I think he's appropriately rated. He's consistently an above average player. He's not a superstar or star level player that can carry team, but he's a good player that's most effective when he's not regularly the primary or even secondary player on offense. I'm not a fan of his after I realized he wouldn't ever live up to his expectations, but I do know what he does well, and I agree the Nets are the perfect fit for him.

I’ve seen him do so not only during that 17 game win streak (16 reg season & Gm 1 Vs Heat) but on numerous other occasions when Jojo was hurt.

In the hawks series he shot under 40% from the foul line. He’s a basketball player and Philadelphia asked him to attempt to shoot a basketball and he cried and threw a fit. @@jacobbellingham1839 I was lucky enough to chat with Simmons when LSU toured Australia before the start of Ben's lone season playing college ball. I interviewed Simmons and he was a really nice, genuine, down-to-earth dude.
He's often miscast as being aloof or arrogant.... but really, he's just extremely shy and very introverted. People expect a certain personality type from elite athletes like Simmons. He's wealthy, talented, famous, and good-looking.... so everyone expects guys like him and Kawhi Leonard to be really outgoing and confident because they seemingly "have it all".
Both him and Kawhi are very quiet and introverted.... and because they don't fit the mould of what we expect a superstar athlete "should be", they come across as being robotic or cold. Simmons (like Kawhi) is just a quiet, reserved guy that would rather do just about anything than give an interview. The two of them are just shy, borderline nerdy dudes that happen to be trapped in the body of a tall, chiselled, elite athlete multi-millionaire. 😅😅
