@@UnderTimothy Haha. I've only listened twice through. I have 5 more to go. Folklore felt more cohesive sonically. And slightly more catchy. I feel like folklore offers the kind of music that you can equally enjoy "on the go" while driving or walking, and sitting still with a cup of tea and listening closely to every lyric of every song. Evermore, on the other hand, feels more intense lyrically, and it's more of a poetry session. So if I set up myself for a poetry session, I enjoy it and it gives me goosebumps and shivers. But I can't say that the music alone makes me enjoy this record. Folklore, for me, you could take the lyrics out and I would still love it. Evermore - not so much.

I really think there is going to be a third album. I think this is part of a trilogy. Looking at the music video, where they have wandered once they found each other. The albums are escapism and you need to find yourself in escapism. The three cardigans she released. And this album just feels like a middle, you know? Deeper into the forest, but eventually, she has to come out. Or that is just me wanting more Taylor because there can never be enough.
NO BODY NO CRIME!! I WAS LIKE!! SHE DID THAT!! AND THE REST OF THE ALBUM!! HOW THIS IS BETTER THAN FOLKLORE!! IM DED!!! I MEAN THE HARDEST QUESTION EVER BE: reputation VS folklore VS evermore
It’s not just the lyrics that gave me chills during Tolerate It, but the way she sings it and the sound of the song really just makes it so chilling and amazing.
I'm quite happy with Taylor's new releases. But I hope that non Taylor fans get surprises like these from their favorite artists too. Reason is, everyone needs an experience like this to escape the messed up world we're living in right now. Edit: Ok here's my honest thoughts on Folklore and Evermore as a whole after more multiple listening sessions. I've posted this comment at least a 1000 times so far but can't help it Lol Folklore is in black and white, Evermore is brighter and colorful. If Folklore is a 31st December, Evermore is the 1st January. The correlation between the two is perfectly represented by the two music videos. Same concept, but different outcomes. One left me broken, the other gave me closure. For example, the MV for Cardigan ended without closure. But the Willow MV picked up from that ending and did the same concept. "I think I've seen this film before and I didn't like the ending" But now we got another ending that we really like. Cardigan: You drew stars around my scars, now I'm bleeding Willow: Show me the places where others gave you scars So, although it's the same windy atmosphere, you can feel that the morning sun is coming up over the horizon. Many references are there in this new video like mad woman, invisible strings, seven, Mirrorball etc. So it was a perfect representation of what these 2 albums did for her and for us. Folklore is all about self reflection and coming to terms with the past but maintaining some of the pain and regrets. You can see glimpses of Evermore vibes in it too. But the train wasn't moving and she wasn't out of the woods yet. In came Evermore swooping in with swagger. It picked up from the point where Folklore left. The train was moving. Still carrying the emotional baggage of the past but not letting it stop her from going on a much needed journey I should say. Finally it's going somewhere. Both drew inspiration from fictional characters and drawing parallels between them and her own life. Such an underrated talent. And mark my words, Evermore is going to play an important role in her transition into the next era and future projects. Most artists struggle with producing a cohesive single album and here's our girl accomplishing that with 2 albums. Not to forget the throwbacks to past 7 albums here and there on these two. Now, some may like folklore better than evermore and vice versa. Quite understandable. But personally for me i love them both equally. Initial releases are like cramming for exams overnight. And I was a bit skeptical about Evermore because Folklore set the bar so high. But i'm an idiot. What do I know 🤷♂️ Give it time and be in the right frame of mind, devoid of the "initial release expectations" and Gold rush. That's how you get the story. In the end, Taylor proved why she's the best and knows exactly how to bounce off of an idea. Apart from 4 or 5 songs on my first listen, a lot of songs kind of threw me off and left me confused. But then I listened to both albums back to back over and over again. And it all fell right into place. Both definitely deserve our undivided attention. And if someone tries to make her feel like an old cardigan under someone's bed, we're here to put it on because she's our favorite through thick and thin....and for evermore.... Just a Proud male swiftie here. Cheers!! 🍻

You couldn't be more right on your comments about "tolerate it." I was that person who gave his all to someone who didn't appreciate it. When you said THAT was the saddest thing that could happen to someone, I looked back at those 11 years. But. It's been 11 years since that and at least I got out alive and with two wonderful sons. Honestly, if I'd had this song + "exhile" back then I probably wouldn't had felt so shattered and alone... So, my dear Steven, YOU NAILED IT!

There is also a theory that Dorothea and her ex went to the same school as betty james and augustine (august girl's actual name, taylor confirmed it)
Oh Cool!
I feel like tis the damn season and champagne proplems are connected, I can't shake this thought off
The Taylor Swift’s vinyls in the background is wow
I don't know if anyone else has said this but u definitely need to check out the lyric videos especially for marjorie!!!
It's absolutely amazing!!!!!
It’s like 3am and I just listened to the album and this is the first place I’m coming after
It's evermore ...I have watched this guy since his first Taylor swift reaction ..now it forevermore
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, that's Taylor Swift releasing albums
According to Wikipedia, "Cowboy Like Me" features Marcus Mumford on backing vocals. That sounds about right.
With no body, no crime "This is gonna be the next single!"....
oh honey, knowing Taylor, she is not gonna do that.... (Looking at Exile, Getaway Car, Cruel Summer and a lot of others hahaha)
I was literally staying up just waiting for you to react. 🖤
tolerate it reminds me SO much of Charles and Diana. these lyrics line up perfectly if you've watched the newest season of The Crown ughhhh
I still can’t believe that she has released it!!! I’m shocked! She is very talented woman! I’m so glad that you reacted to evermore. It’s OBVIOUS MASTERPIECE!!!
Taylor Swift saving our insanity during 2020 with her albums 💕 Thank you Ms.Swift & thank you Steven for doing these videos. You always make me smile with them 💕😊
her voice is so dynamic, it's actually insane how good she sounds in every genre ✨
Well the moment I knew Taylor was releasing another album, I started getting excited about Steven's Video ❤❤❤
So, my dear Steven, YOU NAILED IT!
evermore isn’t just a wonderful album filled with amazing songs, it tells it’s own story in a way no one else ever could, her songwriting just connects us, through music, with her! no body, no crime is my fav so far✨
When track 5 scenes is like keep coming into your head and all you have to feel is feel sad and almost cry. What a perfect way to picture-scene a song. Damn!.
Taylor swift and miley cyrus have put music out that have freaking healed me. Literally 3 THREE albums this year, i rarely ever listen to full albums but ughhhhh those 3, those are MINE.
Totally loving your interpretation of closure I agree it fits perfectly
Thank you, Steven. Honestly, the next best thing after experiencing the album for the first time is watching others experience them and pick up their interpretarions. Thank you for getting this up so quickly!!!!
def a brighter tone. she’s singing in a higher octave also when in folklore it was a lower, darker tone and v piano heavy.
The best: no body, no crime
Here 🇧🇷
Say one "hello" to Brazil!
No Body No Crime is definitely a standout. Masterpiece. Like a Dateline episode.
Taylor has always loved crime/murder shows.
The way she says DIED at the end of no body, no crime...CHILLS
Also: cowboy like me supremacy
steven: do you hear that harmony???
me: oh he's not ready for ivy
Willow is attached to invisible string , peace , seven check out the video for it.
@@nefooooooos Dorothea is attached to Marjorie
I think mirrorball is also attached since she was in the glass box and she was doing everything for people to look at her
There are easter eggs in willow music video about seven, mirrorball, exile and mad woman
I cried she she announced that she was releasing another album btw love your reaction
steven you should watch the lyric video for majorie. it features snippets of her grandmother and it's so sweet :(
Majories voice is so haunting in the background!! I love it so much!
Just noticed his tee shirt and I’m living for the TS review in the Metallica shirt 😆
"Is this going to be happiness or sadness? You never know with Taylor Swift."
I literally cried laugh when you said that! So true!
The way you naively assume that evermore will have a second single...WHO KNOWS AT THIS POINT?
this reminds me of when Prince did Hit N Run phase 1 and 2 just months apart. Perfect companions. I wish he was still here to help her thru the Scooter Braun bullshit. He sold her off a second time, and he knew what that felt like. You can't stop creativity. It's a perfect "sister" project. I loved Coney Island, it was the first track I heard. And I'm from there. Perfect mood. Cowboy like Me is giving me solid Emmy Lou Harris vibes. This direction is so comforting in such a dark year.
The lyric video to Marjorie is absolutely worth watching when you get the chance. It adds so much more in my opinion
Thats Marcus Mumford from Mumford & sons harmonizing with her on cowboy like me🤗
I feel like I’m still dreaming, Taylor stop it I’ve not yet got over folklore and you do this😭❤️💜
Set my alarm for 5am so I could listen as soon as it came out and cry in my bed 🤣 I think I may actually like this even more than Folklore! So looking forward to watching this reaction, I love the enthusiasm and open-mindedness you approach all kinds of music with!
