Argentina has really become part of what used to be the three, but now four powerhouses of Southern hemisphere rugby
Argentina are an awesome side and showed once again that they belong in the Championship. If the Boks win the 2022 Championship this year they only have Argentina to thank for their amazing wins over Australia with almost 50 points and the amazing away win vs the AB's. Its only a matter of time before Argentinawin the Championship. Long live Argentina Rugby from a proud Bok fan!
The all blacks and the spring bokk have won the same amount of games so far this year in the rugby championship it will come down to for and against points.. Don’t count the All Blacks out just yet
Thank you amigo! Props to SA too
Thanks mate! Pumas and rugby fan here. We will always be grateful to South Africa for all the support they gave us back in the old days of our rugby development. Next game, I'll be cheering for the Boks as well!
Felicidades a los Pumas por ser el equipo que son hoy día. Ya no tenemos la misma situación que teníamos antes, con tres equipos buenos más Argentina. Ya somos 4. We should also pay due respect to Graham Henry for his impact on Argentine rugby. Such a pleasure to watch Argentina continue to grow!
From an SA fan, I love the Argentine team. I hope they continue doing as well as they have been lately.
Muchos penales, felicitaciones South Africa, gracias por seguir ayudando al rugby Argentino!
It is a pity that Argentina had to lose (between the 2 teams).
South Africans REALLY like ARGENTINIANS!
Bueno entra vos a la cancha a jugar a ver qué haces ... Jua
Argentina is a very good side. World Cup will be yours soon!!

@@fomofud9479 South Africa has been always good to Argentina in rugby, since Izak Van Heerden who coached the touring pumas in 1965 in Rhodesia and SA
Estuve en la cancha, sudáfrica equipazo!! Gran rival. Un partido emocionante, los chicos felices por ver a sus ídolos de los pumas/ sudáfrica dando lo mejor. Gracias a la uar por traernos semejante experiencia 💙🇦🇷!!!
Argentines are the best! Just awesome people!
Greetings from Puente Alsina
great to see springboks playing well again, keep up the consistency. great win guys..
Te Amo Argentina 🇿🇦
Southafrica súper team ! Congrats from Arg
Good 2nd half from Arg, the second Arg try was really fantastic
How cool is Francois Steyn he should definitely do all conversions for the Boks legend...
He has a 3rd world cup winner's medal for sure next year.
The guy is a legend.
Best back in a generation locked out of selection for years. Standard behavior for any SA organisation… let’s put everything else ahead of getting the job done. SARU morons.
I will never forget his 1st world cup l don't know him. He come up from the bank and played good and kick the ball from the middle of the field and that game Bokke win 🏆
He's kicking is on point i must say
South African here and I have to admit, Argentina was extraordinary yesterday.
Especially in the 2nd half. Had they played two halves like that it would have been a different outcome. Congrats Argentina, better luck next time.
Felicitaciones SA, un placer haberlos tenido en Argentina!
Well done Bokke! Pumas rugby looking better than ever. Great to see!
It true
Faf de klerk es un mostro de medio scrum. Metió con todo a de Allende en el try del min 74. Y eso que pesa 80 kilos nomas💪👏 . Vamos Argentina 🇦🇷
I literally have no doubt when Francois Steyn steps up for a kick lol
He's a bit like Percy. In the beginning of their careers they were both so inconsistent, but later on became reliable...guess practice makes perfect.
Hes a veteran. Is it the same guy from back when habana was running around
How does he keep getting fatter haha? You'd think they'd put him on a diet
@@JayKay-on2gr well we know what happens in those meetings
Mad respect for the Steyn brothers. Francois is amazing, he's a veteran and still has those kicking skills intact!
The Pumas have greatly improved! I would love to see them as another rugby powerhouse 🏉
Agree with Karma, liked the way the referee and his assistants officiated this game. Clear explanations, consistent and fair, the way it should be done. Hats off to the Bokke for pulling this one through.. The Argies are not easy in Argentina..
Although Argentina didn’t play to their strengths in the 1st half they remained competitive and proved that they deserve to be in this tournament on merit especially since the 2 consecutive wins v Aus and NZ.
They are now considered a team that is capable of winning rather than an also ran as they were when they joined a decade ago.
Sadly this is not a comparison that can be made with Italy in the Northern Hemisphere 6N tournament.
50 PTS to 3 Vs NZ remember that before you think they are advancing
insightful
@Marcos Boero but 50 PTS to 3 is the norm against Argentinia for the all blacks those Argentina wins are something special ya know they call them one hit wonders🥴look the broad picture don't be ignorant
@@kingkongkong2204 That came off the back of 2 consecutive wins the first time after a decade in the tournament. They were obviously unable to maintain that tempo for a 3rd win and probably still tired.
Don’t forget Argentina have no domestic professional league or franchised regional tournament in which to compete.
Every single player in that squad plies his trade overseas. That said it’s remarkable that they’re in Tier 1 and winning games at the highest level of world rugby.
Don’t be so quick to judge.
@@kingkongkong2204 haters gonna hate. Argentina’s improvement is undeniable.
FS will definitely have a job in a Springbok squad even after retirement, legend.
I remember him from youtube series against the Lions
FS will always have a place in the Bok contingent. He’s already cemented legend status.
He would not work with the inept SARU
That guy can kick man
I'm amazed that he is still playing after all these years. Has anyone had a longer international career?
Springboks power and home advantage ! Pumas courage and creativity! To me it was a close game!
Argentina was the home team.
The level of the next world cup teams is going to be at its highest!
Great game, books. United we shall stand!
Next weeks game in Durban! Can’t wait! 🇿🇦
SA number 9 a smooth, stable operator, has a great future ahead, well done.
Strong finish by the Boks love to see it
This game is fast becoming more about reffing technicalities and interpretations and yet the game is so fast and brutal, much gets missed. I hope the Rugby brainstrust are thinking of ways to simplify the game.
Thats what I think and the Referees love the sound of there own voice...if you want more people watching then it needs to be more simple.
Brutal 😂😂😂soft game
Been thinking this for a while now. The game is over-reffed and overcomplicated. The rules needs to be simplified somehow.
@@a.a.h.s.2345For me it's now just a more interesting card game. Once the cards fly the winner is the one with least amount of cards in there hand
Malcolm Marx is a Beast!!!
And he can play 80?
@@joedennehy386 Of course he can play 80 min. Coaching mistake to keep him on the bench so far. The same is happening with Kwagga brilliant every time he enters (except this game). Another coaching mistake.
I thought that overall what the referee missed, his assistants and the TMO covered brilliantly - I would be happy to have that team again next week. Not sure if all officials communicate like these guys did and we just could hear these guys, but that communication and teamwork gave a good, exciting and mostly fair contest. Can't ask for more than that.
I agree. It was clear at all times what they were looking at and discussing . The Moroni try was touch and go with both the pass and the grounding and it needed enough time to be looked at. If fans don't like a decision they are always quick to criticize the Refs performances. In the end the ultimate test is did the right team win with a margin that rightly reflected the level of their performance . Very rarely can you say the least deserving team won.because of the Refs performance.
@M A did you watch the game?
@M A makes sense, you need the slow mo for your understanding... And even then you still don't get it hey, what a waste of good technology.
@M A that's your opinion and we have already established that you are slow, so we'll give you till the World Cup to properly process everything. Watch some Cocomelon on your 8K screen to put your last remaining braincells to use.
@@RPedro87 LMAO - that's a brilliant chirp! 10/10 mate!
Solid game SA and AG
Yass. Im soooo glad south africa is winning. This is my second favourite team after All blacks. Im just soooo happy for south africa. I hope they win the championship if all blacks dont.
Damn. They ALMOST lost it in the 2nd half but thank goodness they kept their heads up and hit their target. Good win BOKKE!! Just one more!!🇿🇦💪
Both Penalty Tries were the right call. Happy to see the high tackles start to get called in those situations.
and the offside tackles as well
The issue is not really the calls... the issue is consistency and checking everything sometimes then ignoring things sometimes. The refs and TMOs are really controlling the outcomes of the games to extreme levels right now. If u listen to coaches and players, they say they have to prepare and adapt to refs. Why can't refs just be consistent, so that no one has to adapt to them. Everyone can then just adapt to the rules.
@M A no so. A clear forward pass for 1 Argie try. And the pen try conceded by SA was not a guaranteed try for Arg
On the try line you HAVE to tackle high, no other way of stopping it!
@M A The reff was bad and we won
Impressive conversion by the springbok substitute prop
He's been in a good paddock
Dad bod and all, he'll probably sit you down. Put some respek on Frans Steyns name.... Double world cup winner. 🥇🥇
the slick hands for that last try 🔥
Congrats SA !
No pasa nada viejo vamos los puma todavía Argentina Argentina
For the Pumas, the first half was hideous. Too many penalties conceded, few, if any ball carrying were imo the reasons to why we got stomped and a dropping performance after Carreras was sent off was a bummer. The second half was a different story, where a much more cohesive rugby was seen by the Pumas. Our pack improved a lot which was important for the first try, and the great ball passing was important for the second try. While we were very close and put up a solid fight in the second half, I think the final result is an accurate reflection of the match as a whole.
Hopefully things are better in Durban. Vamos Argentina, carajo! 🇦🇷
Ya vimos el partido, gracias por tu resumen innecesario igual
Moroni´s try was a clear forward pass.... The end result is quite misleading.

Thanks for posting,
Thanks for posting.
The real stars of the show now are the refs and the TMOs. Every game.
especially when it’s this ref
Constant chirping in the refs ear, it’s infuriating. TMOs should be only for replays
Fans complain and accuse the refs of treachery if they dont make every call to the fans satisfaction "You have the technology, use it!" Scream those fans.
Well, they are using it.
Not looking at a try saving tackle in real speed and only showing the slow motion kinda summed it up. The Ref was ok, the TMO was nitpicking.
@@regularjohn7123 The issue is not the use of technology or the making of the right calls. The main issue is the consistency of the refs. How can it be normal and okay that the refs, week in week out, handle the games differently???
Kiwi here so totally unbiased, that pass looked clearly forward before the Argentinian try under the posts and the supposed tackle around the neck which gave the Argentinians a penalty try was wrong IMO, the player was well short of the line
Wasn't that try also a knock on?
Disagree that pass was backwards or at best flat. He had to catch the ball behind him but the tackle around the neck can be interpreted differently but I don't disagree with you
The TMO kept on playing the try saving tackle in slow motion, I didn't once see a real time replay being asked for.
@Raymond O'Connor no I don’t agree. It was flat.
@Raymond O'Connor watch the first replay in 0.25x speed it shows him passing it flat/backwards because of the angle of the camera. Then watch it same speed on the second replay the pass doesn't end up in front of the other line but on it. The angle makes it look forward but it's flat
“ Looking gooooooouiiiiiiiid” 😂
Well done aargentina with the comeback and Malcolm Marx sprinting like a winger in the 80th minute!

love the kick of Steyn. It's so perfect. The motion, the move of the ball. Love the pov of the kick too
Well played Springboks. Really good getting that bonus point putting us in a great position on the log! Our execution on attack is still not on par, we need to work on unnecessary knock on's and poor passing. If we want to be the best we need to execute better!
I haven’t been able to completely watch all these games, so I could be wrong about this. But it seems like reffing has gotten more disciplined and consistent compared to a couple years ago. I’m 100% ok with this, as it will force players and coaches to play cleaner, quicker rugby
Yeah they’ve been trying to force teams to play “cleaner, quicker” rugby for years and all I’ve seen is the game get progressively more frustrating to watch
@@gewfhrefnjkr3724 your 100% spot on, it’s become incredibly slow and frustrating in the last 2-3 years. Too many stoppages with players taking dives to have a breather every few minutes. I say give them 30 seconds to get up and carry on play Or you have to leave the field immediately and get medical attention in your own time and then come back into the field when your ready. Most the time it’s just a player with cramp getting his legs stretched or someone who’s basically lying on his back getting a breather while the medics come out to give him some water and a reassuring hug to tell them everything’s gunna be ok. yet the game stops for 5 minutes every time.
Also it seems like 75% of tries go to the TMO and that is another huge momentum/time killer
Lastly, don’t even get me started on scrums haha.stop the clock untill the ball goes in- simple as that! The players purposely re set scrums to waste 2-3 minutes each time . If the clock wasn’t running I guarantee the players would Have less of a reason to muck around with resets
i agree with all the comments about the referees. On the bright side, Argentina are going from strength to strength. And that Malcolm M try was just a little piece of rugby joy.
The crowd started to sing and was thinking here comes a win, the Boks shut them up big time
Pero en tu país seguro que un público que aliente así no vas a encontrar.
Saludos 👏👏👏
Dont talk about the people , talk about rugby , in the second half the boks dont play . And the pumas smash them
@@jorgeboedo9913 Pumas played amazing in the 2nd half, it was a war
Yeah--Victory To The Springboks!💥
The Boks need to sort that ruck D out. Argie scored a carbon copy of that try Aussie did against them. Apart from that, good forward performance. Strong game from Marx again, the beast
What a team that is!
Good win S.A. from a kiwi.
Terrific game.
Great. Hope springboks win the championship, easily the best team in my opinion. From Northern Ireland
Thanks
I don't support either team so I don't have a dog in this fight, however how come that a TMO is looking at the same pictures as the rest of us and can't see a forward pass it seems to happen practically every game, if the ball comes out forward from the hands that isn't legal yet they say things like it's flat when it clearly isn't, World rugby need to get a grip .
I agree
I thought that was clearly a forward pass before the Argentinian try under the posts, I'm a kiwi so I'm totally unbiased
The TMO nitpicking, playing a try saving tackle in slow motion, wanting to clarify a grounding when the Boks were getting ready for the kick off.... he made a decent officiating display become questionable.
From that angle anything will look like a forward pass
From the other camera angle looked backwards...so no clear evidence to unrule the try
Well done

Good win for the Boks - well done. The usual litany of debatable refereeing decisions, but not sure they unduly influenced the outcome of the game.
Shames that Los Pumas couldn't get the win at home - then they would have beaten the All Blacks, Australia and the Springboks in this year's Rugby Championship, which would be outstanding. But one more chance next week in South Africa.
Was that last try knocked on the buildup by Mapimpi?
@@catinthehat906 no Marx just juggled it
@@nathanferreira8916 I've looked at again and you are right he just lifts it up with his fingertips, so at first glance it looked like it bounced- but it did not hit the ground.

Springbox very strong good game
Second rate from both sides. Puma's a shadow of their previous match.
They couldn't score a try in their previous match....
Serious question but how does the bonus point system work this year?
Score 3 or more tries then your opponent and get 1 bonus point(5points instead of 4)
Lose by 7 or less points you get 1 losing bonus point, easy. It’s there to promote more tries in a game.
@@Luntu Thanks very much👍
The Pumas were all over the shop but still managed to get within a hare's breadth of South Africa. If only they could've strung some effective overlaps, surely there would have been another try or two.
Pumas playing a great game of Rugby.
I saw the whole game and SA had a total grip of the game in the 1st half and shouldn't really have allowed Argentina to get so close in the 2nd. But showed they were much the better team by clinically scoring from just about their only 2nd half chances.
2:34 "looking goOoOoOod" 😂
All highlights on TH-cam have left out SA’s try that was disallowed at the end of the first half. The TMO did a horrid job there. It was clear and obvious Mostert had a second go at the ball in the line out when loosing control, and knocks the ball back, not forward. Definitely a try. Irrespective of the complaints of a forward pass by the Pumas not picked up later, sometimes those go your way, sometimes they don’t, a more accurate score line was 43-20. Great tackle by Kwagga, he did exactly what he should do when a player is low and going over the line, tackle the ball and hold up the player by rolling. Text book tackle. Entertaining game, the Pumas played some good rugby at times, SA scramble defence was great at times.
The Law says, if the first knock is forward, the player has to regather and control the ball. So, if you knock forward, then tap back (as happened) it is a knock on.
@@justinkightley83 a player juggling the ball, is considered in control of the ball, and if the last action of the juggle is the ball going flat or backwards, it’s not a knock on, it’s a pass or a knock back. If between the juggling action of the ball moving forward, it either hits another player or the ground, it is considered a knock on. The reason why we know the player is considered in control of a rugby ball while juggling it (without it hitting anyone else or the ground), is that the player can be tackled in the situation. You are free to tackle a player after their hands move the ball forward and before the player “regathers”. Refs consider it in control.
@@justinkightley83 The law doesn't actually say that. It is very unclear to be honest. It says a knock-on is only a knock on if the ball goes forward and hits the ground or another player. That did not happen here because the ball was played BACK before it hit the ground or was received by another player. The verbiage that you and the TMO / Ref used is nowhere in the laws. If you can find the specific paragraph that says that, I plead for you to share it with me as I would honestly love to see it and learn something new.
La contundencia del tackle Puma es de remarcar. Aunque se despitaron en algunos momentos claves. Se perdió bien, pero al menos, hubo juego...
put a chip in the ball that can tell when the ball goes forward even by 1 millimeter. so many forward passes these days not being officiated.
