He looks and sounds great, in my eyes this man is the most underrated guitarist of all time and if it wasn’t for this man I’d have never picked up a guitar or started writing songs! Richie’s been my hero ever since.

Definitely a different tone guitar-wise (and Phil X is outstanding; just different). The biggest loss to me? Sambora’s vocals. He was underrated as a singer and his voice added so much to their songs.
He sounds great. Not stuttering or mumbling. Sounds like he’s cleaned up a lot. This is the Richie we saw in 2012 on his solo record. I hope to see more of him yet. He has more to tell us with his music
Just what I thought. I always was a bit worried when I saw him mumbling in some interviews and asked myself if he still might be struggling.
I'd die for him to put out another album.

Richie’s looking and sounding great here, I’ve usually been quite sad seeing clips of him in recent years, he was obviously in a dark place but I hope he has gotten himself straightened out and found happiness again, he’s an awesome performer and awesome guy, the world needs him!

He might not be one of the best in terms of technique, but he's certainly massively underrated as a player. He was certainly on the edge's of being a shredder in his early years and is possible one of the most tasteful lead players behind the likes of Brian May. He also has one THE best Stratocaster tones of anyone - ever. Would love to see Jon clean himself up, sort his voice out and do one last show with Richie.

I agree most definitely with this statement. His approach was very pragmatic - simple yet effective riffs and catchy solos. I don’t think I could count 5-6 songs of their entire catalogue that are sort of difficult on the guitar and bass, but they’re hella of memorable. His tone is unbelievably amazing, very tasty and decent shredding techniques here and there.
It’s a shame that people have such a bad opinion about Bon Jovi in genereal cus they’re the stereotype of fancy pop metal hits which is totally not true. People should give a listen to albums like Keep the Faith, Bon Jovi 1984, These Days… A very diverse and fun catalogue, all the way from classic rock n roll to old school metal, blues , country rock, hard rock.

When he applies himself, he's quite good, such as when he got into blues in the '90s. He had some great solos on his 80s Bon Jovi tracks, as well. Never Say Goodbye might be his best, followed by Living on a Prayer.

What is he? A gorgeous man that took time with his family, continued to do charity, work with music and musicians whether it's an outright album/tour or not, almost 63.
@@tcconnection He's such a talent. I was so lucky to get introduced to Bon Jovi before they went real big and I even saw them perform early on too in the 80's. Richie Sambora is an incredibly talented guy and hats off to him for putting his family first. Says a lot for the guy.
