I snapped out of it and found a new lease on life. I realized I wanted to live again, and I have this song to thank me for it, that is why it is my favorite song of all time. I hope one day to preform it life whether its for 3 people or a thousand people I dont care as long as I can share the magic that this song gave to me.
Hey man.......your story isn't rare.........I'm 41 and I saw Green Day waaaaaaaaay back in the day like 4 times..........on the Insomniac Tour, Nimrod Tour, and the Warning Tour. This band has saved me so many times bro.......and this particular performance of 21 Guns is so good because it was in Japan. Those people rarely get to see big American bands like Green Day. For them it's a once in a lifetime experience......watching this always makes me cry..........such a great performance....all time!
But it's heavily altered nonetheless. There is an electric guitar in the sound that is added afterwards or prior. The real performance most likely sounded nothing like the video. Most likely the voice was also altered later in the studio. Only the shouts between singing might be real. When he says hands up etc. . And you can hear a clear difference to the singing.

they may be dick heads but they make great music get fans into the music and concerts that they play not to mention how many bands would bring fans up on stage to sing/play a song for them that's what makes them lengendy and makes up for being dick heads i cant think of ankther band that would do that
This.. is the most purest form of music. Billie live, and 21 guns live is such an amazing experience. Thank you green day for everything. You guys will never see this but thanks for making music like this. Your my favourite band and I love you guys so much. You get me through the difficult times when others can't. You make me smile in shitty times and you make me cry when I need to. So thanks Billie, Mike and Tre.

Nitzan Anavi sorry for the late answear but i hope it will happened the same to me My friends want to go every sunday to clubs and you know stuff like that but what you experienced must be a thousand times better
My grandma passed in 2007, before I was born. She played many instruments just like me and we both have a passion for music. My mom likes this song and was playing it one day and was saying how my grandma would have loved it. This song reminds me of my grandma and how much I wish I could have met her. Thank you for doing what you do, Green Day. R.I.P grandma ❤

Me too, one of my best friends used to love Green Day so i used to listen too. Now we aren't friends like in that time but this song reminds me that good times when we were childs.
I remember seeing Green Day live during my freshman year of high school at Shoreline Amphitheater in 2010. I went with a group of buddies who all played in the same punk-rock/alternative band (I was the drummer) and we did Green Day covers every so often at local venues around town. It was a big deal seeing these guys for us back when they were probably one of the biggest bands in the world at that point (mid to late 2000s). I mean they were like gods to most young adults back then.. especially for kids like us trying to start a band and be like them. The experience itself was incredible.. the vibe, the people, the craziness of it all. Looking back it was like a dream almost.. This was the first concert we were truly free of parents around so we all pregamed in the parking-lot and met some girls we went to school with. The sun set and we all found our places on the railing to see Green Day as they took the stage. I’ll never forgot what Billie Joe said to start off the concert.. “ALL OF YOU BETTER GET ON YOUR FEET! THIS AINT A FUCKING COLDPLAY CONCERT!” They ended the show with this song and it was the perfect ending to the night, everyone was singing along with arms around one another. Brothers and sisters united. Fucking amazing.
@Ryno Gaming They don’t use it during live shows but, I’m pretty sure this is from the “Awesome as Fuck” live album which sounds like some pitch correction was added in post.
This song got me through the hardest part of my life, I remember playing it as loud as I could on my electric guitar singing my heart out with tears streaming,
13 years ago, I heard this song and formed a band. It was the first song I played. I was a high school student, and I standed on the stage at school festivals. It was a wonderful day. Now I am not singing and playing guitar, but they're poster still on my wall.
Do you know what's worth fighting for When it's not worth dying for? Does it take your breath away And you feel yourself suffocating Does the pain weigh out the pride? You know it’s a good fucking band, when their live performances are close to the same as their recorded ones. Shows how truly talented all of them are. Love how there is still one band who I know will never let me down.
I agree.Thats what we would've done If we were at the concert and also GD doesn't completely stop the music but in a way so that the fans can sing along. Hurray for green day!
Wow. Oh my god. GD is killing it in live concert. You guys don’t disappoint at all. I saw you in concert at Arizona State Fair in 1995 and was super impressed then and now I’m this concert. Keep it up. I am reliving your live talent now that I have retired from 24 years of service. Thank you for your support.
DiscoDoctor I think green day just have too many styles to pinpoint the exact type of punk they are or even the exact genre they are , they’re just extremely diverse and the forefathers of many other punk bands.
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever listened to or watched. I had never seen this video before now. Stunning performance, incredible vocals, amazing stage presence and show, perfect song. I can't even sum it up. So much more to say, but no words. I sound cringey, but honestly speechless. I'm still crying. sad and happy tears 💙
Yeah i played a song from avicii and my little brother said to me: do you still listen to that song, its like 5 years old. People don't care about the song today just the new hip thing, so disapointing
After all these years, after my teenage years, after such pain and struggling. Even as an adult, I still return to listen this. I'm really glad Green Days is part of my younger days.
Oh yes Japanese audience have one of the best participations in concerts ♡ I've been in one and it felt so amazing everyone just synced and go with the flow :))
James Pirner I sense that it is because Japan is a country on this Earth, located to the east of Korea and several thousand miles west of North America.
There are anthems, ..., AND THEN THERE IS THIS ANTHEM. 65yo and have had a pretty crazy life but when even my friends were closing the curtain on me, GREN DAY came thru, over and over-THAN YOU! SCREW the doubters!
It's really depressing when you know that basically no one in your school has the same music taste as you. You can't really share any music with them or talk about the same amazing bands like Green Day. Sometimes I wish Green Day was mainstream again, but sadly there's nothing I can do about it, and till then I walk alone.
Green Day, Foo Fighters, RHCP, GnR and AC/DC are honestly the last survivors of good rock. As a matter of fact, I dont even know if rock still exists other than These guys. Still wish Kurt was alive. He never wanted to be mainstream. All he had to do was wait a few more years till shitty rap, pop and electronic music took over
@The Senate So you like dubstep? Good for you. I actually like the modern mainstream music too, but it's just corny. Also, I don't know what dubstep is so I guess you're right. Hope you understand.
The Senate yes I totally agree I hate limiting myself to one genre I like experimention and change (as long it’s done in a good way and not trying sell out) sorry I can’t spell very well!
Live is the most beautiful way of showing their emotions because they care for their audience. and then the harmony, both the band and the crowd. Good on them :)
I am 13 years old, I started guitar when I was 9 and since then everypne has told me I'm a natural. I know how to play lots of GD songs and my dream is to one day play a song with them. it's impossible but it's fun to dream and to do the imposible ;')
hey, If i were to ask you to play last of us theme song, how much time will you take to learn it? just asking, I also play guitar, I wanted to know that if i am the only one who sucks at learning guitar
This give me chills...the song just aged so well like a fine wine,it just gets better and better ...gosh how much i idolize billie joe armstrong and green day back in the days
this song is awesome,,but now in out our home..the ssuper corona ''it's ''all readdy..attack the world..ok im indonesia..please see my chennel on you tube ,,klik moel van hellen ''melody gabrugan''ok thank's
I get so angry, these guys are my favorite band. I loved them since I was young, like 5 or 6 (I am 15). Ever since it's been a huge dream of mine for them to come to my city. I live in Western Canada and it seems when ever they go on a tour, it's always, the States, Europe and/or Eastern Canada. If they ever do come to my part of Canada, I can finally say I will die a happy man. It's the number 1 thing on my bucket list.
Don't worry man, i live in Indonesia, and the first time they came here was in 1996 and that time i wasn't even born, and i dont think they're ever gonna come here again, so probably thats the first and the last time.
For me, it's just one of the best eras of music during the time of greenday. Most bands actually have meaningful and can touch every soul of its listeners. So nostalgic

Me too, one of my best friends used to love Green Day so i used to listen too. Now we aren't friends like in that time but this song reminds me that good times when we were childs.
A lot song's like this makes me feel nostalgic and sad.
You know a song is a classic when it stays relevant over a decade after it was released.
Damn I could feel all your writing
Green Day's live concerts sound better than any other musicians. It sounds exactly like the album
+Camren Gandee not any other but yea there pretty good live, listen to linkin park live monterrey 2012
Listen to avenged sevenfold live at the lbc it sounds the same in the albums as well
+Xx_Dipper pines_xX I like live in the lbc better than their studio versions
+Searose101 yea they sound way better live

And a lot of drugs!xD
Now this is MUSIC! please don’t let this music die off!
We won’t. Well, WE won’t. ❤
Why did I cry so much?❤
Please take me back to the first time I heard this song 11 years ago..
Vanessa Caillet if i may ask how old are you right now im 14 and heard this song 4 years ago and it made me cry also

probably in my top 5 favorite bands of all time. and that live version just confirmed that to me. his voice is incredible.
This is best live of GREEN DAY ever!!
This is my brother's favorite band the reason why I also love this band. But now he's gone and I'm the only one listening to this 😭 I miss him 😭😭
This song got me through the hardest part of my life, I remember playing it as loud as I could on my electric guitar singing my heart out with tears streaming,
kenneth monaghan that's beautiful

This era is over but its hard to let go rip
So sad
This era will never be over...
It's just not as mainstream anymore, there are still many great rock bands out there.
Its not over its gonna be on forever
They always come back harder
13 years ago, I heard this song and formed a band. It was the first song I played. I was a high school student, and I standed on the stage at school festivals. It was a wonderful day. Now I am not singing and playing guitar, but they're poster still on my wall.
I wish I was already a fan in that period. they're the best band ever
twenty øne blurryfaces I agree
twenty øne blurryfaces
he died??
ASMR pro no, but that was the best period for the band
had already been*
definitly not, the best period was before 2005
Do you know what's worth fighting for
When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take your breath away
And you feel yourself suffocating
Does the pain weigh out the pride?
And you look for a place to hide
Did someone break your heart inside
You're in ruins
One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I...
When you're at the end of the road
And you lost all sense of control
And your thoughts have taken their toll
When your mind breaks the spirit of your soul
Your faith walks on broken glass
And the hangover doesn't pass
Nothing's ever built to last
You're in ruins
One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I...
Did you try to live on your own
When you burned down the house and home
Did you stand too close to the fire?
Like a liar looking for forgiveness from a stone
When it's time to live and let die
And you can't get another try
Something inside this heart has died
You're in ruins
One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
One, 21 Guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 Guns
Throw up your arms into the sky
You and I

Это конечно круто но лучше бы дал гитарный бой.
Well Live doesn't have "When It's Time To Live & Let Die"
But still convenient to have non the less, thanks.
Savage
The sound of the audience singing together gave me chills. It's amazing what just one well written song can do to bring people together.
Green day is just so good that their live version is just as good as their studio version. The best band of the 2000s change my mind
No reason to.
Technically they're from the freaking 80's but yeah, I agree!!
@@_Iss early 90's
"Change my mind". Nah, that's okay. I don't think they're one of the best bands, but if you think so, that's cool. Lol
It sounds quite emotional.
You know it’s a good fucking band, when their live performances are close to the same as their recorded ones. Shows how truly talented all of them are. Love how there is still one band who I know will never let me down.
Sounds just like on the album, what a great live performance is this!!
I been watching this video on TH-cam for about 10 years now and every time it makes feel like I’m listening to it for the first time
I carn't even put into words how much I actually love green day, don't believe it's been almost 40 years!
Since what? They were little children?
IfTheApocalypseComes BeepMe yep obviously 😂😂😂 no I think I was meant to put 20
+charlotte leigh 28*
Yeah! It's the best band that ever created! Lyrics and music are so enjoyable!! Plus, Billy J. Armrostong has perfect voice!
+charlotte leigh i dont think anyone can even name a bad song by them.
they are too amazing
Imagine a world without green day that would be horrible.
the world needs them❤️
No we need Michael Jackson Too
It keeps getting better! 📈
his voice is just perfect in this whole concert
Who's saving money to see them live on their next tour when this pandemic is over?
Kyle Tris wait they still tour!?
@@karentaylor6301 Yes. Wait for their next album.
Revolution radio was goood
me too
The second tickets go on sale I’m buying them. I saw Green Day twice during the Rev Rad Tour and both times were unforgettable performances.
is it only me that absolutely love fans singing? it sound soooo beautiful
I agree.Thats what we would've done If we were at the concert
and also GD doesn't completely stop the music but in a way so that the fans can sing along.
Hurray for green day!
Rahul Abhishek THEY GO LIVE MORE AWSM THAN THEIR RECORDINGS SOMETIMES................ PUNKS NOT DEAD!!
I just liked your comment and now you have 21 likes. :)
Wow. Oh my god. GD is killing it in live concert. You guys don’t disappoint at all. I saw you in concert at Arizona State Fair in 1995 and was super impressed then and now I’m this concert. Keep it up. I am reliving your live talent now that I have retired from 24 years of service. Thank you for your support.
The kind of concert I would spend my money for
Do it if you ever get the chance. Life changing.
If you like Bon Jovi, he has an amazing live show
Michael Jackson and Chris Brown. 💯

Yeah speaking of I might have spent my whole paycheck on hella mega tour tickets just to see 3 of my favorite bands lol
Billie’s voice is just sooo ❤️
october 2019 PUNK ROCK Never dead, PUNK FOREVER
I don't think that this is punk rock. It's more like pop punk but what ever you are right punk never die
This song is a rock ballad.
@@discodoctor4786 can be generalized as Alt. Rock.
DiscoDoctor I think green day just have too many styles to pinpoint the exact type of punk they are or even the exact genre they are , they’re just extremely diverse and the forefathers of many other punk bands.
DiscoDoctor bri this song is more of alternate rock or soft rock its not pop punk thats something else
Beautiful lyrics. Hope I can see it live one day. ❤
I really love the way Billie shout “21 guns~!” in the end part of the song.
He actually yelled "Tokyo!" emmaroberts38.
@Mike Lozano check out my acoustic cover of this song
@@littlebit824 i think they meant at 4:52 not the very end
@@littlebit824 or 5:24
This is probably one of my favorite Green Day performances, it shows how truly talented they are
this song is so much better live, all the effects on Billie's voice in the studio version really doesn't let his full voice out
yeah i like the studio version but it sounds a little too surpressed and not his natural voice
Can't describe how much I'd have loved to have seen this for real.
This video will be on repeat for a very long time.
he has the most amazing voice!!! BEST band ever!
I've always think Mike is playing the most special part of the show, being both an audience and a performer who enjoys Billie's voice the most 💚
I don't care about the date still this song is the best
Yeah i played a song from avicii and my little brother said to me: do you still listen to that song, its like 5 years old. People don't care about the song today just the new hip thing, so disapointing
absurdpizza 7818 especially now the blink 182 decided to make a dumbass decision to tour with lil Wayne

After all these years, after my teenage years, after such pain and struggling. Even as an adult, I still return to listen this.
I'm really glad Green Days is part of my younger days.
I miss this Green Day. I hope Bang Bang is like this Green Day.
Yeah
Bang Bang is going to sound like Dookie 🎉🎊

Did you like it?? ;)
Javier0408 yes. Although, some of the lyrics seem kinda off, but the style is definitely back.
fact: TH-cam didn't recommend this, you searched for it.

hello man one month ago
This was....actually..amazing. loved the audience participation for once.
Oh yes Japanese audience have one of the best participations in concerts ♡ I've been in one and it felt so amazing everyone just synced and go with the flow :))
I actually like Green Day's live performances and this is coming from a guy who loves the 70s and 80s rockers like Rush, The Who, and Cream.
YOU GET ME
SOMEONE THAT GETS IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
+JTH THE GREAT Japan. It says so on the video's description.
+Shadownet sense when is Japan a real place?
James Pirner I sense that it is because Japan is a country on this Earth, located to the east of Korea and several thousand miles west of North America.
The real singers are them, singing with deep meaning in its rhythm. Respect for this song of peace

Exactly 😢
@Ashley15 mcr is still great though

Green Day, Foo Fighters, RHCP, GnR and AC/DC are honestly the last survivors of good rock. As a matter of fact, I dont even know if rock still exists other than These guys. Still wish Kurt was alive. He never wanted to be mainstream. All he had to do was wait a few more years till shitty rap, pop and electronic music took over
@The Senate Yeah, but you see, he likes rock and you like electronic so let him be. *(just saying)*
@The Senate So you like dubstep? Good for you. I actually like the modern mainstream music too, but it's just corny. Also, I don't know what dubstep is so I guess you're right. Hope you understand.
A7X ?
The Senate yes I totally agree I hate limiting myself to one genre I like experimention and change (as long it’s done in a good way and not trying sell out) sorry I can’t spell very well!
If he didn't wanted then why did he come??
Live is the most beautiful way of showing their emotions because they care for their audience. and then the harmony, both the band and the crowd. Good on them :)
this literally gave me chills and brought me to tears
Such a beautiful song. It's crazy how music can transport you it time.
Yes
Closest we have to a time machine
This performance is over 20 years since they formed, no backing tracks or prerecorded audio, and they sound amazing as ever
Excellent. So true.

PillsburyDopeBoy same here man😢😥.i know them when i m 7 years old.today im 14 years old....
Don't worry man, i live in Indonesia, and the first time they came here was in 1996 and that time i wasn't even born, and i dont think they're ever gonna come here again, so probably thats the first and the last time.
Im from Toronto, and im 14. If they have a 25yr Dookie Tour ill be there
For me, it's just one of the best eras of music during the time of greenday. Most bands actually have meaningful and can touch every soul of its listeners. So nostalgic
