I agree pete has a calming voice, i had the last video of when he was working on the tractor playing yesterday while i did some bread baking I'd rather listen to that then tv or radio. My favorite moment was when Titus trotted up to you for a greeting and back scratch before turning into that inviting field of delicious grazing. Not something that would happen, or be safe, with most breeds or with cattle raised without hands-on kindness every day.

@@johncosgrove4896 lol. I have currently been doing that. A lot of it really hits home for me. I spent summers in my childhood on my grandads ranch in bastrop, tx that was a lot like just a few acres. There’s lots of nostalgia for me plus they are very decent people.

South Texas Cattle and Hay saying good morning!!!😁. Your pastures are looking nice and green for your winter pasture's. Your calves are nice and thick and healthy. We are darn lucky that we don't get severe winters in the lower tip of Texas and even get to cut and bale hay in November if weather permits. Both of you have a blesses weekend!!!

Building a wall is definitely a skill, just like digging a hole. My dad was a builder and he taught me to dig a hole. To this day it amazes me how few people can dig properly. I was bogged with a bunch of guys planting pine trees in the mountains once and not one could dig the wheel out, so I took the shovel and showed them how. Someone there is that loves a wall . . .
Watching your videos makes me reevaluate my life. I also want to have a peaceful life on such a farm.

I love watching you lead the cattle. Reminds me of my grandfather 60+ years ago. We didn’t use salt blocks. He salted the cattle and sheep from a sack. Both would follow him anywhere if he has a sack slung over his shoulder. Salting time was special to him. Gave him time to relax and admire his livestock.

Hi Pete, my husband has been hooked on your videos! Same jokes between my husband and 14 yr old Grandson that you tell. I just love it. And the positive way of life is comforting in an all too often crowded busy world out here in Southern California. Blessings to you and Hilary , and your beautiful family. Wish we could go shopping at the farmers market out there. The stuff you cook looks great. The natural food you grow and sell would be great to feed my family.

Don't know about anyone else, but when the inevitable happens I'll miss Patty and Tulip howling to high heaven when ever they see their "human staff". Happy to see your weather and fall are both improving. Our trees have been teasing with tiny bits of color until we got real temperature drops this week. I loved the dark, windy, rainy days we had but only because I didn't have to go out. My husband, poor guy, did go out and had no fun hauling in wood for the stove. Oh well. Take care till next time.

Liked that you stopped to admire the trees, they are so pretty AND looking at the rocks for fossils...my father was a geologist so I too take note of rocks :)

Hello Pete & Hillary..thank you for the tour around the farm..I am an older gal...and back in the day we had a very large farm about 19 miles west from Brockville along the St. Lawrence River in Ontario Canada..we farmed for about twenty years..we had the sugar maples all over..and they where spectacular in color come fall...we raised beef cattle also...done the same as you both are doing..but hubby and I worked full time jobs ....but watching the cattle and seeing the trees start to turn...just brought back so many happy memories...of farm life with our four children..bless your heart and have a good weekend...

I really enjoy it when you go out to the field she’s a cattle and the baby cash. You have some very nice ones this year and it was nice seeing the surgeon a ration of calves and the coloration as it has changed over the last couple of years! I noticed you don’t have any white face calves..Do you think you ever will? I took some snapshots of his video today because the grass is so green with the clover and then the clouds in the blue sky and the beautiful cattle I’m so close to you.. makes for a beautiful paining😂❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
I love it when you work on the old tractors but I don’t love it when it’s one video after another after another because I miss seeing the cattle & other animals…The piggies of sugar in the big do you head out in the field and definitely no longer afraid of you or the camera.!! Does that one particular weird often caused you trouble with grounding problems around the other livestock meaning, pigs and poultry? It’s so, can you treat for it over the winter??

Watching you guys pull that twine off reminds me of the rope making machine my uncle built. You could tie a bunch of used bailing twine together with the two ends of the rig at either end of Grandma's yard. Then one of us cousins could crank away while another would try to hold the spacer. It was always good if you could pile a couple of the littler cousins on the sled end. Fun use for all that left over twine.

We are in Los Lunas, NM (south of Albuquerque) and this morning our temp was a crisp 46°. Color on the river is starting to show. The International Balloon fiesta starts tomorrow, that's pretty much the kickoff to the holiday seasons.
