be careful not to always be powering hard on that 3rd gear.. eventually it would burn up the synchronizers and it will grind every time you try to shift into it... But your car is basically still brand new at only 24k miles. Nice ride for sure.

The POV video was a brilliant idea and very well done. Have you had an opportunity to drive the Gen one V-10 version yet, and would you consider making a comparison video about the feel of your car vs other R8 models, now that you've had a good amount of seat time in your car?

H! You are right about the s2000 I bought it last year and I have no regrets. A lot of fun to play with the 6 speed till over 8000 rpm. Fun cars are not those who have specially the most HP. The s2000 is not specially fast on straight lines but it’s just fun to drive! The R8 manual will probably be my next purchase, let see. Anyways have fun and be safe!

Do you think the R8 would be a safe car to learn manual on?
I got a 2005.5 Audi Quattro 2.0, love it, esp in Wisconsin winter. It's got lowered suspension so it feels like driving a go cart. I can't imagine not driving a manual. Anything else newer impedes my old school style, not interested. Even if I could afford a new model I'd want to keep the old one and restore it back up. The R8 came out as a sports car with the V8. When they released the V10 it became a supercar. Although it does look nice you have a first gen sports car.
Absolutely agree with CR. Just because the car was made with a V8 and V10 option doesn’t mean the V8 can’t be a supercar. It is all about the entire package. This logic would suggest that due to the V12 options from Lamborghini or Ferrari, none of their other cars could be considered supercars.
