The narrative of Xavier of turning on the X-Men is lacklustre. Ever since Krakoa formed, the mutants have had strong stories and ideological traits that thrived. But ever since the end of Krakoa, it seems that Marvel is doing a Star Wars. In that, the legacy characters are ruined to appease the new direction. In this, Xavier is ruined. The mutants failed in Krakoa etc. All this is a way for Marvel to justify leaving Krakoa. However, I personally loved Krakoa. And I loved Apocalypse being right.

Massive casualties occurred as well, as more imminent death was certain due to decisions/action before/during the Gala. If Xavier didn't negotiate something, would the remaining and unprepared mutants in other parts be more prone for death, captivity or injury is unknown. Is it better to fight to the death till the last or retreat? Since the bulk of the mutants left via the gates into the White Hot Room, how many escaped certain death? Cyclops was blind-sided attack by Fascist Steve Rogers overconfident that he could defeat a non-mutant, barely escaping death. Jean's action, Emma Frost, White King/Kingpin, Start managed with Kitty Pride and other fortunate mutants to avoid death or capture managed to unify mutants/allies for a resistance action. Arakko Mars was attacked by returning Arakko mutants and fighting a Civil War that they were fortunate to overcome after destruction. If Orchis had supported the Storm's Arakko's mutants, it might have ended differently or if Orchis Stellar had jumped in, the tides might be different. Destiny's visions of what was coming might be expecting Xavier's Gala and this action, it's unknown at this time. I wasn't looking forward to how they resolved the Fall of the House of X, but this issue actually makes me curious about Krakoa, Arakko/Mars mutants and Xavier's scheme. Mutants could always relocate to another planet, but they choose not to. If we think about the Pilgrims/Puritans leaving England/Europe for a better life in the new world, they made a huge choice to leave family/friends for a acceptable living. Same goes for the pioneering individuals/families, traveling west, as the Native Americans on the Trail of Tears, leaving their homeland for something that wasn't death and destruction. Is leaving better than death? Mutants keep demanding to remain and fight rather than leave, expecting equality among humans when even when mutant rule wasn't always equal among mutants. Hmmmm, who is without sin, casting the first stone?

It's interesting how Xavier is portrayed by recent writers. I am a GenX long-time reader of the X-Men books. In the 80s and 90s, Professor X was a peaceful, wise educator and father figure of excellence. Heck, when the Age of Apocalypse run came out in my late teens, it was to illustrate how essential Charles was to the MU. Now, to the other generations, he's written as a jerk. Interesting evolution.
That Storm intro had me forget for second how much i hate what just happened with Xavier. Wouldn't blame 90% of mutants if they were willing to say F the humans but Charles would not be one of them. I know he's mad off right now but his dream has been his main thing his entire publication &for them to wipe it away like this just doesn't make sense to me. Not only is it rushed but I feel that they're just gonna blame the Sinister in Xavier &all of this will eventually mean nothing, long term for Charles
I wholeheartedly disagree that this is in character for Xavier to do. How many times has he been the one to convince the X-Men to risk everything for the sake of humanity? Even and especially when mutants would stand to gain from humanities extinction? If anything, Magneto, Sinister, Dark Beast, Moira X, or another ethically dubious Mutant nationalist would. I understand that he's been the victim of numerous character assassinations since the Morrison Era, but the Prof. X that I grew up with would never compromise his beliefs this way.
Or, like Nekra suggested in Sabretooth unleashed, he just didn’t want to know what Hank was doing. Which, considering Legion of X had Blindfold verbally assassinate Charles into admitting that he didn’t want to find Legion when he was a kid just because he didn’t know how to handle a child like him, it’s safe to say that Xavier’s apathy is really messy.
His dream was the start of this. Protecting people who hate you, but now makes a deal to end them. I will say, the humans in Marvel are very hateful towards mutants. Sometimes I think they don’t deserve saving. As for the ending of the video, that was the best description/introduction to Storm that I have ever heard. 💙. Storm has been my favorite character, since the first time I saw her on the animated series. She is a fair, powerful, and driving presence. No matter what power level you possess, she will fight for what is right. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙. This is going to have a crazy ending.

Professor Xavier is basically the Politician who will do anything it takes to serve what he believes to be the " Greater Good " . He has been doing this as far back in the Original Run of the X-Men . Go back to those comics in 63 . Read his thought 💭 bubbles . He has been unwavering in his beliefs . When you go back to AvX , read the stories that lead up to that storyline that caused Cyclops to become a horrible person . All of that was caused by Xaviers manipulation of his students . Many of them that he considered his children . Charles has been in the wrong many times . Why they decided to make Scott Summers ( Cyclops ) a bad guy boggles my mind . Scott is basically the Steve Rogers of the Mutants . He was that nice guy who always did the right thing ,or at least tried to . Schism imo was a bad storyline . Humanity has betrayed Mutants so many times . Even when they could have told humans to eff off . They've been hunted. , been victims of Genocide , Apartheid , subjection , slavery , and still Scott Summers tried to do the right thing . I understand why Scott cracked and don't hold it against him . Xavier on the other hand has always been that person the writers tried to turn Cyclops/ Scott into . Even when he seemed like that great leader he was secretly manipulating mutants and humans . Scott has been redeemed . Can Xavier ever be that great guy many believed he was ? Maybe he is just irredeemable .
You know what is another plot point that was completely forgotten. about is that yellow jacket. Enter the bloodstream of pyro. They did absolutely nothing with that plot point. 😂
Damn, Charlie breaking bad... AGAIN?! And this time, in the worst possible way; genocide! We need Avengers-era Beast to talk Xavier down! Also, I'm starting to confuse Xavier with The Maker, wearing that helmet, and all. Side note: seeing Scott talking to Xavier in the softball field in his yellow undies was kinda funny to me. I think Scott needs to bring out those (better) brief-less uniforms he used to rock. I was hoping the Krakoa era would last longer, as it opened up so many storytelling possibilities. Seems Apocalypse agrees, and through his efforts, maybe we'll see Krakoa again. Seems to me that once Hickman left, Marvel just lost excitement for this storyline, and now they just want to hurry and wrap this up and get on with bringing the X-Men (and related mutants) back to the 90s with oversaturation, now that they'll be appearing in the MCU. Brother Ernie, I don't think anyone has ever made Ororo Munroe sound so fucking badass in her entire history lmao! The Belt Collector, indeed!
To me my X-Men Fans! We need to get my Pitch to Feige My pitch either is that the mutants live on Krakoa and have always existed in the MCU but have used a machine created by Xavier, Magneto and Forge that wipes the memories of the existence of mutants from the world using all the telepaths and ForgetMeNot. Cyclop leads the X-Men which has 7 members. Cyclops, Jean, Iceman, Wolverine (Laura) and Synch. Cyclops would be training Synch to become leader before he is to join the Quiet Council. Stryfe would be the main villan fighting against Bishop to find Captain Louise Spalding before she gives birth to Hope. I would love to write the X-Men Trilogy (X-MEN MESSIAH COMPLEX, X-MEN SIN OF SINISTER, X-MEN AGE OF APOCALYPSE) along with series titled KRAKOA. Sinister would be the main villan of Krakoa and It would focus on the Quiet Council. 12 episodes each one on a member of the Quiet Council.
Is it tho? Isn't it lazier to keep all characters who were seen as heroes as simply good in any circumstance? I don't like him being a villain/sleaze/hypocrite anymore than the next guy, but even I have to admit they show layers to characters by showing where they'll compromise their ideals. At least it's consistent with him being brought to his lowest point on Krakoa.
@@bajansamurai I’d agree if they didn’t do this with him every few months. It’s an entire trope at this point. What makes the latest more frustrating is how illogical he’s been and how he just doesn’t learn his lesson. It’s unrealistic storytelling
@@AsiefD I'm annoyed by it too, but honestly I'd say when a crisis is going down, an extended one at that, people don't tend to learn their lessons. They tend to spiral. When they're sat down later and shown the error of their ways that's when they either wise up or double down. At this point (again, even though I don't like it) I can see the person who thinks they're carrying the fate of mutantkind on their back making a deal that sells out humankind. That said, I also think/hope this is a feint to make the machines trust him and instead there's something he's cooked up between Moira and Rachel to take out Nimrod, Omega Sentinel and Enigma in one decisive swoop.
I'm surprised that everyone's taking it at face value?? He more or less tells Scott that this is a temporary thing that it's a ploy to play Orchis. Like it's not going to help anyone's trust issues with him but I don't understand why everyone thinks he's suddenly done a 180° on humans and pledged himself to Nimrod? Like we just saw him set up a trap in baby Moira.
Let’s see how much enthusiasm there is in 12 months, lol.🎉 Maybe Marvel will just make every issue a #1 to keep the paint eaters happy. This is a return to the same tired angles that but the X-Men on the back burner after House of M.
idk. maybe they should hear Xavier out. They tried living with humanity. Plus who is going to stop Nimrod? He probably got an UI mode now that he has sentinel city. that boy ain't right.
If Marvel was making decisions instead of Disney there'd be a chance Xavier could be forgiven but would earn it by sacrificing himself, etc but BECAUSE it's Disney NOTHING-S going to happen to him!😠
...I feel the whole bit with the crucible was kind of cheapened with what happened in this issue. Like, when it was brought up at the beginning of this era, it was such a personal and intimate thing that mutants had to go through, and now the writers brought it back as a way to bring back Krakoa? With literal blood and death? Like...eh. Though Charles wanting to sacrifice humans for mutant kind, reminds me of Black Panther. As Black Panther would be willing to sacrifice everything for Wakanda, and Wakanda alone. Still, I'm kind of sick of Charles going down this path. It's like the version of evil Superman. It's dull, and boring. Now that doesn't mean Charles shouldn't have flaws, but come on. Charles always had a drive to help people, and I feel that was why Scott and him were able to connect and trust each other back in the day. But even with his flaws, he shouldn't be going this far ffs... Also, the fact Charles is willing to sacrifice all their human Allies, and those who were always on their side trying to help, says so much of how short sighted he really is.

im gonna need apocolypse to reconbine arrako and krakoa into okkara, and make a hidden paradise for mutants..
The one time art switching was cool was when The Watcher was chastising Henry McCoy with possible futures his dumb actions prevented
Wow that epic Storm intro😅 rivaled the X-Men 97 piano intro itself
Your Thumb Nails are Top Tier Bro lol
I agree with Xavier also.
I think it’s safe to assume that Charles Xavier was cool with what Beast Prime was doing in X-Force, and Wolverine 😧😨😳
I'm gonna miss wrongslide, he grew on me in the Krakoan Era.
Do rember you need good PR and mutants don't have that. Rember most people have no clue whats happening and just follow what ever there trusted news source tells them. To damn everyone is to ignore every good kind and loving person in the world. Rember two wrongs don't make a right
@@hellblaze10The crazy thing is that the only villains who seem to have good PR are Fenris.
Kind of makes sense though.
@@christopherbennett5858 Sad truth is the bad guy's have better charisma.
@@hellblaze10 Selene has charisma.
Fenris, on the other hand, are nepo babies. Literally, they threw enough money for people to forget that they are Hydra nepo babies who… well, let’s just say that we could have them and ultimate Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver on the match game.
@@christopherbennett5858 I prefer not to remember that
Professor Xavier is basically the Politician who will do anything it takes to serve what he believes to be the
" Greater Good " .
"That is illogical. Mutants are humans."
When you look at it Charles has done this stuff because he knows Scott is just uncomfortable with it.
Great Intro for Storm!
This was sooo great!!!!
You know what is another plot point that was completely forgotten. about is that yellow jacket. Enter the bloodstream of pyro. They did absolutely nothing with that plot point. 😂
I thought they got Yellow Jacket out and then a telepathic made YJ think he killed not only Pyro but possibly Emma Frost as well.
@@MarquisdeSuaveExactly. Emma basically got them all distracted for the extraction.
"Do your thing cuz".🤣🤣🤣
It works because he is an immigration of every rockslide in the multiverse so he's one person with a lot of lives to give up
That was Michael Butler/ Paul Heyman combo going on there
Damn, Charlie breaking bad...
We need to get my Pitch to Feige
My pitch either is that the mutants live on Krakoa and have always existed in the MCU but have used a machine created by Xavier, Magneto and Forge that wipes the memories of the existence of mutants from the world using all the telepaths and ForgetMeNot.
I would love to write the X-Men Trilogy
(X-MEN MESSIAH COMPLEX, X-MEN SIN OF SINISTER, X-MEN AGE OF APOCALYPSE) along with series titled KRAKOA. Sinister would be the main villan of Krakoa and It would focus on the Quiet Council. 12 episodes each one on a member of the Quiet Council.
Daenerys Targaryen wishes she had such an intro as Ororo Munroe!! 😂
Making Charles Xavier a jerk is the biggest red flag for lazy writing 🥱
Let’s see how much enthusiasm there is in 12 months, lol.🎉
Maybe Marvel will just make every issue a #1 to keep the paint eaters happy.
This is a return to the same tired angles that but the X-Men on the back burner after House of M.
Andy Cap hot fries be busting!!! Storm I had a bag yesterday😅😅😅
Age of Krakoa- Xavier gets worst & Apocalypse becomes a mutant hero!
SHE IS FROOOOOOOM ARRRRAAAAKO!
idk. maybe they should hear Xavier out.
At this point I hope Apocalypse deals with Xavier.
I'd rather this whole story be a single maxi-series, or a cross over event instead of each title having their own story.
