The evolution in teaching has even gotten better than the evolution in kite technology... thank god for that.
The sole purpose of this video now has got to be to show the differences. No new kiter should follow these methods, go to a school that's up to date.

Some good relevant points but so out of date! Please anyone new to Kitesurfing know that technology has made it so much easier, you still need lessons BUT its different world now thank God hahaha

I'm new to this sport and have a chance to buy a like new 6m ocean rodeo kite for 200.00$ with short lines to use as a trainer kite. would you recommend this approach?

Hi Mark, yes its possible but get a lesson first so you know what you are doing for instance so you know where to go, if its safe, if the wind is good, how to set it up, how the safety systems work and how to fly it, you can get all of that done in just one lesson and then just go a play but short lines mean you cant board start, they are good for body dragging but not riding, also make sure you dont go far down wind as when body dragging you always end up much further away from when you started, if you cant walk back upwind then you need to know how to self land the kite. I have a free ebook with the basics on my site www.thekiteboardingcoach.com/ hope that helps Mark :)
