- During the college football game between Oregon State and Oregon, Oregon rallied from a 31-10 deficit late in the third quarter to stun Oregon with a 38-34 win. Following the victory, OregoN State fans stormed the field to celebrate.

So Oregon decided to go for it on 4 & 1 at their own 32 while up by 3.... and they decided to do a quarterback run... with an injured quarterback. Absolute golden play calling right there
…and they attempted that against Washington a couple weeks earlier and it had the same result- which was easy points for their opponent. Coaching is curious at best. Oregon seems to be “all hat but no cattle” as they say in ranch country.
When I saw the shotgun on 4th down, I’m thinking y’all better be passing it or this is the dumbest play call I’ve seen. Nathaniel Hackett would be so proud.

Had the privilege to watch this one live. The QB sneak TD featuring the fumble that popped out but safely returned just shows this was meant to be the Beavs day. 4th quarter was the definition of a momentum swing. Very unique comeback.
That grace of luck was karma for how clear the refs made it that they wanted Oregon to win this game
As an Oregon State alum, we owe this win to the same guy that led the team to our best season ever when he played QB for us in the 2000-2001 season, and that's head coach Johnathon Smith. He has given life to what was an absolutely dead football program just a few years ago.

2000-2001 was the season where they finished 11-1, and humiliated Notre Dame 41-9 in a Fiesta Bowl which included Smith connecting with Chad (Ochocinco) Johnson for 2 TDs .

So with this, 6 Pac-12 teams have a record of 9-3 or better. Insane
And yet the Pac12 is considered "Garbage" because they can't produce a playoff team.
This is why automatic bids for conference champions is a no brainer.

as an Oregon student and fan this doesn't surprise me, I happened to be hiking downhill on spencer butte at the same time the team was going up to commemorate spencer web back in July. about 7 or so groups of players in their column going up asked me how much further the top is... i think that says something about the attitude of some of our players.
Damn, that would be like if OSU players were complaining about the hike up bald hill. Something that should be very easy for collegiate athletes to do. Context for anyone not familiar with these areas, the trails are like a mile and a half and have an elevation gain of 700 ft or so.

If they had a good qb, like the one they recruited in aidan chiles then they will be very tough to beat. If number 9 oregon can't win with 2 interceptions I can see the beavs doing just about anything. Damien martinez almost had 1000 yards with six starts. The other games he was a third string, he has had 100 yds in every start too. The defense was also good enough to stop oregon over and over again. We also held usc to 17 and shut down caleb Williams until the 4th. You take away 4 picks in that game and the beavs would have crushed them. This team is for real, they have a very bright future and I can't wait to see how it plays out!
You all were doing well against my Utes, too. But for some reason, they kept passing. Especially against Clark Phillips III.

Oregon States run game is actually insane
Such a fantastic game and win for the Beaves!! As a 42 year old native Corvallisite and OSU alumni, this was a sweet sweet win!! A lot of “strikes and gutters” over the years but nothing is sweeter than winning The Civil War!! (The oldest rivalry in college football)!!

The best OSU in the country
There's a huge difference between TH-cam segments on this game. Those that shown from the OSU perspective and have a comment section that skews heavily toward the Beavers talks mostly about it being a great college football game with an exciting finish. They also talk about how well the Beavers played and how great it is to see such a big turn around in the Beavers in the past 4 to 5 years. But on the channels that are hosted by long time Duck fans, all you hear is negativity - they rarely talk about the play on the field. It's all about making excuses for why the Ducks lost and aren't going anywhere in the post season (again!). But the biggest bitch the Duck fans have today is just how terrible their coaches are. They rarely talk about lack of execution on the field by the Ducks. Nope, it's all the coaches fault. And if it wasn't the coach's fault, then they blame the refs or some other excuse that doesn't include blaming their losses on poor play on the field.
Preach it! Beav fans are full of pride and duck fans are full of themselves!
But don't forget......Ducks fans are the ones that were OK with some @ssholes in their crowd chanting "F*ck the Mormons." Well, f*ck the Ducks.

Take away the 4 INTs vs Utah and that would have been a close game, too! They're looking great this year, run game is unstoppable.

Let’s also not ignore my Roadrunners today. Down 24-0 at one point and ended up winning 34-31 against UTEP. Had a rough rough start to the game, but they picked it up, defense came in when needed, and we stormed back to another season of double digit wins

Similar to the 2016 Oregon-Oregon State game, Oregon State called all running plays from about seven minutes left in the 3rd, down by 10, they won by 10. Of course during the second half it was pretty much a downpour.

People outside of Oregon always underestimate this rivalry. Yes they aren't as consistently good. But their rivalry is intense just as much as OSU/Mich or Bana/Auburn
As a Ducks fan, this is only slightly better than Washington but still hurts like a semi-truck hit me.

I watched this on the way home back to Idaho on my phone after we spent Thanksgiving with family in Oregon. I need to cough up some money once of these years and go see this game in Corvallis. But i also have some BYU football in the big 12 conference ro watch.

I don't remember which game it was, but it was reported that one of the goals was seen being carried down Monroe. A plan to protect the posts didn't exist. From then on unless the game was a blowout, security always protected them.
Refs did everything in their power to make sure the beavs lost this game, and along with their lack of a passing game I thought this game was done for in the 3rd. But low and behold, go beavs!

As a USC fan when I think about it, this game ultimately blew our playoff chances. Because Oregon losing meant Utah would get that other spot in the PAC 12 championship game and we would have to play the one team lost to all season again, and sure enough the Utes came into the Vegas and embarrassed us. And it was bye bye playoff. Wow

I actually helped a (im estimating) 50 year old woman up after she fell. She still ran out to the middle like anyone else. Adrenaline is awesome. Where a lot of people struggled was getting back up lol.

Listen. I love when there’s upsets and love it when teams rush the field. But why are we doing it for literally anything. Teams like Tennessee had a reason too, but for teams like Florida state it doesn’t really make sense.
That 1st 4th down stop by OSU definitely would have been some sorting of taunting penalty on the defense if it were in the NFL
