Stainless is always worth keeping in a separate barrel! :) ...
I find a LOT of these bathroom faucets in my ara (in Canada) those parts PLASTIC :(
I keep it separate to give away for RECYCLE, because it's better to recycle it anyway ..
Here. recycle is free,. but anything that goes in the cump you have to pay for a tag
