45:30 the 2 cuts you were looking for against grinding station were Ensnaring Bridges 💁♂️ Also Torpor Orb might have been the card you were desperate to find with whir at the end of g3. Maybe good to board in next time ?
Yes those would have been good cuts, I guess I'm more used to them having a better backup plan Orb wouldn't really do much there, it doesn't stop the combo and they have answer that they'd hit when their whole deck is in the gy
22:31 I also came in after Opal got banned and decided Scales would be my first deck So excited it’s back, though I’m not sure I’ll be able to play it considering Opals are so expensive and I also don’t have cauldrons kek
being not as familiar with the blasting station deck, felt like in game 1 where you went for cage you should have just gone for needle because how were they ever beating needle on station? game 2 i think you're biggest rush is trying to disrupt them when you have a small hand and not a lot of tools to interact. Should have probably just fired off thoughtseize on turn 2 or held up extirpate. Game 3 I think you just thoughtseize the breach, then plan to extirpate it the next turn because again how do they beat that? I don't know if i'm missing something here on those plays, and game 2 was definitely the most unsure since you didn't have much work with, but it just felt to me like shutting off or getting rid of their combo pieces they need to win should be top priority. If you can just stop them from winning on the spot you'll have time to draw into pieces to keep them from maybe backdooring into something later. Also while I know life loss is a real thing, your mana base frequently made the combo of thoughtseize and extirpate awkward because of only one black source and not being able to use them in the same cycle and surgical extraction will never have this problem. Surgical is also great for helping get your hand empty faster and just being faster in general when your deck wants to set up as quickly as it can.
We are so fucking back
We're sooo back
And our favourite adversary Twin too. Its like old times
Your in depth commentary and knowledge of the deck is so refreshing. Instant sub!
thanks for uploading the games :) its fun to hear your thought process on lines and how to pilot the deck, its really interesting to me
Loved playing Lantern from 2014-2018 before leaving the game until this year. and HOLY CRAP Opal is so expensive now! Might build an Opal-less build 🥲
The price jumped since the unban. A couple weeks ago it was just $80.
Opal is back, my goat is back! So happy to watch your videos again!
Love that lantern is making a comeback.
All is well once more.
yoooo the gg troll from a LANTERN player hahahaha! Too funny.

Oh hey, I was hoping the unban would bring you back!

I knew youd make a come back
Letsgooooo
Most opponents in this league look kinda inexperienced against lantern, likely newschool modern players.
Would you consider making your hand bigger in future uploads? Might be more pleasant to look at
Will do, gotta figure out setup again
Yesssss
cut a glimmer void for academy ruins cut 1 inquisition and 1 cage for two trophy main I would suggest
This deck is like an ugly girlfriend, you love her anyway
