YES Thank you Rich for asking Coach Smith "Does it PISS YOU OFF" ( In regards to the dismantling of the PAC 12 ) Because Every PAC 12 Fan is heart broken

OSU has won 10 games in a season 3 times. In the history of the program. Two of those times, a guy named Jonathan Smith was involved. That's how much that guy means to this program.

I've been avoiding listening to stuff related to the Pac# dismantling. Just so frustrating watching all the old traditions and rivalries get so little regard, let alone the geographic absurdity... opposite corners of the country. Some good frequent flyer miles padding. 🙄

The turnaround I've gotten to witness live during my time at OSU has been nothing short of awesome, and it's all thanks to Jonathan Smith. Possibly the best coach Oregon State has had ever

Ummm There was some guy named Dennis Erickson that you might not have heard of.....
Among just few of Coach Erickson's accomplishments
      2× National champion (1989, 1991) with Miami
      Big Sky champion (1985)
      2× Pac-10 champion (2000, 2007)
      3× Big East champion (1991-1992, 1994)
2× Sporting News College Football COY (1992, 2000)
      3× Pac-10 Coach of the Year (1988, 2000, 2007)
3× Big East Coach of the Year (1991-1992, 1994)
State of Washington Sports Hall of Fame (2017)
In the 2000 Season Coach Erickson coached the Beavers to an 11- 1 Record with a total Blowout of Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl.

Ok but Jonny has turned a 1-11 team into a power 5 beast and this year beavs can easily go 11-1 with that schedule maybe better

@@thelastjohnwayne I mean, if you want to get technical, Jonathan was a part of that turnaround too, so tough to argue with a guy that's turned the program around twice! XD

This aged well. You can't count OSU out of the Pac12 with that QB and a line that ran like they did last year.
People forget they beat down Oregon and didn't even pass the ball.

Always enjoy listening to Coach Smith. Clearly he's a thinker and very passionate about what he does, but he also has that level-headed teacher personality where you know you're smarter for having listened to him. Go Beavs!

I know I'm pissed, been following the Beavs since Dee Andro's days.
Been so many bad years but now that the program seems to have finally turned the corner the Beavs get screwed.
Big money from TV rights has ruined football.
If Beavs go, so do I.
I'm sure OSU and WSU fans will turn the ole TV off next year.

As an Oregon alumni, I couldn't have any more respect for this guy. Him and Joey Harrington both were huge for the state, but man coach smith is even keeled and such a pro. My heart goes out to all beaver nation, and I'd love for them to retain rights to the pac and at least get some bread from it. I suppose a big 12 spot or big "10" wouldn't be bad either, but is sucks to see the pac go.

WSU and Oregon State are the two best schools in the Pac 12 anyhow. They are both Colleges from the Original Pac 8. They are both just doing what needs to be done but they are fair and not trying to take advantage of the other schools just doing what is just, correct and fair. The schools leaving are short sighted. The Pac 12 has always been known as one of the best programs around. This year the Pac 12 has as much talent as any other division. Just think all the schools that moved. Their chess teams, volleyball, etc are going to have to travel all the way across the country for many of their games. It just shows a lack of interests in the students education. I mean going from California to Maryland for swim meets, etc? Short sited and greedy and for what??? Getting rid of rivalries and hurting education. My hope is WSU and Oregon State will bring in the best teams they can find and have at least a Pac 8 thats as competitive as many of the other divisions. I think both WSU and Oregon State are ranked in the top 23. In fact around 9 teams of the Pac 12 are in the top 25. That is one reason the Pac 12 does not compete as often for the national title. Its division is to good and everyone gets a loss or two because of playing each other. Look at the Pac 12 record against non conference teams. I think they are 30 wins with 1 loss. And that includes some top teams that we beat. Anyway I feel the later teams that left they had no choice. Even if its the Pac 2 the winner of the Pac gets to play in the rose bowl so if its only WSU and Oregon State the winner of the games will play in the Rose Bowl!
