For a beginner (like I am), a video like this is pure gold. This channel is by far the most useful I have seen so far. Thanks a lot and I hope you will do a lot of instructional videos like this.
Probably halfway through my initial lessons and I found this video informative. Most of the detail of this setup is more informative than in the lessons I have had so far.
I’m a sailor, surfer and 🪁 er. These are great tutorials! In this one I missed what one does with the (up side down) Bar, when one walks up wind to let up the kite. Kind regards.
I love these excellent tutorials. My kites have self rescue handles at the tips, and I have experienced the back pigtail dropping through, which is not easy to see when the kite is turned over. If the steering line is connected like this, it will be shortened, making the kite steer rapidly to that side on launching. I now always check this, as well as the front bridles mentioned in the video.
Great tutorials (this video and the others are all amazing)! Also, I really liked the detail where at the end, while demonstrating a risky move, the person who is helping launch gets “knocked out”, great detail :)
Thanks, I'm making a complete playlist to help people with their lessons. I'll be finishing this in the next couple of months: th-cam.com/play/PL41dAinz_9Zd54PL1rxKlvNp-aRVWyCyE.html
It's just a convention. In seafaring starbord is always green and port always red. If you look at kites at most have at least a "redish" or neon color on their left. If you do your setup always the same you know that you're holding your bar the right way e.g. when turning it to untangle the lines.

8:42 min 🤣🤣 lmao 🤙🏽
brilliant video
I'm new to this hobby.
🆗🆒
@@max555555555555555 But what I saw since now people of Kite are really jerks
Thanks for informazion🙏❤️
I like to say to students 'red on the right is wrong' but when setting up the kite, its upside down so the bar should be too.
But I like that 'red to rig'
Why is it important to attach the left end of the bar to the left end of the kite, aren’t kites symmetrical?

Vary good video
Bella topa!.. 😊
always red rig right
Good job 👌
In which Video did. you explain the knots?
in the depowering video
isn't it that the red bar is on the left?
except on setup since the kite is upside down, so Red would be Right for setting up the Rig 😉
Who is the woman in the video
