    Very interesting. After serving 13 years in the US Navy as a Boiler Technician, I swore I would never get greasy again. So far, so good. That impact is a bear. God Bless You, and as always BE SAFE!

    When I was in the shop we would always put anti-seize on the bolts going back together

      That’s a good idea specially on those shock bolts. They get gunky in the winter

    Nice video brother. It is crazy how easy shocks are. My first time replacing shocks was two weeks ago on our Chevelle. Other than saving money doing it yourself it also just feels awesome knowing you can and did do it. Keep up the killer work brother! Oh and let's be honest, if Heather wasn't there this would of never happened. Thank God for mechanic Heather! Haha

    Advice
    Always check the shocks even if they brand new some times they are returns and freight liner sell them back .
    You can put little grease on screw so you won’t suffer to take them out .
    You could bought the gun online with battery for 350$ eBay

    Next time you are by Harbor Freight, get some rubber gloves. I think they come in a box of 100 and help prevent greasy hands doing jobs like that. And surprisingly, they don't tear as easy as you would expect. I've used them for jobs like pulling and reinstalling a hub and drum on my car hauler and can get through the job with one pair of gloves.

    Where you get your impact wrench at

  • @SteelyPaw
    @SteelyPaw 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Gabriel makes a great high quality shock.. I used to run the air filled on my race car when I was in my teens or a tad older... Being I'm retired @ almost 66, they have been in business for a long time... Another good quality shock is Ranchero Shocks. I run them on my 1997 Custom Jeep Cherokee HD because the original shocks were not long enough when I added the heavy longer springs. I've had them on my Jeep for at least 10 years now, and even though I don't drive it much, they are holding up just as if they were new.... Great Video Jason!!!!!! Next time make Heather get all dirty crawling under the truck.. Nothing like having a dirty girl, hahahahh (joking)... Love the impact too... Since I'm home in my garage, I still use the air type since I have it and the air compressor. A note to the cost of the Gun, you did not figure in the cost you spend sitting around waiting for someone to work on your truck and the inconvenience not to mention the cost of loosing a possible load, so the impact gun could respectfully pay for it's self the first or second time you use it. As always, thumbs up, and I wish you good loads and safe driving.....

    Hey there, fellow LEA drivers! We were just trying to order shocks for our M2 112. Do you know if the front and rear shocks are the same? I am finding ones for the rear and the cab, and some that say shocks for our kind of truck, but nothing specifically for the front, so I was wondering if there was just one size, for all of them. Thank you, in advance, for any insight you might be able to offer on that!

      Most O/O do their own vehicle maintenance. And you don't have to send any report in to DOT. You do need to keep maintenance records, regardless whether you do it or pay to have it done.
