How to Use Mercedes Benz Cruise Control

From looking online I did not find many videos on how to use cruise control especially on a Mercedes car, so here is my take on proper use of the cruise control stalk.

To be honest, steering wheel buttons are way more convenient for cruise control than any kind of stalk. You don't even have to lift a single finger of the steering wheel to use them, just move your thumb - you know which function is where perfectly after just a few km.
I completely agree, never liked the stalk design.
@@NightHawkMotors I'm looking for a medium van right now and that's one of the reasons I would choose the new Transporter (T6.1 I think?) over a Vito - T6.1 use buttons for cruise control. I hope Mercedes will rethink their design, same goes for other stalks - wiper's stalk is on the wrong side, and autotransmission stalk being in it's place is sometimes mistaken for the wiper's one, which can lead to a huge surprise and a possible mishap on the highway.
cruise control stock on wrong side. it should have been on the right side. not everyone drives with two hands on the wheel. toyota prius has cruise control on the right side which is way convenient.

Mercedes engineers weren't thinking on this one. There should be an "on" button other than a simple toggle up or down. The reason is that not long after I purchased my Mercedes, I inadvertently activated the cruise control when I hit the turn signal for a righthand turn. When that happened, I was driving on the freeway and couldn't understand why suddenly my car was downshifting to decrease my speed. It took me a while to figure out how to turn it off. That cruise control, like most other cars, needs a designated toggle to turn it on.

Tom Bleecker Can’t really blame Mercedes though. You could’ve just read the manual. I agree though, there should be a button.
@@GoalkeeperzTM, it's not a matter of blame, but rather constructive observation as a Mercedes owner. The problem is more than not having a button and has to do with the placement of the lever, which is in the same line as the turn signal. My wife created the same error, and she knew where the cruise control was. Now that we're aware of this potential inadvertent activation of the cruise control, we don't do it.
I have a new shape E350 and there is a button on the end which you press for on and off to start it

I somehow put on a speed limit so my car wouldn't go faster than 20kmh (12mph). idk
