotlight…even if Logan got most of it.
Well, I played both games and as a teenager I liked them, even despite the fact that I could not beat any of those two games, but as adult I will say that both of the games sucks. And not because I'm a hater or having a skill issue, cause I'm good at video games if those games are good for me, and I love retro video games, be it 8 bit era, 16 bit era or more modern eras, like PS1, PS2, Xbox 360 etc. But because those games are bad or unfinished. Like, X2 Wolverine's Revenge to me feels unfinished. Like, the fighting system is not satisfying, slow and broken. The level design looks empty and uninspired, and mechanics of this game doesn't work the way they should work. And at some point X2 Wolverine's Revenge just straight up becomes unplayable because of how broken it is. Sure, the idea looks good but we already have a better executed version of this idea in X-Men Origins Wolverine - Uncaged Edition. That game is amazing! Same with X-Men The Official Game. Sure, it is playable for the most part and you can get pass through few levels, but later down the line this game just because not fun to play, do to it's unsatisfying challenge. Cause it feels like it was not made to challenge you but straight up ruin your life. That is how this game feels to me. So yeah, I like it a little bit but not much to the point when I could name it as a good game. Cause, for example, I don't like the fact that Wolverine can be killed easily in this game. Like, if enemies surround you then that's it for you, and you can just put down your controller or take your hands off of your keyboard and watch the game over screen. And it is not fun. So yeah, again, the only good X-Men movie based game is, like I already said, X-Men Origins Wolverine - Uncaged Edition.
My cousin had Wolverine's Revenge on ps2 way back when and gave it to me later on. Yup the games hard. Back during the Pandamic I replayed some games this being one if them yup still tough. I got wat further than I did as a kid but got stuck somewhere after the Wendigo boss fight. Maybe I should go back and pop in the disc again. Or maybe play X-Men Legends thats a game I got during the Pandamic. Never had it as a kid. I remember seeing it but never picked it up. Perhaps I should pick back up this game too. I'm actually thinking of getting the official game now 😅 been on my back log list for awhile. Or well maybe just wait it out and get the Wolverine Game coming out in a year or so 🤔 💭💭💭
I remember buying X2 Wolverine Revenge and it came with a free movie ticket to see X2 in theaters ha.
U used it? I never believed they were real 🤣

Nice! I love finding those tickets in old games while I'm game hunting
Wolverines revenge went hard af
If Colossus was a playable character in the X-Men official game, it would’ve been so top-tier.. but imagine if Storm was also playable!
Uuuuuuuu 👀
I didn't know that this game existed I know that x men 3 game existed because I played the game 😳
Super cool video man. Thanks for the reviews!
No thank you!

Staying away from the movie lore and aesthetic is the best thing any game, comic, and show can do : D

Please review that fighting game, seeing the footage unlocked core memories of my childhood
Great vid
Why did they make X2 so scary!?
The x men official game has aged well in 2024 i would recommend it and also go back and play x men destiny
Wolverines revenge is nothing like the movies
I know, why is even Hugh jackman in the cover?
@@DomitriCervantes probably to sell more copies
