As a Singaporean who has lived and worked in Japan, Hong Kong, China, Germany, the US, and well traveled, I always find Singapore is a very interesting country in many ways! Understanding what makes Singapore one of the most successful economies today with a safe, clean, green, and stable political/social society ( with at least 90% of home ownership), one will appreciate deep from their hearts.

Glad you enjoyed yourself. There are many low-cost places to visit too if you enjoy nature. We have a wetland reserve which see migratory birds using Singapore as a pitstop. There are 2 families of otters that are roaming around our waterways. Most of the parks are linked up by park connectors and bridges, an option would be to cycle around if you were ever here again. The food centres at Maxwell, Lau Pa Sat and Newton are good choices to eat our reasonable local fares.

warms the heart to see you enjoying and appreciating your stay here.
Understandably your time here is too short, but appreciate the fact that you recognise that there is a lot more to experience than the usual touristy areas/activities/food.
You will always be welcome here (Most Singaporeans are very proud of our country/city, esp the local food!) , and I certainly hope you can come back again!
There are many affordable options for food and activities, and you definitely don't need to break the bank to have quality experiences here.
Take care and hope to see you again!

Thank you for visiting my country and enjoying your time here. Do come back again and explore more adventures and visit the heartlands and see how the locals lived. Food and shopping are usually less pricey than the usual touristy spots. Hotels in and around central town can be expensive and high end. If you intend to spent the whole day out exploring and going back to the hotel in the evening just to sleep. There are cheaper hotels options. Cheaper doesn’t mean “ sleazy “ 😅just not so fancy😂but clean 😉❤

10:57 I'm a Singapore born Indian and what you saw there were the morning prayers. Hindu temples usually open around 6 to 6.30 am and the priests will perform the morning worship where they bathe the idols with clean water and adorn them with flowers and clothes. They also do it every night before the temple closes around 9.30 pm. You can always appraoch the office at the temple or devotees who are sitting around. We are more than happy to talk to people who want to know more about our Hindu religion/culture. All are welcome in our temples. Just no footwear please. 😅

Enjoyed your vlog very much. However, surprised you said nothing about the food here. We are known as a food paradise. There are dozens of hawker centres selling a variety of ethnic foods at affordable prices. The semi-open non-aircon ones have fans that keep the place cool. The indoor ones are aircon and the food is more expensive. Both settings give you much variety and good value, with their operations periodically monitored for hygiene.
Our hawker food has won us a UNESCO award for intangible culture.

Singapore 🇸🇬 is not your typical South East Asia city that you have visited i.e. Thailand🇹🇭, Philippines 🇵🇭, Malaysia 🇲🇾, Indonesia 🇮🇩, Vietnam 🇻🇳, Cambodia 🇰🇭, Myanmar 🇲🇲 or even Brunei 🇧🇳. A combination of Modern Architecture surrounded by old British 🇬🇧 colonial buildings with lush foliage on the skyscrapers. Very westernized and contemporary yet still preserve the old rustic looks of old village settings. The price of accommodation and food tends to be on the pricey side if you dine on a mostly touristy flank. Go to hawker centers for cheaper options in Singapore 🇸🇬. There is plenty of it here and to approximate is beyond comparison.

Been to Singapore 6 times and last time in May was the last. Just too expensive and the 'sights' are not worth it. Add on Singapore Airlines was rubbish.

Some things can be a bit pricy there. We got some pretty good deals on line for the things we did. Our experience on Singapore airlines was really good. Thanks for your comments and for watching our channel.

Stay a few year in Singapore and you find the cost of living steadily increasing year by year. Don't Worry, the high cost of living drives you back to where you come from.

We loved the place we stayed at in Malaysia. We know that everywhere we go there always good and bad. But both Carrie and I live in such a way that we make the best out of everything. Everything cant be, as we would put it, "A home run". So we love and enjoy each place and each moment we have. Thanks for commenting and watching our channel.
