my favorite thing about this channel is that it's like reverse clickbait. the titles and thumbnails make you think this might be your run of the mill youtube video where they're just reading a wikipedia article, and then surprises you by actually being an in-depth and well-researched recounting of events by an educated person and a great narrator. keep up the good work ewu crew!
To be fair - his Titles are still clickbait lol. Like he clearly doesn’t care *that* much about separating himself from other clickbait true crime TH-camrs - like he could simply not keep making clickbait titles, but he does:0
@@Spidey1996 I totally agree! another thing I love about their channel is that they don't tell the same popular crime stories you hear every other channel talk about. They actually tell crime stories that deserve more attention. We've heard about Ted bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer a million times. it gets old seeing everyone post the same story so it's refreshing when a good channel gives you something different!
The girl who stalked Molly's social media for Josh should be charged with something as well! This is why you should never post were you are especially if you have someone who your afraid of!!!!!!
Friendly reminder to ALWAYS lock your doors as soon as you get into your vehicle and be alert to your surroundings when out and about alone, especially if you are aware that a dangerous individual is stalking you. The police failed this poor girl so miserably.
@Chris Shaffer did you even watch the video? She and his previous gf reported his alarming actions to the police multiple times and they never even so much as took a fucking statement.
@Chris Shaffer previous girlfriend called the police on him three times to report his behavior and there were absolutely no formal reports made by police. If they had actually cared and taken statements from her, it would have established a pattern of behavior and when Molly called about him later they would be able to see "ah he has a history of DV, we should take this seriously and do something before he kills her." but they didn't and now she's gone forever.
And this is why some people will never understand why it’s not easy “to just leave”. That’s the most dangerous time when your abuser feels like they have nothing to lose and don’t have control anymore.
Ive known a lot of people in at least emotionally abusing relationships of all kinds and I have seen the "maybe they aren't as bad" "maybe I am exaggerating" phase so many times. Manipulation is a lot more damaging then a lot of people realise.
Absolutely, even being so meticulous and having help and even being around people to make sure you're OK it can just take one time to be alone and thats it, police need to do better in dv cases
What are you supposed to do? Change your name & move states every time you break off with someone? You may not even know the person that can be stalking you.
Explaining the psychology of abusers, how they isolate their victims, the warning signs of controlling behaviours may well help other women being abused recognise these signs. Before it's too late. Great work. Responsible true crime. Keep up the good work! 👏
@@eddiebingbong7977 Very true. Not just women experience this abuse and control, men are abused by women too - but overwhelmingly women are the victims. As in the cases just described.
@@katehack1677 Not neccesarily, crimes against women are just the ones you will hear about more often. However, studies show that women are actually more likely to initiate acts of violence and use a combination of both psycological and verbal abuse moreso than men in domestic situations. The big differences are: A. This behavior goes largely unreported by men who feel ashamed or embarrassed likely due to the stigma of a man being bullied by a female B. When it does get reported, the men are often mocked and noone cares because domestic violence is only taken seriosuly when men are the perpetrators (similiar phenomenom occurs in sexual assault cases). Women hit more; men do more damage. C.Gender/age power dynamics play a huge societal role here. Women are considered the weaker sex so unless they abuse a child or elderly person, someone viewed as "weaker" than them, abuse towards a male counterpart is never seen as threatening or taken as seriously. When a "hot" female teacher sexually assaults a teenage boy there is never the same outcry as in the reverse scenario. I've seen stories of women castrating their cheating husbands and nothing but positive comments cheering her on as some form of "girl power." Turn on any sitcom in the past 25 years (King of Queens/ Everybody Loves Raymond) where the wife belittles, mocks, or outrights beats their bumbling idiot of a husband for cheap laughs and it's all perfectly accepted.
@@AetherArcane to add to b, in the event things are reported there is still times that the male is charged. pushing back is seen as the crime and not the initial attack.
Hi mate As someone that was in an abusive relationship (my gf abused me) that shite about women being more likely to abuse lads is absolute rubbish It happens but it’s definitely more the other way
when the raven stops narrating + goes, "WAIT... WHAT?" you know the twist is going to get wild. thank you guys for the hard work you put into these + for not glorifying the gore n violence parts. i love when you give backstories to the victims bc even though they met tragic ends, they were all people who had a lot more to offer the world than just a true crime headline. rest in peace to all of them

@@fastlane1776 Sadly here in 🇬🇧 when they say “Life” it’s not like 🇺🇸 where “Life mean’s LIFE!” We have a thing called “Life Order” which does mean Life in Jail with no parole, that’s only been given to about 10 people EVER! Last week 1 was given to a Man who stabbed to death a MP (a MP is our equivalent to someone in Senate but our’s is called Parliament) & you think that’s bad ie our Sentences, it was only about 5yrs ago when the Queen went to Parliament to change many Laws. One being that before that if you got 26yrs like the Man got your sentence’s was automatically HALVED for all Crimes, so he would only have to do 13yrs NOT 26! People got away with Murder literally, we had double Jeopardy but not anymore look up the Stephen Lawrence case/murder his killer’s were finally jailed due to this! He was killed for simply being Black at a Bus Stop by 4-5 white supremacists, 1 whose Dad was a Met Cop ie the London Police & the ENTIRE Cop’s working his Murder destroyed Evidence, Paper Work & Lied! They was found not guilty in the 90’s but they was re-trailed due to the above coming out & about the racist police department too (that we still have) so about 2010 they were FINALLY found Guilty!! You get more time selling WEED then a Paedophile even Killer’s at times 🙄 our system is fu*ked & racist like our Government, if you broke lockdown rules it was a £10,000 fine even jail time but our “Leader” in April 2020 a Month into it he had a Party with MP’s taking Cocaine & on that Day 1600+ people died from COVID & they had many Parties too. But when a Vigil was held for a Woman that was kidnapped (he told her she broke the COVID law) by a Met Cop who ra*ed, killed, dismembered & burned her Body last year. A Woman’s Charity held it & the same Cop’s ie Dept slammed Women to the floor & arrested them for peacefully praying & even fined the Woman’s Abuse Charity over £300,000 but due to the outrage from the Viral Videos etc they didn’t in the end but 🇬🇧 GOVT can break their own Law within 1 Month of it & Lockdown! The Cop got a Life Order for killing Sarah…Welcome to the REAL 🇬🇧😩🤦🏽♀️🤣🙏🏾💜
The hope I had for Ashtan when it said he was found still alive 😭 I'm so glad he made it and recovered. I'm so heartbroken for the two little boys who lost their lives. I hope that the family is able to heal after such a horrible thing 🙏🏻

Please be vigilante in parking lots, people! Lock your doors when you get in and don't linger, put your phone away so it doesn't distract you while driving and unless you have a hands-free option don't use your phone until you're safely inside somewhere.
Carry a gun or pepper spray & always lock your door when you get in your car. Crime only needs opportunity & someone they perceive that won’t fight back.
If police acted on every report, there would be men imprisoned just for existing and not being liked. As in, it could be abused to incriminate innocent people. What could the police even do? If they assigned an undercover cop to also walk nearby, and they caught the guy stalking, what would the punishment be? And what would he do after the punishment is done? If you could convict people for things they could *maybe* do, it would be the most abused law. Probably, the only actual thing that would work is having a guard dog 24/7...
@@Kuzka_ don't open your mouth if all you're capable of is spouting a paragraph of sheer stupidity, holy shit detaining, fines, restraining orders, or other measures could have easily been taken, especially with the proof they had, even if it didn't work and he killed her anyway, it would have been more defensible than doing fuck all
I agree that she should be charged as an accomplice due to her actions being nefarious, however, people need to be smarter about their SM activity. Make your profile private, don't share your location and only accept friend requests from people you actually know. I also block people I don't know who send me requests and I block exs that I refuse to continue a friendship after the fact with. Anthony had a history thru his ex and some friends who knew he was a mental case. I wish he could have been charged with stalking before the Mrdr happened. Or a protection order in place.
My son was robbed while he was coming from the university. They took his cell phone, wallet, laptop and passport . Police did nothing rather told him to take a different way. I was so angry and frustrated by their actions. Guess what just after a week a student was brutally murdered on the same lane and cctv footage showed that few men were trying to rob him and he was not willing to give them his stuff and they stabbed him 37 times, took everything from him then kicked him multiple times and fled the area. After that police gave a statement that they are sorry for the loss of the family and … on and on . I wish they took my son’s complaint seriously then this poor guy wouldn’t even have to die so brutally and untimely.
This is so sad. I’m glad your son is ok physically, but I imagine he has mental anguish from being robbed. There are certain jobs you should not take if you aren’t the kind of person to put in serious effort.. police, nurses, teachers, etc. Those jobs are too important to put in minimal effort.
@Alex A I don't think it's possible in Canada . But filing lawsuits against COP is a very lengthy time and money consuming process. Also there are very few lawyers who are doing this kind of stuff. And on top of that I will not do anything about it unless the family comes to me and asks for helping them.
Do you think that half ass officer can show some actual interest now that a young man has been brutally murdered? The fact he seem to dismiss the severity of the crime at the time your son was trying to file his report. Isn't just pathetic its unacceptable. Lets all pray that while the murderers were so focused on leaving nothing of value behind. That there's at least one dependable eye witness, that can give a reliable detailed description of one or more of the murderers to a sketch artist. Maybe someone will recognize any of the vicious murderers, or better yet one of the entitled thugs actually experience a conscience. I'll be praying and sending good vibes in hope that your son's PTSD and your new constant concern for his well being will be minimal.
Really, how is it that the cops no information about Joshua even after the first woman he stalked? She made three reports against him, three! And yet when molly tried to make a report there was no record to go off of to take necessary precautions to help molly feel safe but to just block him , I swear some cops just don't care.
It truly is so sad that law enforcement doesn't take stalking or harassment of an ex more seriously. Imagine how many lives it could have saved in the past and how many it would save in the future if these complaints would be taken more serious!
My ex husband used to tell me as he held his loaded .357 magnum to my head, "I don't care if I fry, I'll die happy knowing you're already dead and I got to watch you take your last breath." That's what I always think of when these losers surrender so calmly. He got what he wanted - he took her life and made sure she'd never be happy again, never be free to find love beyond himself.

@@liceafilms nah I disagree, those people that you think made the channel better were in my opinion didn't make videos that were as good. They had a totally different type of videos that they did, they were more about going to actual places where they looked at the scenes where people went missing at or where crimes were committed but I thought they just weren't entertaining and were kinda weird. They also were into like going to haunted houses and other places that were known for supernatural type things but just had a way of presenting their content that I didn't really find that good. They would repeat the same thing over and over and not really have an entertaining way of being able to make their videos, but this is just my personal opinion. They just didn't seem as much of a serious like true crime channel in the way that these stories are told with the narrative type style like this video and they had more of like a bit of a style that was more about the destination where things had happened at so really they are kinda like different channels from each other but I'm pretty sure that the guy and the girl that do those videos that your talking about do still make Content and are EWU crew but this channel is EWU crew storytime and their content is under just EWU crew or something like that.
I’m so tired of the police/courts doing NOTHING until we’re dead! Stalking is a serious crime & should be treated as such! I literally moved to another country after my ex beat me up & then stalked me because nobody was doing a damn thing about it. I almost died several times & am grateful to be alive no thanks to the police/courts. This poor girls death was totally preventable & if I were her parents I would file a wrongful death suit against the police for negligence when it came to Josh’s ex girlfriend & her prior reports. I get so emotional watching these stories. She’d be alive if they took his ex seriously & imposed jail time on him at that time. There’s so many nut bags out there. I hope everyone reading this stays safe ❤️
@@curiouser-and-curiouser Ok so unsure if you have a reading/comprehension issue or what. I literally said “I’m tired of the police/COURTS doing nothing until we’re dead”… I personally couldn’t get a CPO because it would’ve put me in even more danger as my abuser had no idea where I moved to & in order to get a CPO they would have had to provide that address to him so he “knew where to stay away from”. Which is bullshit. Also, a piece of paper doesn’t stop psychopaths. Do you know how many women die at the hands of their abusers with a CPO in place? Do you know how little time they get if they do violate the order? Talk about looking things up… here’s some stats for ya… 76% of female murder victims & 85% of female attempted murder victims were stalked by their abuser prior to having/almost having their lives taken. So yeah, take that garbage somewhere else. Nobody is talking about “mean posts on social media”… that’s not stalking… I literally uprooted at 3am & haven’t had any contact with family/friends since I left in order to preserve mine & my child’s life/safety. I was beat up while pregnant, nose broke, cigarette put out in my back, thrown down a flight of stairs, etc… my blood was smeared all over my abusers wall but when the cops showed up, his mom said they had the wrong house & the case was dropped. No further investigation. He walked free & continued to stalk me until I said enough is enough & fled. I shouldn’t have to live like this. He should have been held accountable for his actions & been in prison for attempted murder on myself & an unborn.
@Nikki Lauren You literally just said “No” & then agreed with me & reiterated majority of what I just said but in your own words… so I’m confused? 😅 I’m saying if the cops AND the courts took stalking seriously, they would both be alive & safe. They don’t take it seriously as it currently stands. Especially with the measly jail sentences they currently impose with these kinds of charges. Which is why people continue to get away with it until he turns fatal. I stated in my 2nd comment psychopaths don’t abide by restraining orders. That’s exactly why I moved out of the country to get away from mine.
@Nikki Lauren You’re saying “she would have died period” based on how we CURRENTLY handle stalking in the US. I agree with that. I never said how the US currently handles stalking would’ve prevented any of this? I didn’t say the restraining order or a measly jail sentence would’ve prevented her death? I’m saying, if the police & courts took stalking seriously & put other laws & programs in place, it would prevent more of these deaths from happening. As it CURRENTLY stands, they don’t. That’s why we continue to see this happening again & again. That’s why her parents should file a wrongful death suit. Because her death was preventable IF the US did better as a society to protect people from stalkers. Stalking is a public health problem. Look at the stats I posted in my 2nd comment on the thread. Do you think that’s ok?? The percentage of women who were stalked before they were murdered is extremely high because stalking is not taken seriously. Other countries treat stalking similar to the way we do sex offenders. They understand that stalking & psychopathy go hand in hand in most cases, which means rehabilitation isn’t possible & reoffending is almost guaranteed. Their police & court systems do treat stalking very seriously. They impose harsher punishments/sentences, make them register on a stalking registry which alerts any potential future victims. Prohibits them from using social media, etc… They’re also monitored after release & have conditions to abide by. Nothing is a guarantee, obviously, but it makes it a lot harder for them to get to the point where they are able to take a life. The stats prove that. In the US, victims are just handed over to these predators on a silver platter even after reporting it. Why should the victims have to live in fear & ultimately turn into sitting ducks because our judicial system is a travesty? You said she should have hired a hitman… that’s not really realistic unless you want to be the one in prison? Which proves the point even further that the US doesn’t take stalking seriously enough for that to be your primary resolution. Why should we have to risk our freedom & ultimately give it up in order to protect ourselves? I stated that the police/court system does nothing til we’re dead. I don’t see any disagreement from you on that. I think the only disagreement you have to the points I made is based on a misunderstanding with you thinking I was stating her death was preventable under the current way the US handles stalking, but that’s not what I was saying.
@@laceyjade9834 I think you're just mainly upset because someone else isn't fixing the problem for you. At a certain point laws are but a minor inconvenience for some of these monsters, at the end of the day it is your responsibility to protect yourself. If I lived in the U.S I'd definitely have a concealed carry permit.
@@zxczxczxc7240 You’re damn right I’m upset that “someone else” (the cops & court system, you know the ones put in place to uphold the law) isn’t fixing the issue & allowing a known criminal to wreak havoc on innocent women. Who wouldn’t be upset about that? I got beat within an inch of my life while pregnant. At that point he should’ve been in prison. The law should’ve been a MAJOR inconvenience to him after he broke it. Unsure if you missed the part that I uprooted my entire life & moved to a different country to protect myself (something I shouldn’t have had to do). I’ve always carried. I slept with a knife & pistol under my pillow until I became a mom & then I couldn’t just have weapons lying around accessible. It also doesn’t matter if I have a weapon for protection. When someone’s stalking you & catches you blindsided, that weapons not going to help you. I shouldn’t have had to do any of what I did. I should’ve been able to stay in my home knowing I was safe, with him locked away. However, I didn’t have that luxury. So I made sure myself & my child were safe by any means necessary. It’s so strange to see people literally arguing over this. Eff me for wanting women to be safe from predatory men I guess… 👀🤔😅
I'm really loving this channel! The narrator is excellent, the psychological assessments seem to be dead on accurate, and the pacing is never boring or needless information.
No? Why would they??? Even if he had a restraining order against him, there's no crime against viewing what other people post on the Internet. If the other person was messaging her or posting things about her on his behalf then they could technically be harrasing her but looking at things that are freely posted onto the Internet(excluding illegal streaming paid content as its not freely posted) is not criminal and its strange to ask that.
no, she isn''t culpable for aiding/abetting a crime that she is unaware of, even more so if she's lied to or otherwise misled. imagine that slippery legal slope. suddenly people are getting charged because they politely held the door open for someone who promptly shoots everyone in the building.
Something I always worried about as a kid who witnessed domestic violence on my mom by my stepdad. Will he kill her one day? That last case reminds me of a man who broke into his ex gfs house in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was angry the gf broke up with him. So he broke in and shot all her children when they came home later on. She was the only survivor. My heart will always ache for the innocent people taken by domestic abusers.
QUESTION: Do stalkers stop on their own? I had a stalker that was an ex. He did all sorts of crazy things; hacking my phone account, contacting people who know me, sending fake things to my family, etc. Then he was just gone one day. I haven't heard from since. I'm still nervous and I keep an eye over my shoulder.
I had a similar case with an ex girlfriend. I was so stressed being with her...only because she was showing signs of being controlling. Wanting to see my phone, calling me late at night to check to see what I was doing, etc. So I ended it with her. She didn't take that well 😅Well I got lots of messages for about 2 weeks...I kindly asked her in the end to please leave me alone. She got one of her guy friends to stalk me, trying to add me on social media, and then the both of them would constantly create new accounts to add me. I'd get phone calls from unknown numbers at work with threats. I got the police involved but they couldn't do much. It lasted a good 3 weeks before they stopped with the harassments. But to this day, I have a slight fear that she could take it to another level. I don't wish that towards anyone, no one deserves to always be looking over their shoulder in fear.
I love these videos so much and get so immersed into the case's. I personally find all these so much better than interrogation analysis. I totally respect that people love those analysis breakdowns I just hope you don't ever stop doing these types of coverage that you've done since starting true crime cases. It's what really captivated me by your channel as well as your older exploration and finding out about unknown situations type stuff y'all once did. I really appreciate the content you guys make. It really is so unique and good quality.
I love how descriptive this channel is, and how they pick apart the psychology of individuals involved in each case. And also by explaining different mental health disorders and signs of abuse without falling into popularized stigmas.
This is the first time a true crime video mentions a case that happened in my neighborhood... I used to live in South Toledo at the time, and I remember the police swarming at the apartment complex next to ours. It happened just a few months after the Braylen Noble murder, and our whole community was furious that something like this can happen. I hope the people responsible get what the, deserve in both cases.

@@winnieasara301 Yes. It would be their job to check if it happens, punish the stalker, and then after a while sentencing said stalker for life, because the first punishment is not going to stop retaliatory attack (or could actually cause it). We can't have harsh preventive laws. They could be abused to sentence innocent people, or subject them to be publicly cancelled.
I had almost the exact experience but I didn’t let it get this far. The boy has BPD, OCD, tons of anxiety disorders, depression, and has been institutionalized like 2 times. I didn’t even go on the first date because I didn’t feel right about it and after I called it off, he started stalking me. trust your instincts people. He always used his mental health as an excuse and always had some ploy to manipulate the emotions of those around him.
I have a similar diagnosis, along with a few other labels and a lot of them stem from childhood abuse and trauma- BUT- I don’t let that diagnosis become an excuse for not getting help or taking responsibility for my actions. Having mental health issues is never an excuse for bad behavior. Also, stalking is never okay. 😅 I’m glad you’re safe though, sounds like he needs some help.
@@Mckinley-mick same. And I am an established woman and mom, not crazy nor a killer and I’m able to be present with my behavior and thoughts and I’m working on myself always.
It’s always aggravating when cops fail to take actions that could prevent a murder. But in the first crime, what could the cops do when he was just leaving mean messages on social media? Honest question. Idk what they are legally allowed to do until he takes the step of physically stalking her (which he did do eventually).
No, stalking doesnt jsut apply in person. They could of charged him with harassment and gsve him a restraining order that banned him contacting her or her family in person, through others and through social media aswell as banning him from being physically within a certain distance of her
Its not that easy to obtain a TPO. You have to be specific and detailed. Plus all prior police reports and complaints. Submit everything he had written. Its up to a judge to decide if its enough for one before signing it. They are usually not worth the paper they are written on. Many attacks have taken place while an order is filed with the courts. Unfortunately. Police can't do anything until the victim is assaulted or worse. When violating a TPO . They are out again within 48 hours.
police dont have time for bullshit like that. if she wouldnt have been acting like a whore then she wouldnt have gotten killed. its as simple as that. girls evilness with seeking attention is what makes a man snap and kill them. its crazy but i can picture thats why a guy would snap
@Jodi A lol what? a key component of why stalking is dangerous is the "in person" component, otherwise its not even really stalking, if you found out you had a stalker on the other side of the world it would be at worst a nuisance
How can any court not give life or death when you take a innocent persons life. It's horrible 32 and out of jail. RIP Annie my heart goes out to her family and friends. And the same 4 the other stories family and friends RIP 2 all.
Unfortunately some people think if you murder an innocent person with no valid excuse like self defense then you still deserve to live and maybe not even get a life sentence :/
Typically that’s what it’s like in the U.S. you get charged with collusion which means you’re equally responsible for all crimes the other person did. Like if a group robs a bank and 1 kills the security guard, the whole group is getting charged with murder

That poor mother from the last case! I believe her when she says there wasn't any previous violence in the relationship. To paraphrase Dr. Laura Richards, founder of Paladin, a foundation for victims of stalking in the UK, as well as a tireless advocate for stricter laws against domestic violence, and a criminal behavioral analyst for Scotland Yard, ~30% of all domestic violence homicides are not proceeded by any overt acts of physical violence (Killer in the Family -available on Apple TV and Tubi, I believe). What a terrible tragedy.
So you would bring a man with multiple convictions in his past including one for domestic violence - strangling, who had been capable of extreme violence in the past around your children? If she didn't know, she should have, not hard to do a check on people these days. It was her job to protect those children, she brought the wolf into the lions den, so tired of seeing women put a relationship with a man above the welfare of their children.
@@_Y.Not_ even if you do blame her, there's a time a place for that. While she is grieving the loss of her children, trying to get one healed and out of the hospital, and likely feeling an incomprehensible amount of guilt already is not the time. Why are people who are reported not put into a "high risk" system?? That could literally save someone's life. When the girl called the police and they said he had no record, THAT could have been enough to flag him. Justice isn't just blind, she turns her head so she can't be blamed for the outcome.

The 1st case is eerily 2 close 2 my own situation. Luckily I got out but was almost killed 3x n the cops were never a huge help. I am actually shocked I am alive! I am extremely blessed!! I'm so sorry 4 all the victims n families in these cases. ✌❤

It's so sad to hear about the case of Molly McLaren who was so beautiful. It tells you that trying to meet a nice decent person on these singles apps isn't possible and I would not advise any young girl to go on these singles sites. My heart goes out to Molly's family and any family who went through with the McLarens family went through and my hope is that young people will try to steer clear of these sites and always trust in your family as they are always going to be on your side and always think of your safety first because nobody will love you more than your family, peace !
It's so sad when you hear of case's where the individual victim only experienced one serious relationship. Or a kid experiencing the first time riding their bike own their own without their parents, and naturally their nervous, but it's natural so you try anyways because we all have to attempt to get over that natural nerves and get a chance to learn to trust that you can do things on your own in the world.. but some people/kids don't ever get the chance to learn they can trust there is good in the world... I just learned of a case in Sweden where a 10 yr old girl was killed the 1st time she got to ride her bike home without her parents. Her mom even called her every 10 minutes to check on her because she was very nervous. I hate that something bad happened to make that feeling of nerves a very real thing... It's just heartbreaking. This over jealous controlling ex boyfriend in this video was so idiotic and in no way had to kill his ex girlfriend and I get so frustrated that these people get convinced in their mind that it's their only option of action... Like no. Go on, live your life, let things go, maybe even try to wish others well even if you don't see eye to eye on everything.. just let things go... But apparently that seems impossible for some?
It’s truly not hard staying single until the kids graduate and go about their life. 16 years in I’m at the point where a relationship doesn’t even look appealing anymore.

In New Hampshire something kinda similar to the first case happened. A woman with clear evidence that she had been a victim of domestic abuse tried (possibly multiple times?) to get a restraining order against an ex. Judge said there wasn't sufficient evidence (lies), and so she was basically told her case doesn't matter and go eff off. Soon after, her ex walks up next to her car window, shoots her in the head point blank. She went into a coma. I think she survived.
I like how the narrator continues to put his qualifications on the screen during his analysis. I respect his expertise and love his takes on the different cases
I had a buddy for 10 years he seemed like a good man, found out he wasn't the gf was very good at hiding it new year's eve of 2000 he pulled out a gun screaming you want me dead he fired a round into the wall luckily it didn't go through he then put the gun to his own head and pulled the trigger, maybe he thought the gun was empty but it wasn't, she has moved on and he's not even a memory,
To be honest, it surprises me that she didn't lock the doors. And it surprises me that she sat in the car park knowing he was there. It also surprises me that her mom told her to leave the gym without telling her to ask someone to escorts her to her car. I can almost guarantee you that there would have been many guys there more than willing to walk her to her car. I'm a fairly decent sized guy, but I always lock my doors, especially if I'm going to sit I'm my car when it's stationary. I don't want to get jacked by someone with a knife or a gun.
This actually happened in my home town. Its strange to see your own place appear on these channels, esspically when your home town is so small and not well known
See, I *knew* you had to be either a well-read, well-learned amateur or professional with your analysis! Majored in Psych myself before switching majors, and have been studying Psych and Criminal Psych most of my life as a hobby. Just one more reason to love the EWU Crew. Makes the Raven moniker even more fitting. ✌️😉🍻 Attorney, too, eh? All bases covered!
people who kill or hurt children to spite the parent are the most despicable vile cowards in the world and there is no place for people like that to stay here. They should automatically get the death penalty, no remorse, no compassion, like they show their victims.
Think there should be a special sentence specifically for people like child sexual murderers , family annihilators ect. I like the idea of an oubliette ( spelling?) Just like a deep dark hole they can slowly rot in. I also think of that scene in the movie Seven where the guy is strapped to a table and looks like a human skeleton. He was kept barely alive, starving and strapped to a table, going mad. I do believe people make mistakes and they can change. But I also believe there's a point where you've forefit your humanity doing those hideous things.
@@thegingercat146 Def, if someone hurts or kills a child, they need to get a different sentence, based on the fact the child can not defend itself like an adult could, or run away or call for help and sometimes may not even recognize they are being abused till its too late, therefore, the ones who prey on these helpless victims deserve to get the most harsh sentence.I like the hole in the earth idea like in the movie "300" when Leonides kicks the messenger guy into the never ending pit yelling "THIS IS SPARTA!!!"

I just watched Mollie story a few days ago on another TH-camrs channel and it's so sad how her life was taken from her. If a person doesn't want to be with you just move on, you can't make a few person want you
I will be a huge supporter of the Ewu Crew for life! This is my number one favorite true crime channel! They’re so thorough with their research and put these videos together beautifully! Thank you for giving me hours of entertainment while I do my daily tasks! Hell, I even turn them on during the holidays when I’m wrapping gifts lol.
Crystal is partially to blame for her sons being murdered. . New boyfriends are not babysitters. He could’ve sxully assaulted all her kids. You never ever ever allow someone outside your circle to be alone with your children until they can defend themselves.
I’m sorry but that’s just not true. You don’t know someone’s going to murder your children and you don’t know the circumstances that she was in. That’s such a terrible thing to say about a mother who is not only blaming herself every day but still grieving the loss of her children.
It’s like when someone leaves their kids with a new babysitter, you wouldn’t blame them for their children getting hurt. Shit happens no matter how hard you try to protect your children and honestly it’s just so terrible that you would put any blame on anyone other then the MURDERER
“New boyfriends are not babysitters” Does that mean you think a babysitter is fine, but the mother’s bf is not? If so, what makes the babysitter safe? The fact that you pay them?
the first case happened in my uni town while i was living there and it was horrifying seeing the headlines and realising it happened so close to me, to someone my age, as well as the lack of response from local cops to her reporting him (horrifying but not surprising). she deserved so much better. rest in peace molly
If you're big on social media and you have a stalker just go live and talk about how you're currently being stalked, then your "follows" will back you up, some might even be in the area and could help you get out of the situation. Best bet is to just start off with others always around you that way the stalker can't single you out; hope the police get better with this rather than going "just block them" (because blocking doesn't always work).
For the first case, that proves why the second you step into your car you lock the doors. My dad always locks the doors the second his butt hits the seat, and I started doing the same once I moved to a larger city. Once my one foot is in the car I immediately lock the door, I don't even wait until I'm sat down.
Every time I watch a case that had DV or DA in it, I can’t help but think back to the similar exes and situations they have put me in. I feel lucky that I was able to escape or make it out. I hope others can find themselves in the same situation so we can hear fewer and fewer cases like this.
The help out there for abused women to get out of a relationship before it escalates is nearly nonexistent. Unless you are an emergency there is no help in preventing to become one in the first place. I can tell u stories.
Joshua didn’t sound like he had bipolar disorder, it sounded like he had bpd and narcissism. As someone who has bipolar disorder, it upsets me to see murder and violence so heavily associated with it
Hi! Someone with BPD here, I feel as though we shouldn’t stigmatize each other’s illness as we don’t understand or know their differences in ways professionals do. While BPD and bipolar can be misdiagnosed as either, they overlap with symptoms quite a bit. I for one hate having BPD been stigmatized as the “evil” one as, personally, I just struggle with intense emotion and depression. Anyone of any illness or none at all can snap and be violent.
Just because he doesn’t have the exact same experience you did doesn’t mean he doesn’t have it. And it’s “stigmatized” because the majority of abusers have it. The majority of violent people have it. You just got lucky
@@LittleLillypadHe was not even diagnosed with it. And you're making things up, most abusers don't have bipolar disorder. What a stupid comment. In fact, most violent and abusive people *don't* have bipolar disorder, or any mental health diagnosis at all.
I appreciate all the psychological information given. These videos are very interesting and educational. They always explain the background. Best videos on TH-cam for this reason
Thank you for covering the crime from my country singapore. I would suggest you might want to look into this person called Adrian Lim. The murder and twist is more horrifying and disturbing. Thanks
I love your channel. Your voice is very soothing and I absolutely love your narrations and how you put your own little flare on each video. Thanks so much for the awesome content.
People take break-ups way to seriously! I've had a few break-ups in my time! You know what I didn't do? Kill any of them! In fact my ex wife is one of my best friends! Strange I know...
I went to secondary school with Molly, she was in my friends form and I think we had a few classes together. I wasn't good friends with her or anything but it churned my stomach when I read the headline back when it happened. It was heartbreaking, poor girl.
Yes, thank you so very much for another top-quality upload, EWU Crew! - Oh no, Molly's case also started with downloading a dating app/Tinder; like so many others did and likely still do... I really need to look into some statistics one day to see, if there're more positive or more negative outcomes after using dating apps - not meaning only stalking, domestic violence, s. assaults and murders - but also all the awkward, embarrassing and gross situations; not sure if they've ever made such statistics though.
Dating apps do help some people who may struggle meeting people in real life, but personally I’d have to be pretty desperate to risk it as a pretty small and short person
40 years ago he'd have been meeting a girl at a party or striking up conversation at a bus stop. There have always been predators and they were and are always looking for prey. Apps can lull people into a false sense of security, because they can feel like they know the person before they meet in person, but other than that it's little different to how it's always been. She found him attractive and swiped right is not much different from finding him attractive and swapping numbers at a bus stop.
my favorite thing about this channel is that it's like reverse clickbait. the titles and thumbnails make you think this might be your run of the mill youtube video where they're just reading a wikipedia article, and then surprises you by actually being an in-depth and well-researched recounting of events by an educated person and a great narrator. keep up the good work ewu crew!
And this is why EWU is one of the best true crime channels in my opinion (next to Coffeehouse crime)
@@Spidey1996 definitely both in my top three along with CriminallyListed!
To be fair - his Titles are still clickbait lol. Like he clearly doesn’t care *that* much about separating himself from other clickbait true crime TH-camrs - like he could simply not keep making clickbait titles, but he does:0

Look in the interior of the car before you get on it too.
It’s crazy how the door wasn’t locked to begin with even though Molly knew she was being stalked
@Chris Shaffer I would have police take mental health seriously and be trained on how to act on stalker behavior.
So true.
Hopefully you aren’t speaking from experience though 😔
Absolutely, even being so meticulous and having help and even being around people to make sure you're OK it can just take one time to be alone and thats it, police need to do better in dv cases
What are you supposed to do? Change your name & move states every time you break off with someone? You may not even know the person that can be stalking you.
So true.
The big differences are:
A. This behavior goes largely unreported by men who feel ashamed or embarrassed likely due to the stigma of a man being bullied by a female
Hi mate
As someone that was in an abusive relationship (my gf abused me) that shite about women being more likely to abuse lads is absolute rubbish
It happens but it’s definitely more the other way
@Aythrael no it necessarily IS mainly women
when the raven stops narrating + goes, "WAIT...

True, true words.
People and their phones can be just as deadly as a stalker....
The girl who revealed Molly’s location should be charged AS WELL as the police who didn’t do anything .

I agree that she should be charged as an accomplice due to her actions being nefarious, however, people need to be smarter about their SM activity.
You should consult with the family and help them file a lawsuit against the police.
Most cops are useless

@@liceafilms nah I disagree, those people that you think made the channel better were in my opinion didn't make videos that were as good. They also were into like going to haunted houses and other places that were known for supernatural type things but just had a way of presenting their content that I didn't really find that good.

Would the person who tracked her and let him know when she was in the gym not be guilty of something?
Good question.
Wonder how they feel now.
He would have fooled her..she was also a victim of his manipulation
26 years for brutally murdering someone with a knife!? What!? Should be the death penalty or life. Systems are so fking BROKEN. SMH

This one guy I used to hang out with only had to spend the night in jail for shitting on the sidewalk.
@@zxczxczxc7240 you dodged a bullet there.
There are many factors though. He was still a juvenile and that guy manipulated the kids.
This happened to me too, and it’s scary! Sending love to you
I hope you are okay now and he’s met someone who made him a lot better and less clingy
He probably found someone else to stalk :(
I had a similar case with an ex girlfriend.
@@Givemeonethatsavailible he's just found another victim or been locked up, men like that never change.

EWU crew is the best True Crime channel out there! The Ravens voice makes it even better! Thanks for the awesome videos!
I couldn't agree more, well said!!
I love both, any ewu content is golden
I love how descriptive this channel is, and how they pick apart the psychology of individuals involved in each case. And also by explaining different mental health disorders and signs of abuse without falling into popularized stigmas.
This is the first time a true crime video mentions a case that happened in my neighborhood... I used to live in South Toledo at the time, and I remember the police swarming at the apartment complex next to ours. It happened just a few months after the Braylen Noble murder, and our whole community was furious that something like this can happen. I hope the people responsible get what the, deserve in both cases.

Stay safe always 🙏
I have a similar diagnosis, along with a few other labels and a lot of them stem from childhood abuse and trauma- BUT- I don’t let that diagnosis become an excuse for not getting help or taking responsibility for my actions. Having mental health issues is never an excuse for bad behavior. Also, stalking is never okay. 😅 I’m glad you’re safe though, sounds like he needs some help.

They could of charged him with harassment and gsve him a restraining order that banned him contacting her or her family in person, through others and through social media aswell as banning him from being physically within a certain distance of her
@@jodia2125 thank you for clearing that up for me
Its not that easy to obtain a TPO.

I agree, and it's awful she got hate from people for it while grieving the loss of her kids.

In New Hampshire something kinda similar to the first case happened. A woman with clear evidence that she had been a victim of domestic abuse tried (possibly multiple times?) to get a restraining order against an ex. Judge said there wasn't sufficient evidence (lies), and so she was basically told her case doesn't matter and go eff off. Soon after, her ex walks up next to her car window, shoots her in the head point blank. She went into a coma. I think she survived.

If you're big on social media and you have a stalker just go live and talk about how you're currently being stalked, then your "follows" will back you up, some might even be in the area and could help you get out of the situation.
