The fact that Alter Bridge isn't more popular than they already are is RIDICULOUS. Popular music is nothing but regurgitated nonsense, meanwhile the real talent sits in the shadows of performers who can barely sing or play an instrument let alone write their own music. AB4LIFE!

Yeah they are mega stars in Europe. Should be the same here in the US too but instead people wanna listen to shit music. These guys are incredible. You don't often see a duo that are amazing guitarists and songwriters.

I've seen a lot of great guitar-combos like Jason Becker and friedman, Mick thomson and Jim Root, Matt Heafy and Corey Beaulieu, Jeff Loomis and Michael Ammot, Jeff Hanneman/Gary Holt and Kerry King, Herman Li and Sam Totman so on. But these guys Myles and Mark can both sing and playing guitar so good. That's why Alter Bridge is a rarity and a band who has another level of musicman to offer to the audience.

This is what I love about Alter Bridge, the mix of heavy and hardcore rock sound with the softer ballads. It is a fusion that is unique, a genre in its own right in my opinion because there is no comparing Alter Bridge....
Most bands are too scared to do it for fear of alienating their audience. I like that AB trust that their audience tonget it.
I was raised on Creed since the '90s, and when Alterbridge came out in 2004, I was BLOWN AWAY!! Still love them, 1995-2013.

Love Alter Bridge saw them at Wembley in 2009 they were awesome. Only truly great singers can sing perfectly live and Myles nails it every time, note perfect...
I know "ballad" is kind of a dirty word in the Rock n Roll world but I wish AB would release an acoustic album of their softer, ballad-like songs. While the studio version of Wonderful Life is good, it was over-produced to hell in my opinion and the acoustic version is extremely superior.
Same goes for Watch Over You and You Will Be Remembered and Rise Today. Sound better acoustic for sure. Love Alter Bridge but I wish some of their stuff wasn't so heavy sounding
Yeah I would love that. Wonderful Life is such a special and emotional song. Everything about that song is just so sad. The lyrics, the chords, the vocals, but at the same time it's such a beautiful song. I love their heavy stuff, but man can they write some amazing slow/soft stuff.
I agree, even though I love the album version of Wonderful Life.
But there's one thing that for me is something the acoustic versions have yet to do is the emotions on that "And with one last embrace" at the end of the song. Myles sings that from his heart, I can feel it. So beautiful!
I don't think Myles will ever be as recognized as much as Freddie Mercury, but I do agree with the guy who said he in class with the greats. The reason I don't think he will be as recognized has nothing to with ability or performance, but rather the popularity of music. Queen showed up in the '70s when rock music was running rampant, got a huge fan base, and took off. Alter Bridge on the other hand, has a dedicated fan base, but is not very recognized because now it's all hiphop and pop music
I have just recently lost my twin brother to cancer and this song means so much and hits the nail right on the head, amazing!
I remember first hearing alter bridge and my thought was that Myles voice was too good to be true, so I listened to one day remains and just thought, no way he is that good. So then I listened live, been years I still can't get over how good his singing is!
Myles Kennedy is absolutely amazing...I love this guy...he's a great musician, an incredible singer and such a humble guy!!!!

I truely believe that Myles is the new Freddie Mercury when we talk about performing live. Freddie was amazing live, he's energy and voice killed in stage.... now Myles brings so much emotion on his voice, maybe the best rock voice since the time of the Great Ones: Freddie / Robert Plant / Roger Daltrey, etc.

For this reason I was surprised they played it so soon, right after the beginning of tour.

My grandfather was diagnosed with cancer, they thought they caught it early 3 years ago...and it's back with a vengeance. I made my omfg-it's-rock-music-hating family listen to this after Easter dinner yesterday...not a dry eye in the room about half way through the song. There's truly something powerful in the way AB (and my fellow Eastern Washington State native, Myles) make music. Thanks so much for giving us hope not only in the future of music, but in life as well. AB Forever...
