      there still seems to be a bit of room for improvement. feel like control and boros land destruction/energy is gonna have a field day against you

      That deck can definitely be a problem, but you can't beat every deck.. Hoping for quick Trinisphere and no Phantom 😅

    I really hope this deck survived the meta and bans so I can build it

      It won't always be the best choice, but depending on whatever the top decks are, it can certainly prey on those. It'll always be fine though I think.

      @@MikeDeVo1 yeah it looked shaky in the mirror and against mill, but I haven't been able to play a prison deck in commander and pioneer so it looks fun

    Wow, i missed 3 vids. Better to get back and watch em.
    Loved games vs mill and another prison tron. They were real good.

      You did miss a lot! MH3 is juicy with content and these decks are really fun!

    G2 against mill, you had an emy, aeons torn in hand and a cookbook exiled. You should have grabbed the exiled cookbook with karn and discarded the emy, instead of grabbing liquimetal coating from sb. Would have been a lot quicker than discarding to hand size.

    • @MikeDeVo1
      @MikeDeVo1  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At 14:55 they countered cookbook. I don't think it ever went to exile unless I'm missing something? But that could be the play otherwise.

    If you run gemstone you could potentially get trinisphere out on Turn 1 for the real salt

    • @MikeDeVo1
      @MikeDeVo1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Haha I did want to find room for one, but land spots are tight. I'd be down to try a one of and just add a land though for that maximum salt.

      @@MikeDeVo1 I remember with some other modern decks like living end always having 1 main and then swapping it out for a sideboard slot if we were on the play. But that also feels hard with tron decks running baby karn because your sideboard becomes so much more valuable.

    • @MikeDeVo1
      @MikeDeVo1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For sure.. I also find it difficult fitting in all the sb cards I want for KGC too, but it could be awesome!

    I think it's fantastic, what do you think about building it on paper? Would you advise? Also what do you think about worn powerstone in the side?

    • @MikeDeVo1
      @MikeDeVo1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks! I think it's a competitive deck and I'm currently building it in paper as well. Powerstone in side is viable to fetch against moon effects, but it's pretty slow. I can take or leave it, but it depends on your meta I'd say.

    I love this deck, i see a lot of potential to adapt to different metagames. One question, did you ever missed 3rd and 4th copies of emrakul world anew? I have seen lists with 4 and seems kinda excesive to me.

    • @MikeDeVo1
      @MikeDeVo1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I love it too, it's so sweet! I didn't miss the additional copies and sadly didn't even get to cast one. There's many ways you can build the deck which include more Emmy and Cookbooks. I'll probably try a dedicated Emmy Cookbook deck in the future.

    Have you considered the new all land types card? For consistency with tron.

    Do you have a SB guide? Planning on building this and it has been a while since I played a deck like this.

    • @MikeDeVo1
      @MikeDeVo1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't have a sb guide for this deck yet. Since we are a Karn board, there's not much swapping other than siding in Haywire Mites for obvious match ups where you need life or anti Blood Moon. You can board out the more top end slower cards in those match ups where you're most likely not casting them anyway.

    I don't see this as a prison deck. Sure, it runs some prison cards, but a prison deck looks to set up a game state which makes a key element of the opponents game plan difficult, if not impossible, to play. This deck has no game lock. Things like vexing bauble + omen machine, ensnaring bridge + bottled cloister, these are locks that prevent the opponent from playing some element of the game. I see why you went the route you did, turn 1 chalice is crippling against a ton of decks, but the plan isn't very consistent which makes me question if it's even worth it, especially when a turn 2 chalice is just as effective if you can handle thier one drop plays they may have sneaked in.
    Also, white has access to an artifact that would allow bouncing the one ring every turn to be replayed, creating another lock.
    Honestly, as long as you have 4 karn, an artifact based prison deck kind of builds itself, and you don't even need tron to do it, it just helps with the more expensive costed cards which don't really need to be played until you would likely have the mana for it with out tron.

    • @MikeDeVo1
      @MikeDeVo1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I see what ya mean. Less Prison than the previous Prison Tron decks I've played on this channel and same with my Lantern decks. But it's Prison enough where it has the locks you mentioned and is not just "normal Tron". Appreciate your vast insight!
