PSC XD Gearbox REVIEW on the Rubicon Trail No Ram Assist and running stock PS pump.

I just installed the PSC XD gearbox without the high pressure power steering pump or the ram assist and drove it on the Rubicon Trail to compare it before and after the install.

Nice video brother. Man i want to do the rubicon BOH. :) So i have been running the Bigbore XD2 for about a year and a half now with all stock pump and lines and the only issues I've had is the stock ATF4 heating up under load which the stock lines and orings dont like. (3 times ive had leaks now after long back country trips).
I really don't want to carry a specific fluid so im going to install a Derale inline cooler (using Apex's install method). It's similar to what PSCs cooler solution is.
Hopefully this cooling and increse in capacity will allow me to stick with carrying a single fluid into the backcountry with the added benefit of also being able to repair any return line issues with standard hoses and clamps.

I just recently purchased the PSC Big Bore XD2 steering box and was hoping I would not have to spend the $1250 for the PSC power steering pump kit. This review addressed most of my concerns. THX.

Have you seen the Apex kit? You can keep the fluid cooler and also dial up the pressure 40%. Should get you 90% of the way there to hydro assist.

How does it do with front lockers

Not as good especially with low tire pressure. I’m considering buying bigger power steering pump and reservoir.
