Hi from New York! I love seeing Japan through your eyes. People always show the bustling cities of Japan but I love that you take a moment to appreciate the nature there it makes me want to visit even more 💜
My favourite kind of “currently Hannah” vids. Slow, medative, letting the sound, music and visuals take the lead. Minimal voice over (not that we don’t love your Aussie accent haha...), just great!
Thank you so much Hannah for sharing those memories with us on a Friday. I just arrived home after a very nice and relaxing trip to Miyajima, watching the cousins of Nara's deers while strolling through the streets and stopping by at Starbucks for warming up and having some moments for my own, while watching the sunset. Now I'm having late dinner and hanging out with you in Kyoto. The unexpected is the most beautiful! Have a wonderful weekend. ♥
Nara become a big impression for me on my trip to Japan, because the atmosphere in Nara is like in fantastic fairytale where you walk through an fantastic old-school world, huge trees, wild fields with wild animals.
This gave me feelings of nostalgia big time. I agree, Nara is a full on tourist hub but you can't dispute the fact that it's veryyyy beautiful and unique. Beautifully captured Hannah. Was that "Isuien koen" you entered also? It looked familiar. We were lucky enough to have a (volunteer) guide take us around the garden, providing us with the meanings of garden design/placement. It was actually fascinating.
This was the first place I visited my first time in Japan. Beautiful place. Also, I couldn't help but hear Ozzy Man narrating the deer fight at the end 😆
This is I think one of your most beautifully framed videos. Don't think I've taken so many screenshots of a video in my life. Lovely lovely lovely composition!!!
I love bowing to the deers, because they "bow back" to you 😆 Such dignified creatures! I hope they are not hungry because there are no tourists from abroad to spoil them with Shika-Senbei..
Nara Park was one of my highlights visiting Japan. The deers are tame but they will harass you if you have food. There was also poop everywhere which was expected. I still remember the long walk from the train station. I thought it was going to be an easy half hour walk but google map didn't really tell me about all the hills.
Funny, I was thinking about Todai-Ji just a couple of hours ago, before you posted this (the largest wooden structure in the world for more than a 1000 yrs etc), out of nowhere... I think we might have had an ESP moment across the Pacific back there... 👻
I expected some voice over when the music stopped, but the herd was even better! And I loved when you looked up at the same time as the deer at 3:22 lol. I wish I spent more time there on my trips and wouldve loved to have been there in the fall for the colors. Another lovely video!
Nara is fantastic! Also recommend: Miyajima island outside Hiroshima. The famous Itsukushima Shrine also hosts "wild" deer. A trip up to the Shishiiwa Observatory is another great outing for a day.
Beautiful video. Nara park is so nice in fall, and the two gardens are each a gem. Hard to think that I was last time there in 2011, but Nara prefecture are so many other amazing places! About the run of the herd after the bugle call: I have seen on TV that they call the deer to check on them, and the deer get some food, so of course they runs like crazy.
Many wild deer and the Great Buddha of Todaiji Temple are famous in Nara Park, but many buildings were rebuilt in later times after being burnt down in the war at Todaiji Temple. There are few buildings left from the 8th century construction, but Sangatsudo, which remains on the eastern mountain side, is one of the precious buildings. Many national treasures such as "Fukuken sakukannon" are enshrined in the Buddhist temple. It seems that few foreign tourists visit, but it has a high historical value and is worth a visit.
I got to visit Japan and was in Nara in October 2019 before pandemic started. It was absolutely amazing even tho it was raining. The people, the food and this exct same Starbuck! I remember it very fondly and wish I could visit it again once after restrictions will be over 😊🦌
This video is a delight and a very worthy promotion of the peace to be found in so many parks across Japan. So many visitors do a half-day trip to see deer and Todaiji but Nara is much like our home (Adelaide, S.A) by size. There are numerous features to enjoy for those who have the time (recommend two full days if possible). Depending on your interests, Isui-en and the adjacent Yoshiki-en are charming stroll gardens, Daijo-in garden with its lake and vermillion bridge are restful and beautiful. Kasuga Taisha and the adjacent Todaiji Nigatsu-do round off the temple experience. If your interest extends to history, the archaeological sites 2km NW of JR show where vast amounts have been spent to restore and reveal the early era when Nara was the capital. Special request from a couple of oldies: we love your work but the occasional coarse language grates.
Hi hannah. You have an amazing eye for cinematography. It's so cool you can just leave your camera on a tripod and walk away and no one will mess with it. Beautiful video as always 😊
When we visited more than 10 years ago the deer hunted in packs. We got off lightly. One stole and ate a map I had sticking out of my back pocket. Other tourists weren't so lucky. Sometimes all you'll find is a shoe or a bloody camera... Nara is lovely though. We always wanted to go back but... Japan, there's so many places to visit. After this video though it may need another look. Covid willing of course.
3:16 *"That was wild".* I see what you did there Hannah 😉. I'm totally obsessed with how red the leaves are (which you've posted about before), and the overall calm vibes of the video. Oh and how respectful the groups of photo enthusiasts were with their huge lenses, 👍 with the exception of that one douchebag. Thanks also for mentioning again that the deer are indeed wild animals, but it is très cute that they will bow back to you in order to get food lol.
Deers are super super cute! I've always wanted to see Nara! 😍 And those autumn colours! ❤️❤️ Loved the slowmo wildlife moment at the end! Eheheh hope you're doing well Hannah 🥰😘😘
Ah Nara, truly a magical place! You captured so beautifully, those colours 😍 Nara during Obon remains one of the most incredible experiences I had in Japan. To be fair, Nara Park is pretty incredible all year round.
damn Hannah, huge respect for using the correct counter for the dumplings at the 7:12 mark! it still confuses me as to which one to use when, so I would have just gone for the safe futatsu onegaishimasu xD
Beautiful video. Love the warm color theme throughout and the many isolated frames in an obviously crowed location. What a special opportunity to walk among all of those wild creatures in an open space. Curious if you ever figured out what that call that made them stampede was all about? I’m thinking a misogynistic dude deer, who was ready…, yelling, “let’s go bitches,” and off they flew. 😜 Anywaaay, what fun to see the return of your mochi treat! Ha! Thanks for the work you do. Keeps this silly old poet and many more of us out here happy. Hope all is well.
Hi, Hannah San! I was the guy who followed by a lot of deer on same day! It was sooo glad to meet you (It was one of my dream!!) I also uploaded Nara Video on my TH-cam channel but your video is sooooo beautiful! Thank you as always!
Absolutely love your videos Hannah! The urge to visit Japan is just as strong as it was when I had to cancel my trip in March 2020 because of the pandemic. Looking back, I should have gone and risked being stuck in Japan (it wouldn't have been that bad right?) I was hoping to be able to go in the upcoming Fall season, but things are still very much up in the air in terms of travel. Your videos have been fuel to the fire, especially these past two years. While I can't be there myself, being able to immerse myself in the sights will have to suffice for just a little bit longer.

That sounds like a lovely weekend ☺️ So glad you enjoyed!
The colours of autumn with the dears form an amazing scenery! Thank you
Thanks!
Japan is so beautiful. With the Covid restrictions gone soon, visiting Narra would be a dream. Definitely Japan is worth revisiting.
Those autumn colours are amazing 🤩
Nara become a big impression for me on my trip to Japan, because the atmosphere in Nara is like in fantastic fairytale where you walk through an fantastic old-school world, huge trees, wild fields with wild animals.
Really liked seeing Nara again, it's such a lovely place. Thanks for taking us along 😊

No, that was Yoshikien, which is just on the right of Isuien. Both are beautiful gardens, but Isuien borrow Todaiji as background.
@@pbyfr Thank you for clarifying. Truly beautiful gardens! :)
I miss these solo travel videos, always super relaxing and cinematic. Hope to see more of these.
These colors of the trees, stunning!
They really took my breath away 😍
@@CurrentlyHannahwhich month has it been?

All about deer in Nara, everywhere. Autumn in Nara is so amazing, lucky to see it again..

Awesome Hannah. You definitely got there on the right day and at the right time of the day. The foliage are so colorful. Keep up the good work.

Beautiful video of fall. Thank you

Nara's such a beautiful place, and there are so many little hidden gems besides the more famous sites! Thanks for sharing!

Fabulous footage and Gr8 shots of color, reflections. Reminded me of Kyoto Temple Maples and the fall colors.
Beautiful work…
I’m astonish with your keen eyes of scenic view. Your angel are good and the cinematography are wonderful
Keep shining the light of gratitude Hannah. This scenic walks of yours just make one grateful for what he has around despite this depressing pandemic.
There is a lot I have to appreciate here. Looking forward to when others can also :)

It's been a while since I discovered your videos.
It's a novel, a fiction, and philosophy
The music adds to it.
I mean, this is art.
WOW I miss Autumn in Japan.
You got some amazing shots! Love it!
Omg those colors are stunning. I live in the desert so sadly I don't get to see trees that are that beautiful on a regular basis.
Wow 😍 such natural beauty and very relaxing and cinematic. Such a unique spot! and beautiful composition as always!

Nara park looks amazingly beautiful...makes me want to travel Japan..

Wish this year can go to japan 🥱
That “scream” made me think you were doing a true crime doc
3:03 "Fenton. Fenton!!! Fentonnnnnnnnn!!!!!"
Yeah, Nara is less touristy and bustling than Kyoto and a chill place to go to.
Incredible deer scenes!
So poetic
beautiful.
