Thanks for the video and all of your interesting decks.
Hadn't seen the wiki price page before. I have ended up almost always using goatbots for selling my draft cards. They didn't show up on the wiki but they have pretty good prices and are a reliable place to leave my credits. They update their prices very regularly too.

I personally love these extra videos like the rogue market etc. looking forward to seeing more of these in the manner of the last couple of days! ;)

Great, I'm actually trying to get back into mtgo so the timing is really good :) I didn't even noticed yet we could post our own ads!
There's also a few free bots around, to anyone who just wants to try mtgo and play some pauper or something, before committing too much

You should make a little section in your show talking about your failed brews pointing out what is wrong with the cards that you put together. Sort of a how to avoid making a bad deck kind of series. You would be talking about the synergy of cards and whether or not the deck would be relevant throughout the game and why overall it would fail. Learning from failures is just as important as learning from victories.

It's hard for me to put money into MTGO since I don't actually get any physical product. Only thing keeping me away from it

DCAMM720 Cardboard vs Pixels. Neither are necessarily "real".

Rogue Deckbuilder Cardboard is my property. As far as real world uses, and possibly intrinsically, it's useless, sure. However, pixels is a license to use it. Drop 1000 dollars in MTGO and MTGO goes away, can't sell those cards anymore or play with them. Computer hard drives crashes, can't play Magic. Internet goes out, can't play Magic.
It's like buying digital games vs. the physical disc. Just my two cents. If I'm spending money it better be something I can use/hold/sell.

DCAMM720 except that the market for MTGO and associated "fake cards" is nearly as large as the paper counterpart…so if u do ever decide to "sell out" you can do so very easily, and end up with real, not "fake" money.

MTG Mitch Eh I disagree. I'm not saying there's no market but it isn't nearly as big nor as accessible for me personally. Either way if I can accidentally close the window to my Magic game, I don't really like it.

they ask u twice are u sure you want to drop from an event, won't let u X out by accident. and you'd be surprised, id say the actual buying/selling market is nearly as big, despite the player base being smaller…bot chains are essentially LGS's with an ever present buy list... different strokes though.

Curious, what is your opinion on Goatbot? While Mtgotraders might be good for buying cards with real money, i dislike that i cant just see an overview of their bot prices.
I usually do a check with goldfish and wikiprice as well, but often find that the goatbot price is just better or comparable to the best price on wikiprice.

Tjesse van der Wal Goatbot definitely does have good prices. I used to use it before I started using mtgowikiprice.

I tried doing exactly what you did, going to wikiprice, searching for a card I want, finding bots offering for the price I want, which according to the site have multiple copies in stock, but when I go to MTGO to trade, they don't have the cards. They just aren't there. 5 of them are from Apocalypse block which I know is a while ago, but one is from Dragon's Maze so I don't understand why I can't find it. Anyone else have this problem?

What's the assumed currency? When he said "Human Buying Surgical Extraction for 3," what is that 3? Dollars, or Event Tickets?

+MTGOTraders Thanks for the info. MTGOTraders bots are basically my go to bots for non standard cards. Competitive prices, always stocked, thanks for running such a great service.

also play the stocks, check often and buy cards from the current block when they are cheap, i bought 4 temple of enlightenment for 8 tickets last year, i sold them last week for 40 tickets, they just spiked up in price and i sold them big, same with hero's downfall i bought them for 2.5 sold them for 5 and i bought them again for 3.
also go to MTG Goldfish and see prices that go down, some people get lazy with bots and have a buy thats higher then sell so like selling for 8 tickets and the bot is buying for 9 tickets

Xearodeath Yeah! My stony silence speculation made me about 300 tickets!

Honestly I was so excited to play MTGO thinking that it was actually cheaper then paper but I was wrong to me MTGO is more expensive then buying paper cards, if A card costs 0.03 cents in paper and 0.03 tix online then your actually paying $1 online it may say it’s only 0.03 tix but it doesn’t matter it uses the entire tix, so if you want four of that same card IRL it’ll be less then $1 but online it’s $4 that’s insane and pointless I’d rather save my money then spend it for no reason, yea sure you can buy a few cards from bots and they will actually only take the 0.03 tix but I’ve yet to find a bot selling the cards I’m looking for so I’m really disappointed

I got into playing mtgo because the closest store I can play at is 30 miles away. So while I may be able to get to the store maybe once every two to three weeks I can play online anytime I choose. I have bought cards online via mtgoacademy.com several times and find them quite reasonable on prices and the exchange smooth and fast.
