- I recently did a review first look at a carbon fiber gimbal guard for the mavic Pro. Do not buy it or you're completely wasting your time and money!!
If you would like to send me a product for review or have any questions please feel free to contact me at: revtech1392@gmail.com
Found this out today too, mine would climb by itself and wouldnt stop and gave me a sensor failure error
Hi, I don't have that carbon fiber plate u mount on but yesterday something similar happened to me but unfortunately for me I could bring it down, I pulled down my sticks fully to bring down the altitude but the mavic too moved like an Inch.. I wasn't using any attachments but our mavic reacted the same manner.. just for your info..
So end of the day my mavic battery went to 0% and I fell off from the sky, free fall for 160meters of height. Even RTH wasn't helping, I tried pulling it down at 30% but it just won't land.
Stuff on the bottom somehow interferes with the sensors. My Mavic is also flawless in performance. The only issues I've ever had were because of me!
Another thing to think about....in high winds the Mavic is using a lot more power to try to stabilize itself. It may have already been applying too much power to the motors needed to hold position when you attempted to make it decend.
Thanks for the warning.
Have you flown at this location many times before? I have a park that I flew at all the time than one time out of the blue issues! I was 3 feet off the ground and about 100 feet from my location and the Mavic crashed right into the ground (awful) ! It looked fine but when I changed batteries because I have had flawed battles too I started it up and the intake fan was rubbing on the intake grill behind gimbal. Again free repair!
Great review thank you, a similar event happened to me although it was in the form of sprung loaded legs and these things interrupted the sensors underneath and prevented the drone from landing. Its the one and only time I have had where the drone wasn't under my control. After removing the legs it all went back to normal.I do feel these companies are putting things out to market without thoroughly testing their products and grabbing a quick buck. The best policy is to keep the drone bare and stock fresh.don't tamper with things I e add on's that weren't designed for the drone by DJI.
I have had mine on for a couple of months and not one problem yet, I have flown 17,000 feet from where I am over water and not even a bar of signal lost. I'm sorry you are having problems with yours. In fact I hope it is this piece I know what it is like to have your Mavic act up mine has been in the shop 5 times for software issues all free repairs and finally a new drone
That's what happens when people pimp up and try to "improve" already good product.
You will not have any more issues after it's removed.
lose the guard immedietly
i use the plate gimbal protection an work 100%
peterson buffone no issues at all?

Ok
As soon as I removed that accessory my mavic flew perfectly. I have never had a problem with my mavic up until the day I put that accessory on.
