My party was special. I gave them everything they needed to burn down a goblin encampment. It took some less than subtle nudging to get them to set everything on fire. Apparently they thought they could take 60+ goblins at level 1.
I've always thought a developer commentary and outtakes cut would be super popular for heavy development games such as BG3. Like once you complete all the achieves, you get a version of the game where the enemies/allies/npcs deliver remarks on design/player choices in the most 4th wall breaking way possible.

I liked how in Disgaea DS completing the game once unlocked essentially that, with a Prinny on the top screen giving funny commentary during cutscenes. Plus, if you really want to you can unlock that commentary pretty much at the beginning of the game, given that the game's definition of 'complete' includes the out-of-nowhere 'bad' ending you get if you mess up one of the first bossfights.
Okay the Gary thing is funny but can we stop and appreciate how cute that chibi drawing of Astarion at the table with his little teeth out is? He's such a menace.
I'd love for the entire adventure to be described AS IT SEEMS, but then the narration breaks and it's them trying to make a bunch of kids play the story, so so so willing to buy this.
The BG3 Narrator running a kindergarten for the BG3 Companions is my absolute favorite headcannon. Just imagining Gale off in the corner eating paste because Astarion told him is was magic glue, meanwhile Ms Narrator has to keep separating Shadowheart and Lae'zel to stop them from fighting. Wyll is definately the good boy of the group, regular teacher's pet.

I personally feel like you just have to expect things to go off the rails pretty often... As a DM, acceptance is realizing that regardless of whatever your intended adventure was, your players are going to have the adventure they want. Even if that adventure is ignoring the looming threat of a zombie apocalypse in favor of a surprise episode where the warlock and bard act as wingmen for the wizard to finally get laid. 😂
This reminds me of when you find out Orin is a shape shifter and you talk to Astarion and he goes on a rant about how he doesn’t know if he should be concerned if anyone in the team is acting different or not because everyone is fucking weird normally lol
