I’m 72 years old and I found out about Richard Pryor in 1973 and I owned every record he recorded.
Mr. Richard Pryor rest in peace.
Where you get there from? And how can I come across them?
@@marcelwilliams16 I went to every record store that was cities I was stationed near. Also the exchanges on base always carried his albums. My favorite dream was to see him live in concert. He went to my hometown, New Orleans, but I was on an operation and couldn’t get there.
My stepdad was pretty chill. He let me watch Richard Pryor and Saturday Night Live before I was 10 years old. Probably why I got hooked on comedy so hard.
@marcelwilliams16 now you can find Richard Prior's comedy albums on Vinyl, cassette tapes, CD's, and DVD's at used record stores (also their online shops), and the ubiquitous eBay...
That is crazy. I bet they're worth a fortune.
That was ridiculously funny.😂
Thats why Richard is the BEST
He can tell a story
Was
A wasted politician ?
He was certainly the original king of comedy may he rest in peace in peace
Redundant much?
Not to mention his performance back in the day on Saturday Night Live in the 70s point counterpoint go look it up. It’s hysterical. Couldn’t do that today in America, but it is a classic. I can remember where I was who I was with and what we were all doing when we saw itbring back the 70s man I want to go back and do it all over but I can’t go back. I know that’s what Eddie Money sang.
Also in peace
In peace also
Stereo then. One for the right, one for the left.
The Original King of Comedy.
Richard Pryor and Redd Foxx were the 2 comedians my parents whoop my @zz when they found them albums under my bed. Never mind the Playboy and Hustler magazines.
The Michael Jordan of comedy!! He is the standard by which all are measured!!
This man pioneered raw offensive humor
@@AngelGuzman-f9cum I do believe you are forgetting about Redd Foxx.
Yes he was, stir crazy was funny as hades
It’s funny because he mixes reality with his jokes.
Truly someone who can tell a great tale and entertain people.
Richard Pryor is one of the greatest comedians ever
“They don’t F you in jail because you like it, they want to see that look on your face.” 😂😂😂😂😂
If he die and come back…. He got to go the penitentiary 😂😂😂
You know what you did last time you waz here!
@@Stranglethroat😂😂😂
F**k kindergarden..get yo a$$ to prison.
In seriousness some prisoner had the death penalty and they did a botched execution on him . Technically he did die but he came back alive somehow . I think they let him go or he legally tried to be set free because he was pronounced legally dead .
My Dad introduced me to Richard Pryor in about 01' 14years old. When he bought Richard Pryor Live in Long Beach. Best Stand-Up Set I've ever seen.. The Man is an absolute Genius. May you Rest Easy Richard R.I.P. 🙏
Eddie Murphy actually turned down an offer to do a Richard Pryor biopic because he knew the man personally. Man was his mentor.
He could impersonate Richard Pryor amazingly!!
Both legends. If you want to hear the best Pryor impression search "Godfrey"
Cause nobody can be Richard Pryor
Why turn it down then?🤔
@@andreharris7303 Out of respect.
I remember seeing this in the theater when it came out. Never laughed harder before or since.
Ditto!
Elephant In The Room came close but didn’t do it like this
2005 i did a stint in the Los Angeles county jail and they played this. The whole dorm went crazy, first time i seen all races standing together laughing and forgetting about the politics of the times..
Rip Richard Pryor
Like the live version of Folsom Prison that Johnny Cash performed there and everyone went crazy for the line “but I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die.”
Richard Pryor and George carlin the mount Olympus of comedy. period.
There's an episode of Epic Rap Battles of History between those two.
Well said .
Before them it was Red Foxx and Lenny Bruce.
@ryk1265 both great but carlin and Pryor are 1 and 2 forever with either being #1 and no one would argue that
Pat mf'n Morita.
RIP
This was, and still is, the funniest comedian, in my opinion. He makes me laugh till I bust a gut to this day. Rest in peace, Rich. Aloha!
Truly, one of the great comics!
You misspelled Greatest.
I watched this in Chicago when I was 15. I pulled a muscle in my stomach from laughing that still bothers me today if I laugh to hard. Thank You Richard Pryor.
I love him as an actor and comedian.
Met Richard while filming superman 3 in Canada. Was coming back from a party, bout 5 AM and he's walking alone down some stairs, outside. Talked a bit an he signed my hat. Super nice guy, love his movies, FUNNY. RIP Richard. Take care man
They was home. 😂😂😂😅😅😅
Cracks me up every time 🤣🤣🤣🤣
There's a stunning amount of logic in the answer if you can get past the fact that he murdered all of the people in the house. I still laugh.
The GOAT simply being the GOAT!
The man is a comedic genius. Fantastic artist and intellectual.
CC UK, thanks for not beeping out the King!
Richard pryor was awesome
I love Rich, can you imagine how the internet would react to his comedy if it was more mainstream now.
What are you talking about?
@southsidesaiyan8641 As ever with older comedy videos, probably some nonsense whining about "kids nowadays".
Richard Pryor was a gem
A legendary comedian 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"They was home." Y'all, the scream I scroam...
My favorite of all time! RIP Richard ! ❤
I remember a friend and I listening to this album and we were about 14 yr old. It was her older brother’s and I had never heard anything like this man. This album was mind blowing. This man is the one who started it all. Every famous comic today owes a debt of gratitude to this man.
The joke about no black people in Arizona is killer. I live in AZ and he's right
That joke went over a lot of heads
Man Legend R.I.P Richard Pryor ❤❤🙏
Just a MASTER. Thank YOU Richard.
Eddie Murphy’s red, leather outfit in “Delirious” reminds me of Richard Pryor’s suit in this concert - although Eddie says that his leather outfit was bought at the last minute because his preferred suit got a stain on it.
Great observation. A lot of their delivery is the same to.
@@NobleNobbler Eddie is very much on record as having viewed Richard as a mentor. A great comic emulating a great comic. Not a terrible recipe, eh?
Eddie admittedly was/is an huge Elvis fan..all those leather suits, per Eddie, was a copy of Elvis and his outfits. He was mimic'ing Elvis.
When Richard and Robin hung out no one had dry eyes. R.I.P. to Mr. Pryor for all his genuine genius.
And they all had the sniffles 😂
@@TheWhipsnap 🤫
“They was home” 😂😂😂😂
Richard is the King because he didn’t have to fabricate much, he modeled his comedy stories after real life events.
He had ability to tell things in funny way. He also wasn't afraid of telling of himself. Feuding injuries with Carlin spring to mind and peak with Pryor lighting himself on fire.
Don't forget Billy Connolly 🤘🤘🤘
The greatest stand up ever to exist, really great fun to watch him acting along side Gene Wilder-(stir crazy).
That man is still comedic gold.
The greatest of all time Rip Mr Richard Pryor
They was home. 😂😂
Richard was unbelievable funny, and a mentor to so many comedians! RIP
One word for Richard Pryor BRILLIANT
He killed it! Awesome
don't f up the suit, that's what we gonna bury him in 😂
the G.O.A.T
Rich was one of the greatest
Yeah & the titanic the B-52 bomber & WNC were all “one of the best”!
One of the greatest comedians EVER!
Every true comedian gets inspiration from this legend! ❤❤❤
What a great storyteller.
Richard Pryor stood alone.
Richard Pryor, comic genius.period.
I met him in like 1985. My dad was a huge fan and I was at a video game arcade in Marina Del Ray. I could not believe it was him. He was really nice. My dad was so jealous.😅
Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Robin Williams, Chris Rock….that’s it for me.
Growing up in the 1980s, I was only familiar with Richard Pryor through the numerous comedy films he did. I didn't see any of his stand ups until the 1990s and it was quite different. The films were family friendly flicks. His stand ups were not. Obviously he wasn't the only comedian to do it like that. It just surprised me is all.
RIP Richard.
THE OG OF COMEDY YALL 😂❤
He was the greatest.
Best comedian to ever live.
I have him tied with George Carlin for almost all of the same reasons. Those two are the comedy Diarchy.
Love Richard Pryor, him and Gene Wilder will always be my favourite comedy duo. Rest In Peace mates
Idc what anyone says, Richard Pryor, Bernie Mac, Robin Williams, the true kings of stand up comedy
“ I ain’t scared of you muthafuckas”
Facts!!!
Take out the Salt
Add Billy Connolly to that list
@@capricekobain2996what’s wrong with Robin Williams?
I have both on dvd.
Me too!
Love the vulgarity or not. Richard Pryor was one of the greatest. Rest in peace Richard ( P.S., don't go f'n with those lions 😂).🤗👍
Vulgarity is a part of life.
................................ snake ..............................
One of the funniest people ever.
This was a true gem. Richard at his finest!
My older brother bought a Richard Pryor's stand-up Show in a record album.
I played it over and over again. I think I was eight years old😅
"That means if you die and come back you gotta go to the penitentiary" I remember I laughed so hard when he said that :)
A true legend🔥
In comedy terms, Mr Untouchable 👊❤️
Richard Prior - The primary writer for the Mel Brooks movie 'Blazing Saddles', he wrote lines that the actors uncomfortable saying but he convinced them that if the movie was going to hit the raw nerves of the audience then they needed to be said and Ceavon Little agreed. Kudos to the entire crew for ignoring the studio and making the film as it needed to be made.
Richard Pryor most definitely top 3
It’s that George Carlin style of gritty dark comedy that’s also hilarious. I’m sad I didn’t find Pryors stuff earlier in my life
When I was a kid around 12 we got showtime on cable. I remember staying up late and watching this and being amazed how funny and what great trimming Richard had. Many have come after him but he is the godfather of comedy.
This guy is really funny. I hope he makes a comeback.
Richard would still be king if he was alive
He told the truth
😂
GOAT
One of the greatest ever Rip .. 🇬🇧
He was gifted for sure.
I have that record 😂😂😂😂
Me too .... 😂😂😂
@@walterrichardson9412 IT'S a album

Richard was in Arizona chilling with Gross burger 😅
Legend
The greatest! RIP
J.Cole used this bit on his Born Sinner album 😂
The GOAT of all comics!
A great man. Richard got "it." Made fun of ALL of us. Tough growing up in Peoria and it didn't destroy him. Easier to quote than many philosophers. Nuff said
Triple life 😂😂
I love you Richard Pryor u are the best comedian ever infinity
Simply da best
I miss this man
His stuff is timeless! 😅
So this is where The Weeknd got his outfit idea for his After Hours album and videos. XD
The best at the time!
Richard prior and Gene Wilder were so perfect together
This man was the best at his craft 🫡
...just to see that look on your face. Classic!
Stir Crazy..in my top 3 fav comedy films of all time.
I sure do miss this fella!😊
Goat
The way he spoke, the maneurisms, the way he walks…all of the was borrowed by Murphy in Delirious….
Totally agree
He new how to deliver.
only ever heard of him before watching this , ngl he lives up to the expectation !
