I would say some basics resellers would over look or don't do is do a deep clean on consoles or controllers. Like cleaning in the cracks where dirt builds up. I know that helps me to maximize sales just something as basic as that.
Dang Chase 1,000,000 in sales...dude you need to make a video on that showing your subs a breakdown of what you sold (categories) and where you sourced from (Hobby Store Ron, game buy out, garage sales, private sellers). This would be super interesting and also allow you to get a grip on what you sold and where you can improve. I personally decided to invest in flipping original xbox controllers...primarily the S version and a few Duke controllers. I replace the worn thumbsticks and clean out the thumbstick sensors that are usually caked with grossness and dirt. I love keeping the hobby alive for others and it can be very profitable if you are willing to put the work in. Nothing can defeat the OEM stuff versus the aftermarket garbage when playing vintage video games.
As someone who also has been using XYAB for over a year now, I would still recommend just boiling the original NES 72-Pin connectors to refit them. The originals are always going to be better and little investment to boil them with water and a tablespoon of vinegar while you're cleaning the rest of the shells.
To maximize sells on Ebay I always show the console or game working taking pictures of the actual item working always has helped me sell more and even sell over other sellers who do not have good pictures Many of my video game listings usually sell with in hours to a day even less desirable games plus having the right key words in your listing to maximize views will always help I as well have been a reseller for 20 plus years everything that Chase showed in this video is spot on great content thanks
Highly recommend using flux when your are soldering especially on the battery terminal for games. Fixing a - pad is easy but having to build a + pad can be a pain. Just remember, don't be too cheap in your replacement parts. The amount of times I've spent $5-10 for a psp battery and it works for a week then it's dead... Cameron Sino make the best PSP batteries, you'll pay $15+ but it saves you from having a return and having to buy ANOTHER battery.
Having done hundreds of these nes units in my store's heyday (1991-2000) one little trick I learned is not to screw the loading tray down tight to the board or you can have trouble getting it to click into the down position-i would tighten then ease up just a half turn and it will click down easily.
One thing I see done wrong a good bit is that loading tray has a black tab on the bottom that must go under the PCB…a lot of times people don’t realize this and it cause the front of the loading tray to bend out a little which can cause the game to get stuck down or not stay down.
Congrats for the 7$ figure u guys deserve it for ur hard work discipline extremely awesome video content God always rewards the humbleness of the heart plus believing & seeking the Almighty Jesus Christ blessings to u fam friends church members & community..... Let's go guys have an outstanding sales to come...
That starter kit file is a GAME CHANGER for my small ass resell biz. Thank you so much for taking the time and making these videos! Most of all where’s your actual store site?
Purchased a ps1 Jacki Chan from a garage sale for 5$. Game is trash but the manual was mint. Swapped into a replacement case. Sold within 24 hours for 70$ on eBay for case/ manual only. Jewel cases are a no brainer
Love this content. In the future could y’all do a series of videos breaking down each console for repairs/cleaning. A video on a single console would be great, and eventually hitting every one. Even if not I still love both channels, the content is great!
Thanks for the tip on xyab! I have a couple nes console that need new pin connectors. I just haven’t ordered new ones because I wasn’t sure how to handle the death grip 😹 Knowing the xyab connector don’t have the death grip, I’ll definitely be taking a look!
always get the cables i bought a 3ds no chargerfor 65 got a 10$ charger 2 blocks from where i picked it up and sold it for 130 next day after cleaning etc.
Yes, what’s your solution for replacing GameCube cases that have some wear on them… When selling expensive GameCube games is it better to have a pretty 3rd party GameCube case or a rough condition OEM case instead… Personally I just use OEM cases and use goo gone and rubbing alcohol to clean them however there’s nothing I can do about the scratches or tears within the outside plastic covering… Your thoughts…? Thanks
Sports games have a foil sticker and are cheap. Once removed, make good replacement cases. There is one game that I saw that had 2 disks. I don't remember the name of that game.
If I’m wanting to just do something for my personal stuff like one 72 pin or a single pack of Wii tops. Is there a way to do that on xyab or only in bulk?
About the PSP replacement shell, would you still sell a PSP game as "very good" condition if you replaced the shell? Good to know they're easily replaceable at least! Cheers
I wouldn't accept that as very good, it's not the original case and it doesn't look like the original, if it's replaced with another original case that has the same stickers etc I'm ok with it.
@@Exilitate Anything from a game case to the console shell has to be ORIGINAL or I'm sending it right back, I'd never accept anything 3rd party. For example that Wii got "fake" covers and same with the GBA, that battery cover didn't have any logo. If it says in the listing that it's been replaced with 3rd party stuff I'm fine with it, I just wouldn't buy it.
You would think if a person is very ocd or picky about things they would also care that low end chinese parts are being used 😂. Still great video with lots of useful information 👍🏻
I stay away from magic erasers. Used them gently on things like nes cartridges. It sands off the texture of the cart. I stopped using them and have returned games because I can tell the magic eraser been used on it. It damages and sands the cartridge smooth if it's used on a textured surface like a nes cartridge
People always crap on the taped in battery, but in mine is still holding save from a decade ago. Definitely is way less professional looking tho haha
Chase your channel is so underrated. The amount of information you guys give is crazy.
I would say some basics resellers would over look or don't do is do a deep clean on consoles or controllers. Like cleaning in the cracks where dirt builds up. I know that helps me to maximize sales just something as basic as that.
I’d recommend using a thicker chisel tip or a bend tip for soldering. It’ll make life easier for you guys and holds heat a lot better.

We have a 60 percent hit rate with those working.. which is why we have went the other way. Glad it works well for you though!
I really love that you guys take such pride in what you do. It's really amazing to see how much you guys care about what you are selling.

That's the best site that has ever sponsored you. So many things I needed are all on this site.
If you are replacing analog sticks on PS4/PS5/XBOX 1/XBOX series s/x, I highly recommend using low melt solder and a hot air rework station.
Love the tips now I’m not so worried about changing save batteries if I ever am able get back into reselling! God bless Mat and Chase!!!

Great video, although you might want to turn the NES off before you remove the cart 😎👍🏻
My wife just said “Matt has Dreamy Eyes…!”😠😠🤬😜😜🤣🤣
I knew you’d eventually get on the XYAB band wagon, love them
That starter kit file is a GAME CHANGER for my small ass resell biz. Thank you so much for taking the time and making these videos! Most of all where’s your actual store site?
lol - didn't turn off the NES before pulling the game...
thanks for the tips and the link to buy replacement parts
You guys are awesome. Its good to see your business going from strength to strength. Your living my dream. Keep up the good work
That Pokémon case broke at the screw hole RIP.
Just found your channel within the last hour, do you have a video talking about where you buy / source your inventory
Hey Crew!! Could you link or post a video on how you refurbish discs? Thank you!

Great video. Thank you. Wish I could find a replacement N64 stick (that is on center and firm) that isn't a GC version.
always get the cables i bought a 3ds no chargerfor 65 got a 10$ charger 2 blocks from where i picked it up and sold it for 130 next day after cleaning etc.
It's not just getting more money for your sales. It's about being the person that sells 1st. If you have broken stuff, it takes longer to sell.
More cam hand model Matt please!
Wheres the soldering iron link you mentioned in the video?
So much appreciated! You are the "best".

No good solution. I do the same thing that you do though
Steal good condition oem cases from lower end games for your high end ones, then let then just use 3rd party case for those low end ones
Sports games have a foil sticker and are cheap. Once removed, make good replacement cases. There is one game that I saw that had 2 disks. I don't remember the name of that game.
I utilize all of these tips. Except I didn't know about the website for replacement parts! So cheap omg!
Thanks for looking out
✌
hey we got the same soldering station haha!
I need that supplier in Spain.
Chase, how do you decide what goes on EBay vs Amazon?
Yesir. He we go. Love the videos.
If I’m wanting to just do something for my personal stuff like one 72 pin or a single pack of Wii tops. Is there a way to do that on xyab or only in bulk?
You can buy individual units for sure. I do that on a lot of the items I only need 1 or 2 of. Bulk is just an extra option
@@catrpcrew thank you! I need lots of cords and replacement pieces for all my old systems
Ps2 Fat/Slim are my down fall. I feel like every single one always have issues.
do you have any good links for OEM GameCube replacement cases?
Would you say your Products are Refurbished or only make Working and Cleaning?
Removing the NES cartridge without turning the console off first 😱😬😅
Psp's are my cryptonite almost every one I buy has issues
How much are the psp battery anyone know?
I followed the link but I’m not seeing where to save $50
I think you might see the code being applied before checking out? If not, they have great customer service to make sure you get your code
Do you have to have a business to buy from XYAB? I just fix/sell video games on the side so i have an eBay and Mercari accounts but not a business.
I was able to just use my ebay .

@@The-Choo-Choo-Shoe Exactly, how it should be. Resellers trying to pull fast ones on unsuspecting buyers is pretty low if you ask me.
The vast majority of buyers are not at all concerned about that stuff, they just want a product works well and looks good.
You would think if a person is very ocd or picky about things they would also care that low end chinese parts are being used 😂. Still great video with lots of useful information 👍🏻
You are saying that as if the original parts weren’t also made in China lol
@CATRP Crew OEM parts and fake/jobber/clone/knockoff all made in China yes, but OEM has quality standards.. LOL 👍🏻
Let's gooo games,games,games

Nice blatant ad. 🤑
🐨
Do these tips work with crack? asking for a crack addicted friend
Don't be like DK Oldies now clean and refurbish that console I seen a lil dirt on the edge of the console chase 😂
Change a 72 pin?
No…. Refurbish the original so it’s still a stock system. No replacement is as good as the original.
Would it kill you to buy a clip on mic ? Listening to a guy in a well talk for 14 mins is hard on my head.
