I agree, I'm sure he is sick of hearing that question... I'm going to see Bon Jovi in the fall and needless to say I REALLY hope he is there, but I'm not going to expect it. Just a little disappointed as this is my first show and I've been a fan since Slippery When Wet came out.. I have seen (in videos) and have heard about the magic of Jon and Richie in concert and would love to see it in person. I will always love all of the guys no matter what :-)
its good that he left. He needed to focus on himself and his daughter. Just because he left doesn't mean he doesn't have respect for john. Hopefully he goes back to the back if only for a little bit. Not sure how long johns voice will hold out.
I just read that Ritchie was too drunk to play in-tune at MTV Unplugged 2007, so his mic had to be turned off. But, that had plenty of musicians on stage to cover. Wow. There is more going on than being said and doesn't sound like just Jon's issue. Per, entertainentwise, "Jon was clearly upset, but kept it together and handled it like a true pro!". I heard today that sadly, Ritchie will NO LONGER BE PART OF THE BAND.
I don't know why when a band has a problem, everybody is desperate for finding the guitly.. Don't you people have problems with your own family sometimes? I guess we all do at one point.. but then you get along and go on. They have been together for 30 years.. and people expect everything to be cool always.. Lennon and McCartney had problems too.. stop insulting Jon or Richie... S H I T happens.. thats the end of it..
It's amazing to me people want Richie to waste his talent and skill playing in bonjovi by playing this soft rock pop stuff there is no challenge in it it's easy to play no real riffs jon himself said a number of times that he does not let Richie lose enough on the songs except for the song Dry County that was a long time ago if your a creative guitar player your not gonna play boring music
IMO it's not just Jon with a problem. I love Richie and want to see him come back BUT he walked out on the band AND the fans, we can't only blame Jon. IMO if Richie really wants to come back he will, why would Jon not allow it? That makes no sense. Jon knows fans love Richie and want him back. If Jon is all about the money like some say, then not allowing Richie to come back is a very bad financial decision. . Let's not forget Tico and Dave are still with Jon, he must not be all that bad :-)
Jon is not to be blamed. Bon Jovi has business deals with the places were they perform. That means that the band has to be professional, show up, perform well. The end. I read an article that told the truth: Richie failed to show up and didn't give a warning. That's simply unacceptable. Can't be allowed to happen. The whole band wants Richie back, but they want him back healthy and reliable..
