- Ride For Peace India Pakistan did a social experiment at Connaught Place in New Delhi. Where one of a rider (Dhaval Gori) presented himself as a Pakistani to capture the reactions of people around. The response that we received was completely mind blowing.

I visited Delhi in October 2009...Though I didnt had an display banner with me but whoever came to know that I m from Lyallpur Pakistan, I got great welcome and best wishes, invitations also. Some people met me from Pune or so and they officially invited me..... We r one at heart n soul despite of political differences. Love and peace from Pakistan.

i guess people in both countries don't really hate each other but it's the government and media that are continuously trying to make us hate and kill each other. The first time i ever met a Pakistani national was on Indian Independence day this year in Dusseldorf, Germany.... i had a severe leg injury and was limping to a tram stop from my office.. of all the individuals who saw me in agony, a gentleman stopped his car , offered me lift and dropped me home.... he wished me Happy Independence day and revealed he is from Pakistan.... i will always be grateful to him and still have lunch with him on several ocassions...... I realised that irrespective of the political hostilities between our nations, the people on other side of the border have love and respect for us.... Respect and love from India

Joy falcao even if the story is true that was just an individual aberration from his community, as an Indian u shudn't forget direct action day when a Muslim leaders call for action resulted in a bloodbath of Hindus and Sikhs in India, I'm glad that the Indian and Pakistani community lives peacefully abroad but the history proves Pakistanis cannot be trusted not one bit. And those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Good to here something that mature from a school kid. There are both good and bad people in India as well as in Pakistan. Some bad people on both sides have personal benefit in keeping India and Pakistan at war. As you grow up they will try to confuse you but you do not let those bad people change your attitude. Study well, learn world history and the history of India and Pakistan from unbiased perspective.
Also, never feel sorry for bad English. We are not slaves of British anymore. English is not our mother tongue. But that does not mean you should not learn to speak good English. Learn as many languages as you can. Every new language you learn will open up a whole new world for you. And yet, never feel sorry for not knowing a foreign language, because no one in world feel sorry for not speaking Urdu/Hindi/Punjabi or any of our languages.

@ Nasser MJ - with due respect - and without wanting to re-litigate the whole issue of the sub-continent - as an Indian - I do not see any Kashmir issue - unless it is the one created by Pakistan. Not sure why Kashmir is such an obsession with Pakistan - when it has such a hard time making the best of what it already has? So - if Pakistan focused on making good of what it has - and chill on Kashmir for a while - it will all work out I believe, Inshallah!

@@SheryAwan123 - Yes! India is building dams - but I do not see India ever violating the Indus river treaty. It never has till date - and it never will. I can virtually guarantee it. No Indian government can hope to survive doing so politically - regardless of what Modi says. And I also think that he is threatening this - only as a helpless, frustrated response to cross-border terror incursions.
I also think Pakistan not building dams and reservoirs will be what will be the biggest issue that effects it - when it comes to this matter. Most analysts from Pakistan say this as well.
(And maybe, if Pakistan is willing - India can help or contribute to building of these - like we are doing in Afghanistan - and as a gesture towards permanently resolving matters between us? :-) ).
So - if Pakistan has an ironclad guarantee about non-violation of Indus river treaty in perpetuity - does that then permanently settle the Kashmir issue, from your perspective? :-)
