5043 Earl of Mount Edgcumbe - The Cathedrals Express to Hereford and Cardiff 22/06/2024
So the plan for the day was Widney Manor Station then onto Ludlow via 3 different trains for the outward journey and then Craven Arms onto Tyseley for the return journey.
The day started off badly with me forgetting to put new battery into camera so as i was recording it died on me but managed to change them before it left, it was then onto Ludlow only to be thwarted getting there in time due to a trespass incident once awaiting a train at Sandwell and Dudley to Shrewsbury so missed the connecting train there so I spent an hour or 2 in Shrewsbury once I arrived before then heading onto Craven Arms to await the return, only had 6 or so hours to wait in the sun and fresh countryside air for it around arriving 18.15 but as i was waiting at Craven Arms footbridge just before the station i give a wave to ‪@LiamsLocos‬ who passed me on a train on his way to Abergavenny, I then managed to get all connecting trains back into Birmingham heading for Tyseley even passing 5043 at Cosford loop but unfortunately for me it decided to depart Birmingham New Street around 15 minutes earlier than the planned timing so I was stuck at Birmingham Moor Street as it came around past St Andrews and onto the line to Tyseley Station.
All in all it was a very disappointing day with only 2 captures out of the 4 planned but win some and lose some, today I lost but onto the next steam train adventure 🚂

Thanks mate, could of covered a few more to Ludlow if it wasn't for trespassers lol. at least I was still in England though you went to another country 🤣

Why did it slow at craven arms piss?

It was 3 minutes early there and then by the time it past Church Stretton it was running 14 late so was held up for some reason, disappointing day all round unfortunately

@@AndysSteamAdventures On the way back from Cardiff there was some confusion with signalling, the route was set though Shreswbury to the north rather than towards Telford, the train had to call the signaller and wait for it to be altered.
